i always look forward to these videos. unlike everyone else who does videos about performance, you actually show everything in the sneaker. hands down my favorite sneaker page.
Zach literally the goat at this, i played for years in the wrong shoes, finding this page I really feel like I’ve learned which shoes I’ll preform my best in. That’s so clutch being an athlete and being able to be more productive and my feet aren’t all beat up knees did a complete 180 I thought my dunking days were behind me, I had the wrong size and wrong shoe for the kinda of player iam . I been telling all my team mates about their shoes and they agree their preforming better by not just wearing shoes they hooped n ran in for years
Dude your testing is crazy, unparalleled. I wouldn’t even think to ask you to test the bounce of the foam but it gives incredibly insightful info. I hope this channel goes to the moon
Good morning, Zach. Very informative review as always. I really appreciate your efforts in quantifying the various aspects of the shoes to evaluate its performance. The URS rating system is a great idea. Of all the basketball shoe reviewers that are out there, I trust your analysis the most since you take a scientific approach to the subject. Great work! 👍👍👍
hey zach, please keep up the good work! I always look forward to your videos, i’ve been watching multiple sneaker review channels since I was in middle school and now i’m about to graduate college. I’ve watched kickgenius back in the day, classic nightwing, sammy from soledrop and so many more but to be honest, I think you’re my favorite. You’re so detailed and provide SO much information. I love the cut in half that you do, the science that you conduct, and the effort that you put into each review. Please do not disappear like so many of these reviewers have! You are awesome!
Love the look of these, and as a flat footer I'm sure I'd enjoy them. To me, double stacked Zoom is unreal, but can take time getting used to (unless you're already used to that, or Unlocked Zoom like they had on some of the older Jordan models in the 2010s.) Definitely nice for those who like to play more explosive or need that impact protection.
@@Anon.G I think it comes down to preference honestly haha. But curious to hear your thoughts! For me I feel like double stacked, slightly protruding, or full length cushions have been my go to for doing so, more so due to the consistent bounce back/spring effect I get.
@@seouleshoes I just sink into the huge cushion, look at what pro dunker's wear, they like shoes like Kobe's, good court feel. The cushion is an energy sink. Nobody dunks in a thick soled lebron.
@@Anon.G Hahaa, there's guys who rock Brons for sure, Jordan Kilganon being one of them, but to each their own. Kobe's are just a helluva hoop shoe line and think it's a universally fun line to play in, regardless of style of play. I got some Protro and OG 1s, the 10 lows, OG 6s, etc.
The rebound test is more scientific and objective. Even if Doctor Zach is having an off day or other external factirs are present, the rebound test won't fluctuate like the jump height test
That ball bearing bounce test is awesome! Now that you're incorporating it, it would be pretty interesting to do a recap of all the previous tested shoes 😀
Very nice informative review as usual. Will get a pair because of this. Me and my friends consider you as the best performance shoe reviewer for some time now because of your more scientific approach. But now, with this new rating system and how you measure everything, you just blew by everyone else by leaps and bounds (pun intended 😁) Me and my friends love trying a lot of different shoe every year for basketball and we also watch your reviews before we buy any.
Zach this stuff is awesome. I really like the development of your reviews. Not getting this shoe but still interesting to see. Im really excited about the wade all city 11 though
After trying on the regular AJ37 and finding them to be narrow, I too am pleasantly surprised to hear you describe the low cut iteration of the same shoe to be wide. I am curious about your opinion on the width of these shoes in relation to the PG 6, which is the most recent pair of Nikes that I find the fit to be comfortable. Thanks for your reply.
Hey Doc! Awesome vid as always, ever knowledgeable and great delivery on every technical details based on actual experience wearing them. Are these kicks true to size?!
I got a wide, flat foot. I had a pair of AJ36 but they destroyed my pinky toe.. I'm currently hooping in Bron 7s. I'm not sure how much the insoles make a difference but I always put my Move insoles into my hoop shoes. In what order would you rank these 3 shoes for my type of foot : AJ37 Low, Luka 2, or upcoming Kobe 8 protro?
Nike has this colorway on sale with code spring20 can get em for 119 these do look better in person tried em on last night bit with that I'd be Goin with vthe blue or upcoming bred colorway
While I'm no fan of either high or low... these seem to be the better option but I really just don't see the draw for the 37s, period. So many cheaper options that offer as much or more tech and look way better. Nonetheless, thanks for the breakdown and another great video.

Doctor Zach. I would be glad if you help me. My son is a 15 year old licensed basketball player. He has been playing basketball since he was 8 years old. We live in Turkey. My son has elastic flat sole problem in his foot. The doctors said it was okay for him to play basketball. When the foot is on the ground, it becomes a flat sole, when it is lifted, it becomes a normal sole. I may not be able to write correctly in English. Until last year, he always wore Jordan. (Jordan 4, jordan 11, jordan sapce jam 8 etc.) His feet and knees were sore after training. I researched last year. Kevin Durent also has flat feet. I bought Kd 14, my son's foot and knee pains are gone. But when viewed from behind, it looks like his foot is a little crooked. I bought it at Kd 15. My son didn't like it very much. My son jordan wants 36 or 37. What would you recommend? Should you buy insoles for flat soles and put them in shoes? His doctor said there is no need for such a thing. Should I get Jordan 36 or 37? What would you recommend? Or should we choose other than these models? Could it be pg or curry ? Since there are no Turkish subtitles in your videos, I have a hard time translating and understanding what you are saying. I would be very happy if you write a detailed answer. Thanks.
I’m looking for a shoe for someone with hallux rigidus. My Dr recommended wide and stiff shoes. Using the guide on your site (great resource btw!) I narrowed it down to these or the way of wade 10s. Is there a shoe I’m overlooking? Is it common to have a full length carbon fiber insert in a basketball shoe?
Hey I have an orthopedic inserts and have really bad pain at my arch with my current shoes (kyries) because they aren’t complete flat and it makes the insert tilt. Are the Jordan’s in this video flat and should I go up half a size because I don’t want to risk feeling discomfort again? Thank you!
I find it strange that everyone always says go true to size for Jordans/Nike I have a 9 in sneakers or maybe a 9.5 but in Jordans I need an 11, or I get blisters on my heel within like 5 Sprints that are so bad that they bleed, and I can't wear shoes for a Week... strange
Funny how channels often recommend going a half size down with narrow feet. I have long skinny feet, if I go half size down my toes are pretty much cramped in a shoe. I have a few shoes that were too wide but great in length, found a thin kind of insole that basically fits like a piece of cloth. But solves the problem completely (needed them for Nike Blazer, a few pairs of Vans and Air Force 1. If I get AF1 half size down, they are too small :/ With shoes that probably won't sell out on day 1 it's best to just go to the store and try them on.
I've been playing Kobe 10s, at size 10.5, but would like to find something that fits similar to an 11. do you know if these fit similar in size to the Kobe 10s? Can't find them anywhere, except online.
I just picked up a pair of these but unfortunately they don't fit. I went up a 1/2 size but the toe box and width still to small/narrow. I'll stick with my Dame 8's which work well with my achilles tendinitis and bone spur. I loved my Jordan 36's prior to injury but painful to wear now:( Do you have any other low top recommendation that would work as well/better than the Dame 8's?
Hey Zach I just bought this shoe and I love the performance but the knuckle of my toes rubs against the ridge on the outside of the Leno weave making it very painful . Any ideas on how to fix this. Thanks
