LAARRRRYYY 🥹🥹❤️💐 I did not want to link it in the last comment, because I did not want to be a pain, but... wow!! Thank you so much for having a look see how I managed to keep it together 😅 well, almost! Deep breaths before hitting record, and cartwheels around the patio after I stopped filming 😂😂 thank you!! So much!! They are still doing well, I have not switched them over to how I want to grow them, but soon 👍🏼 I hope life getting in the way was for all the right reasons 🙏🏼 sooo appreciate this! ❤️🌸
HI Sandie 😍💐 I am so happy!! To go to the patio and see them in their containers, wow 🙆🏼♀️🙏🏼 to answer your other comment, here, the growth is not all the way mature and the leaf has as yet to grow out of the sheath that surrounds the pseudobulb, which is pinching it at the base. When the leaf grows long enough and out of the sheath, it will flatten out. That would be in the case of the angereri in this video, in case that is what you were referring to. Another reason can be that, the growth is under nourished, it can not grow to it's full potential and is drawing from any reserves it has in the back. If that is the case, then the signs would be visible in the older pseudobulbs, and they would start to look stressed / get that shrivelled look. I hope that answers the question and if you are thinking of a specific case in your collection, let me know 👍🏼 thank you so much for watching, Sandie! I really appreciate seeing you 😘 *cough greenhouse? 😬🫣
I figure it only fitting that this be the first video I watch now that I am back in the world of electricity and internet (yes, only three days, I'm really impressed with the restoration effort). The newbies look great and I'm glad you were able to get a replacement Aleksandra while you were in the shop, that worked out quite nicely. Now, ahem, we're going to have to talk about what constitutes a windy day. I think I've got you beat.😉
Don Miguel 🥰💐 hola jefe!! 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼 good to see you!! I am so happy that they got you up and running again. They have a massive challenge on their hands, but what I saw... the response has been epic and electric engineering trucks were lined up on highways ready to get the go ahead to move in. It was impressive to watch, to say the least... and now you are here already 🙏🏼 YAY!! I know that you will have a lot of things to deal with from here on in, ... I am so horrified by the devastation 🙆🏼♀️😥 thank you so so much for this box of goodies! I have not heard from Larry, so I hope that he is ok 🤞🏼 I wanted to leave a little surprise for you, that is why I did not send a pic of the Aleksandra 😬 and she is a big one already. Has also already bloomed and is settling in on the patio. And... yes... you take the prize when it comes to having a story to tell about windy conditions 🙌🏼 I've got nothing to add to that! NADA! I have so many questions... how was it? How did you cope? Was it to the point that you were fearing for your lives? But, I don't want to keep on taking your time... you have a lot to do and are probably being bombarded with update requests 😘 thank you! so much! for giving me a second chance with angereri and Aleksandra... and, I do have something milleri that should be just fine 🤞🏼❤️🌸
@@NinjaOrchids it was no big deal until around noon when it moved a lot closer to shore and the power went out. I don't really have to fear for my life here, the house can withstand a Cat 4 easily and the house flooding isn't very likely. The rough part was that it was battering us for so long, getting the dogs out to go potty was dicey. I put down pee pads and they both looked at it and looked at me like "uh, what the f are we supposed to do with that". But they did really well given the circumstances. Luckily there was no thunder or tornadoes, just a lot of wind and rain. Although, I'll admit, when the worst was going down and the rain was sideways and there were white caps on the lake, I was beginning to question my choices in life.
I quote what your dogs 'said / thought' ... if I had seen white caps on a lake and along the lines of 'what the f!?! Surf's up on the lake?!' wow! I just shake my head in complete disbelief! This reminds me of the 2004 earthquake and tsunami off Banda Acha! It was wiped out...ok, there are some buildings left standing in Fort Myers, but they can be demolished! The surf was up to the canopy of palm trees, sloshing against web cams that were high on poles. Insanity! hell on earth ... I just can't comprehend it, even though I can see it. My brain just doesn't compute the information 🥲
Fabulous Nina, congrats on the new chids. It was very kind of Michael and Larry and fabulous to see you so HAPPY and excited. Thank you Michael and Larry for sending some genuine orchid glee to Nina and Thank You Nina for sharing. It's really great to hear the happiness and excitement in your voice. I am so looking forward to the updates on these. Have a wonderful and happy day.
