I have oily and acne prone skin. My routine is generally: Dermisa sulfur soap or mon savon au lait Tea tree oil from Hollywood beauty as face moisturizer Benzoyl peroxide from Neutrogena for my outbreaks (recently added) Cerave AM 30spf sunscreen/ moisturizer The thing is that I also have brown caramel skin and my face has gotten a bit lighter from when my routine was essentially tea tree oil and mon savon au lait, tea tree really helped but lighten my skin, which I love on my spots but really hate on my overall face and people tend to comment that I am bleaching and I hate that because I really don't want to get lighter, I just want clear skin. I want to revert this process (getting darker face) while still treating my acne. Everytime I stop tea tree oil, my acne gets worse and I tend to develop some painful cysts which stay underneath the skin and have this big bump or those unaesthetic white pimples that I really struggle not to pop off. This condition is getting me crazy sometimes, what is actually working lightens my skin, and when I see great improvement, I can just have those huge outbreaks and back to the beginning 😢 I do notice however that cold weather do me good.

my go to morning routine for my combination (dry, sensitive cheeks with oily t-zone, also rosacea) skin is cosrx good morning cleanser, a low concentration salicylic acid toner with lots of hydration, uriage thermal water and hyaluronic acid serum, a niacinamide & arbutin serum, tea tree oil with aloe vera, simple moisturiser, benton fermented eye cream and then la roche posay/nivea sunscreen. at night i use an oil cleanser for double cleanse, after that i wash my face with cosrx salicylic cleanser, apply %7 glycolic acid toner with witch hazel, thermal water+hyaluronic acid serum again, niacinamide-arbutin serum, face and eye moisturiser then i apply a aha-bha or retinol (depends on the day). some days my rosacea flares so much i dont use any actives other than hyaluronic acid, also avene cica creme really helps me with the appearence of red blood vessels on my cheeks.

Niacinamide and alpha arbutin can use together. It can reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and dark spots and support a brighter-looking complexion.

if you wash your face 5 times a day you should really use a moisturiser. not every time but you can apply it twice a day. also tretinoin works slowly so dont think like that🫰
