Such a good idea to define what it is about your always-in-the-wash garments that makes them your favorite. For me, it's always burgundy, soft, and comfy. Used to be a worn college tee, but now it's two loose boho/prairie babydoll dresses.
My favourite pieces right now are a pair of dark blue denim high waisted shorts from Country road, and a thrifted small daisy floral print midi dress with three quarter lightly puffed sleeves, and faux wrap style with a high slit and its black. My favourite pair of shoes are square toe chunky heeled black almost calf length boots
Ooh. I love how descriptive you were here ✨️ I can really see all those pieces so clearly 💖 high waistwd amd puff sleeves are 2 of my favourite things. And ditsy florals too
I consume A LOT of style content, and your video is one of the truest/ most common sense video. I’m so glad I found your channel. Very excited for the next episode.
I have a real problem with shopping for my fantasy self. What I have learned is to purchase things second hand from a charity shop for my fantasy pieces. I enjoy them and then declutter them when i no longer enjoy them. Less guilt and better for the planet.😊
I do the same! My local op shops are definitely a go-to resource for me - especially when there's a blurred line between "is this fantasy me or real me" 😭
I am so easily influenced , love colorful and shiny things, and enjoy thrifting. I have to remember how old I am and what is realistic for my lifestyle. Such a great video thank you.
The reality check can hit so hard!! But I do believe in wearing colour at every age, look at Iris Apfel (not that she had a regular lifestyle like most of us 😅)
I am 74 and just love fashion. I have looked at 100's of blogs etc over several years and I stumbled across yours today. I never leave a comment but today you inspired me to do so. The content was spot on, how we love a world of fantasy I suppose it's the little girl coming out in us. I remembered when my youngest son was too big to pick up and I could finally wear white, I felt liberated. Now as a retiree more time is spent at home and one needs once again more practical clothes. So as a women who likes to dress I buy more smart casual and tend to dress up or dress down a lot of the same clothes. I have learnt that accessories are my best friend. So more practical but stylish ideas are what I am looking for these days. Good luck with blog and I look forward to following you. 😊
@@DeeDee-dv5cv I am so honoured you left me a comment to read - thank you for this little snippet into your life! There are so many chapters in our life (especially as women, I feel) and the practical requirements are just a fact of life. We can either fight them or flow with them - and find ways to keep inviting in the stylish aspects as we do so. I'm so glad you're here! ✨
New subscriber! I really appreciate the way you explain your style points and tips. It's like I'm chatting with a sweet friend. I do like being feminine yet practical with those stand out pieces sprinkled in that just step up my style. Great video!
I'm so glad you're here! I feel the same way, love having a natter :) feminine and practical are definitely part of my 'guiding star' words at the moment as well ✨👯♀
@RO-wy5lx I am very drawn to their simple style of clothes, but we don't have a Uniqlo in New Zealand! Will try to find one when I'm on holidays in Australia soon...

It's a great litmus test for what we reach for on repeat ✨️ the dresses sound dreamy (i am moving into dress season here in NZ with spring and summer)

Great style tips! I love the Japanese style too. Rosie 👩🦳 75 Toronto 🇨🇦
Hi Rosie 👋 nice to meet you 😄 I'll have to visit Japan and see it in the flesh some day 😊
Uniqlo in Toronto is a Japanese casual wear retailer ❤️