🌸🥷🏼Julie San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 I have to tell you that I was speechless when the offer came through, then I hesitated before ordering, because... me and replacements, I feel that I should not keep trying because I do not want to fail again AND on top of that, now they are gifts 🫣 but, it is so nice to go and check on them in the am 🥹 thank you so much for taking time out of your Friday evening to watch and join me for this extra special unboxing 🌸🥷🏼🙏🏼❤️ Wishing you a beautiful Saturday, lovely lady 🌸
HI Lyn 🥰💐 shredded newspaper is the best! Easy to recycle ... I had an unboxing once, also on a windy day and the packing peanuts were loose in the box, the orchids were safe, but my patio looked like a confetti balloon had exploded above it 😆 They were everywhere! So, I spent a couple of hours to pick them all up, and then with BBQ tongs attacked all the ones that had blown into the hedge. But, I got them all 💪🏼 so yes... shredded newsprint, all day every day 👍🏼 thank you, Lyn for taking the time to watch! Have yourself a wonderful evening ❤️🌸
Hi Ingrid 😍💐 thank YOU! So much! For watching! I appreciate you, lovely lady 🥰 hope your day is winding up and that you had a good one. Wishing you a fabulous evening ❤️🌸

Woohoo, Newbies 🎉🥳🎉 🤸🍻 Enjoying a cup of tea, ☕ and Nina 😁 🎊 Been helping friends in Florida with getting their koi🐟 ponds pumps up and running again. I hope I was able to clarify what Thier issues were, and they are working fine!! 🌴 There are so many types of units out there, but I know Connie wants to eventually switch her pond and system over to the Aquascape Lifestyle type of ponds with bio filters or bog filters, and recycling rain water so she can use it on her orchids. 👍🏻 Needless to say, "Sylvester" has almost left the orchid case!! After 2 tries, no luck...🤨 Love your new chiddos!! ❤️ And yes you don't want Fried Chids!! 😅 Unboxing in the 🌞. Now you have a reason to have a very FINEday...in the meantime, I'll be waiting for my Drs. office to call for my telemed appt...... Have a Really Sweet One Nina..😋
HI Robert 😍💐 you have been busy getting fishies happy again... I cannot imagine how scared the owners are to make sure that they don't loose them 🥹 its a huge mess! I feel it looks like Banda Acha did back in 2004... complete destruction... I am horrified! I just cannot begin to imagine being affected by a disaster like that. I think that is when my heart would just say 'enough! I'm out!' I am sorry to hear about Sylvester... he was given his best chance and sometimes things are not meant to be, that is why I dithered with placing this order. Loosing orchids that have a special meaning is hard enough, loosing replacements that are a gift 🫣 its game on! I hope that I can do this trust in me justice! Thank you so very much for watching the video, even though... fish come first! Maybe I should call them for what they are...Koi, seeing as they are not a standard fish 😬 really appreciate you watching, thank you, Wingman! And... I hope the Doc called so that you have that box ticked as well. It is Friday after all, normally people wind down on a Friday 😅 and I hope that your back is back 👍🏼❤️🌸
How wonderful for you Nina. I adore your joyous mood and I’m so glad to see you in the giddying joy that comes with a new plant box. One of the things I do when I send out plants, is that I add a “this way up” and I have a new Rare Roots of Joy sticker with “open here”. This arose from my own experience of opening the wrong end - which happens more than 50% of the time, I’m sure of it!!! So when it came time to create my packing & posting procedures, I knew that - as a customer - I want it to be really easy. Glad it’s not just me opening the wrong end 😂 Have a wonderful day and enjoy your new babies!! And good on those who helped make them happen, if they read this 👍🏼👍🏼
🌸🥷🏼Sharon San 🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 good evening, IF I am on time, or good morning, in case I missed it 😬 I was really sad that I could not get angereri OG to pull through. I was so convinced that I would get it to come around when I pulled it out of the box back in 2021, even though it was in the worst shape that I had ever received a rupicolous laelia from that nursery. The fact that it had large structures... I just felt that it may be ugly for several years, but it would pull through. I am hoping that with this one, I will fare better and that it was not me doing wrong by the OG 🤞🏼 you have your shipping system nicely organized and the receivers of your plants are going to be super happy. I love it! I normally open at the wrong end, I don't even stand a 50/50 chance... normally the wrong end would be 90% of the time 😆 they are outside already glamcamping because it is mild and they might as well get used to the temps as they cool down, with the exception of the Vandoglossum... if night temps drop below 15ºC, that one will come inside. So grateful, I cannot tell you 🥹🥹 thank you so much for watching, Sharon! I appreciate you being here and joining me on this one again 😘 have a wonderful Saturday🌸🥷🏼 ❤️💐
Hi Nina, orchid growers love orchid haul. And you are no exception. Happy time for me too. Three rare matured cattleyas will arrive the next day for me too.
Hi Jose 🤩💐 wooohooo!!! Paarddday in your garden with your newcomers! That is such awesome news, Jose 🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🙌🏼🥳 yay!! That put a smile on my face 🤗 thank you so much for watching... your Saturday is already set to be fabulous 👍🏼👍🏼🌸
Hey Nina great haul. Michael will have to play catch up with videos. His electric is out and internet is not great. I have heard from him a couple times yesterday. Said the storm passed but now maybe 3 weeks before electric is back on. Said his orchid tree was torn apart! He said what orchids maybe left will be burnt by the sun cause it ripped all the leaves off the tree. I told him those things are replaceable! Glad him and his dad and the pups are all ok.
Hi Paula 😍💐 I got an email from him which was short and sweet, but such a relief... Goodness me, it must be horrendous to be cleaning up and it was horrendous watching the live feed for the hours that I was awake. And now the aftermath... I cannot even begin to imagine how it must feel to see a tree destroyed. It is true that everything that is replaceable can be replaced, however there is still this feeling of loss... precious things, orchids especially that were nurtured for years etc etc. Everybody near and dear having come through this safe and sound including the pups, is such a major relief, I just cannot help myself, when I think it would be me and see my collection decimated to a degree. My focus may be on different things, but yeah... I am so sad for everyone who has now got to deal with the years ahead to rebuild. It reminds me of the scene from Banda Acha after the 2004 earthquake and following Tsunami. Bring me to tears 😥 then again, I am in a very vulnerable phase atm, so... ignore my emotions 😪🫣 thank you so very much for filling me in, I really appreciate it and thank you for watching. Michael knew the video was going to air today... three weeks?? THREE? wow 😪 hope you are having a great day already, Paula ❤️🌸
Hi Andrea 😍💐 thank YOU for watching, lovely lady! Please remember to provide me with more detail about the orchid you need support with 👍🏼 have a beautiful day ❤️🌸
Before I do anything I’ve just gonna see how it goes the roots are fine nice and green so I’m just gonna let it be for now and see how it goes if I have problems I will let you know thank you very much for asking
I am agog with excitement as if I was unboxing for myself . I am glad that your friends were so generous not just the monetary contribution but the fact that they were so thoughtful. Rejoice indeed.
HI Vene 😍💐 I cannot tell you how long it took me to actually pull the trigger on this order, because I normally shy away from replacing orchids. Unless I am 100% sure that I know what went wrong with an orchid I lost, I am not the kind of person to replace. It's too much ... I have misjudged my competency many many times, so I put a stop to trying again, unless I knew, or thought to know, exactly what went wrong with the other ones. I am pretty certain here.... so I was more than grateful and happy to eventually place the order. I am so excited! I had to find a way to get through filming this without being totally gaga!! 🤣🤣 really appreciate you embracing the excitement, thank you so much, Vene! And thank you for watching 🤗 have yourself a fabulous Friday 🌸
HI Shirley 🥰💐 wow.... I am telling you... well, what can I tell you, except that I can't really say much except WOW! And that I was super touched by this gesture 🥹 thank you so much for watching. Have yourself a beautiful day ❤️🌸
Congratulations on your new arrivals, they all look wonderful and healthy. I was feeling your excitement all the way through this video. I can’t refrain myself from opening them as soon as they arrive 😂 and even before I’m constantly checking the online tracking number once my order has been packed and is on its way….and the anxiety of for whatever reason it’s held up at the warehouse.
HI 😍💐 I have to tell you that the 'wait until the package content matches room temperature' is a hard one to do for me as well. It was not so difficult this time around, because I was so busy! That helped a lot 😆 I don't do the tracking check anymore... it drives me nuts and makes things worse for me 😂 really appreciate you watching, thank you so very much 🙏🏼 wishing you a fabulous weekend ❤️🌸
I’ve failed one aspect of receiving new plants, no “welcome cocktail”. So that’s the first thing that is on my “to do list” when or should I say if I order online again. I’ve lost so many orchids & houseplants that it will be a while before I can pluck up the courage to get anything new. You are indeed lucky to have such good friends who give you great gifts that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Hi Renate 😍💐 I am with you on the ordering online aspect! Having been burned soooo many times, it is almost stressful to place an order, so, I fully understand 👍🏼 it took me weeks to place this order just because I was not sure if I wanted to go 'through that again'. And, now that they are gifts, the pressure is magnified 🫣 it was such a lovely gesture! Especially during a time where there was nothing untoward (except being ugly) with the angereri! Michael saw through my positive thinking facade with that one 😬 thank you so much for watching, Renate!! Have a fabulous Saturday ❤️🌸
🦒😃🙌💖🤸♀ Woohoo !!!! New 'chids !!! excitment excitment !!! OH I can't wait that long but "do what I say, not what I do" right? 🤣Each box opens in a different way... What a fantastic trio!!! They sure deserve the catwheels around the patio and the hanging down from the balcony. I would love to see it heheheheh. Enjoy your beauties, lovely neighbor, have a wonderful friday 💖😍🥰😘
FFF 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 good afternoon, meine liebe Freundin! I cannot tell you how happy I am that I have another shot at angereri. I was so certain that it would survive when I got it in such bad shape in 2021. Despite it being mangled etc, I was so sure it was going to be ok. Ugly, at first, but ok in the long run. And to think the orchid that was the reason for that order was the one to not make it, liliputana was a shocker as well, but I knew it was risky, with the little structures etc. Anyhoo!! I get a second chance and with the Vandoglossum as well 🥹 I used to hang upside down in doorways to relieve my back... back in the day... now I don't dare 🤣🤣 they are glamcamping in the tupper containers already, seeing as it isn't that hot. And yesterday we got 20 minutes of rain... I ran outside with my buckets, thinking it may rain all night, but all I got was 1cm 👎🏼👎🏼 oh well. I am hoping that I get someone to come to give me a quote on another installation that may just do the job and maybe for cheaper as well when it comes to the right filters 🤞🏼 thank you so much for watching, amiga mia! I hope that you are having a beautiful day already 😘❤️🌸
🌸🥷🏼Trish San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 hellluuuuurrrrr Orchideen Freundin!! I am 🫣 and then babble babble babble and then 🫣 again 😆 so happy to have a second chance at the angereri and the vandoglossum! Now, I hope that my diagnosis for what went wrong with the 2 replacements, is correct and that I will NOT make them again with those 2. Because, usually I don't do this replacement thing unless I am 100% sure! And I better be sure... or else I am going to be doubly cross! 🤞🏼 hope you are already enjoying a lovely, peaceful Friday 🌸🥷🏼 thank you so very much for everything 😘 ❤️🌸
Sylvia, hi 😍💐 wow! Busy time for you and yet, you took a KitKat moment to watch one of my videos, thank you so much! I hope that everything is going according to plan and falling into place as stress free as at all possible. The hauls in your future... may they keep the motivation going until the shopping can begin 🥰 ❤️🌸
Hi Ila 😍💐 it was / is amazing! I am so happy to have been given a second chance! I hear that Michael is fine, very windswept, but they pulled through, pups and all. I am not exactly sure of the extent of damage to property, with the exception of the fact that his orchid tree suffered damage and was defoliated by the wind. I am hoping that he is holding up ok 🤞🏼 it must be such a scary time! I can't find the right words 😪 thank you so much for watching, Ila! Wishing you a beautiful Friday 🌸
Great timing! I’m expecting my first psychopsis and Catasetum in the next week or two. I’m happy you got some replacements! Try try again! Receiving orchids for the first time is always an exciting experience, we need to cherish that joy! Ian is now no longer a major threat for us in Florida. The damage was not bad in my area and we were lucky to maintain power throughout the whole storm. We were also lucky to not have storm surge or major flooding. All our pets are safe and sound. My hanging Vandas decided to hangout a while longer, there was a couple minor scratches and bruises but overall all my plants made it through! 🎉🤸🏼 My Vanbrella™️ survived the ultimate stress test and stood its ground! Removing the shade cloth was enough to keep the whole stand from catching too much wind! For now I can rest easy! Thank you so much for thinking about us over here! When things get heavy it’s comforting know I have family and friends here for me! 🌸💖
&yLand 😍💐hi! I am happy to hear that you Vanbrella stood the toughest of tests... you can now rest assured that your concept is fit for purpose! Really appreciate you taking the time to 'check' in again, thank you so very much 🙏🏼 it means a lot! 😘 anticipating new orchids is almost as fabulous a feeling as receiving them, so.... enjoy it for as long as it lasts, and I hope there won't be any excessive delays in getting them to you 🤞🏼 have a wonderful Friday, &yLand! Thank you for watching ❤️🌸
Great fun. Don't know right or wrong but I let them sit overnight not under direct light znd no water. The following day they get thd welcoming cocktail. Thanks forr sharing the fun. Gots to check on thd steaks. Later
🌸🥷🏼Bob San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 😘 such a treat to have 2 comments from you to start off my week 🙏🏼🥰 definitely nothing wrong with what you are doing! Unless of course a pot is so bone dry that you can see the orchid is having a tough time, but I am sure you would take care of that situation straight away 😃 thank you so much for watching 🌸🥷🏼 Cariño San! I hope the digesting was as much a treat as the steaks were 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Lovely feeling to get new babyyys. I love your energy ❤ Can I kindly ask if you can explain how you are making or finding the labels please 🙏 I never see anywhere for sale or I couldn’t figure it out how to make waterproof tags🤔
Hi Pixie 😍💐 welcome!! Have you changed your name, or is it true that I have not seen you here in the comments before? If this is your first time commenting, thank you very much for being here and welcome, I appreciate that you are here 🤗 if you have been here before... guess what... I appreciate that you are still here 😆 I use a label maker, from DYMO MobileLabeler which has an app on my phone, and then prints on whatever color tape that I put into it. The tags I buy on amazon... standard plastic durable tags. And, the sticky tape on the labels lasts for as long as I want them to be on that tag, even though they are so easy to peel off. It is quite pricey, but back in the day I was not struggling financially and I do not regret that I paid the money. It is clean, and super easy to use. I have a video about it from waaaaayyyy back at the beginning of my channel ua-cam.com/video/E5jqcyJCPAo/v-deo.html if you want to check out the first attempts of me making videos and making mistakes. But, in that video I have it and show how I use it. Also, the app that is my orchid database, is for iPhone only... just in case you were to watch the video. I spoke with the developer when the video came out, and he insists that any Android download link that would be on the internet featuring his app, is spam! Just a heads up in case that would be of interest to you as well. Do not click the Android version. 🙏🏼 Thank you, once again, not only for watching, but also for being here.... and welcome! Have a fabulous Friday 🤗🌸
Hi Nina , you got yourself three beautiful and healthy cute seedlings! Hope they do well for you. How long do you keep them in the cocktail before repotting? Are you planning to repot in leca?
Hi Mary 😍💐 their soak lasts for 1 hour when they are small like this. And I will wait for new roots, or root tips before repotting them into the classic rupicolous laelia semi hydro set up, with lava rock and maybe seramis, depending on the size of the pot I choose. I am so happy to have that angereri!! That orchid was the reason I even placed an order from Floralia and I was so confident that it would make it, so it was a shock when I lost it. Really appreciate you watching, Mary! I hope you are doing well 😘🌸
Nice orchids you got there! Lucky you. Arkerne orchids is a very nice nursery with healthy plants. If you like to watch the place, i can send you a link to the video i made 😊
Hi 😍💐 its good to see you again! I watched that video and just wanted to apply for a job there 😅 as well as your most recent video where you visited another orchid nursery. That would be a dream location for me to be employed. Unfortunately we don't have anything like that in my area. It is paradise in my opinion! Thank you so much for watching, Anne (sp?) hope your day is beautiful 🥰🌸
HI Christiane 😍💐 oh, they don't need to soak for a long time. 10 minutes maximum, and even less if the orchid has fine roots. Its a great blitz targeted application that only needs to be absorbed by the roots and not the media 😊 once you see the roots green up, you can add another couple of minutes and done 👍🏼 thank you so much for watching, lovely lady!! I hope that you are already having a beautiful day 🫶🏼❤️🌸

I am sorry to hear about Sylvester... he was given his best chance and sometimes things are not meant to be, that is why I dithered with placing this order.
Glad it’s not just me opening the wrong end 😂
Have a wonderful day and enjoy your new babies!!
Very excited for you thank you for unboxing with us some beautiful plant you have there
Hi Andrea 😍💐 thank YOU for watching, lovely lady!
You are very welcome! Always here in case I can help out 🥰
I am agog with excitement as if I was unboxing for myself .
Why do new growths not open up the grow but the leaf part of the new growth doesn't open up?
Hi Nina, I’m happy for you. Enjoy your replacements. They are on the road to great care. 🥰🤗👏❤️
Girl I felt your excitement! I was just as excited as you in this unboxing. So excited for you Nina❤ What a wonderful gift 🎁
I'm in the process of moving currently but I definitely can't wait to buy a hauls worth of orchids as you have.
How wonderful. Hoping Michael is okay. He lives near where Hurricane Ian hit.
Thank you so much for all of your advice and kind thoughts! Your support has been a godsend on my orchid journey! 💖🌸
I love your energy ❤
Can I kindly ask if you can explain how you are making or finding the labels please 🙏
I never see anywhere for sale or I couldn’t figure it out how to make waterproof tags🤔
Yea, that is nice to visit such places. Thankfully i have a husband, that find it nice too😊
THAT is a bonus 👍🏼👍🏼
Going to do this! Have purchased the Calmag and Kelp. How long do they soak in the cocktail?
HI Christiane 😍💐 oh, they don't need to soak for a long time. 10 minutes maximum, and even less if the orchid has fine roots. Its a great blitz targeted application that only needs to be absorbed by the roots and not the media 😊 once you see the roots green up, you can add another couple of minutes and done 👍🏼 thank you so much for watching, lovely lady!! I hope that you are already having a beautiful day 🫶🏼❤️🌸
@@NinjaOrchids Oh, good, that make sense!
🫶🏼😊
