BUT, our orchids do NOT know our seasons, they have their own seasons, and during a time of year for us that can be a little dismal, orchid blooms really bring the magic into the house, with their wonderful ...

Ready for a new kids cartoon animation about nin Ja orchids ❤🎵🎵🎵🌷🌷
HI 😍💐 oh boy!! Wouldn't that be fun? Learning animation software and combining something like that with a good Ninja Orchids tune? 😆 I love it, but I do not see that coming in the near future 😅 hope you are doing well! Thank you so much for watching and your comment 🫶🏼❤️🌸
I got this one and the growers said it is fragrant 🤨. I only like fragrant cattleya
Hi! 😍💐 it is so good to see you again! I hope you are doing well 🫶🏼 oh, I am going to keep my fingers crossed for you that you have exactly the same one as the grower who told you that has. I have had mine since 2018 and not once, in all the years of blooming did I pick up on a fragrance, even now as it is blooming on 2 spikes at the same time. I really hope that you will not be disappointed and that I have a fragrance dud, which can happen. When your's blooms, would you please let me know if your's is fragrant, after all? It doesn't have to be under this video, but now I am really curious. 😬 and I will keep my fingers crossed that your's will be 🤞🏼 thank you so much for watching this video! I appreciate your time and wish you a wonderful day 🫶🏼❤️🌸
I just noticed that you have 10 K subscribers!
😍Hi Linda 💐 ....🥹...🙌🏼...🥳 thank you so much for being a huge part of reaching this milestone! 🙏🏼 So appreciate every single minute of you watching my videos, and every single character you have typed into the comments over the years. 🙌🏼 wishing you the most beautiful of days and hope that things are not too stressful leading up to Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving Eve 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Hi Nina, you are most certainly the expert. I'm probably feeding incorrectly, large vs. small roots. I do lighten up on the fertilizer during winter. I'll supplement with cal/mag on flush days. Once I water /feed an orchid I immediately spray the aireal roots alot less root tip burn. Thank you Orchid Master.❤🎉😮😅😊❤
🌸🥷🏼 Bob San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 your humidity can balance out any higher concentration. Your roots are testament to what your providing for your orchids, is working really well 🙌🏼 if humidity is low, then the damage would be visible as burn on velamen, or root tip burn. I have not seen that on the images you have sent me over the years, sooooo 🥳👍🏼 much love to you for dusting off this video from the depths of the library. I hope it didn't make you sneeze 😅 wishing you the most stressfree thanksgiving Eve, 🌸🥷🏼 Corazon San! 🫶🏼❤️🌸
WOW! Just WOW!!! This is the best ever introduction to your channel. It conveys how much information you offer while having fun doing it. What a fun use of AI to make the song!
HI Linda 😍💐 woohooo!! I am so happy to read your feedback and thank you so much for letting me know that you liked the end result, thank you so much 🙏🏼 it sure to quite some time to create, maybe one of the longest videos, time wise, that I have ever worked on. Leaving me to feel like the hunchback of Notre Dame 😆 Let's hope that everyone who comes to the channel home page and hears it for the first time, as the welcome video, will feel the same way as you do and subscribe 🤞🏼🫣 I hope you are having a wonderful day, lovely lady! Thank you for all your support, all these years! 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Great topic and very interesting. Best explanation anywhere Nina. I've spent some time studying EC and here's what I concluded. I could have repotted 25 orchids in the time studying the use of EC for growing orchids. Drilling down to the exact number of EC in practice is nearly impossible. It's PPMs for me. If I target 175ppm for my solution and end up at 160 or 190, no worries. My orchids won't know the diff and their perfectly happy. Thank you for clearing up this EC hot mess. You are the Orchid Master. Happy Thanksgiving. ❤🎉😅😊
🌸🥷🏼 Bob San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 hi!! Thank you for the feedback and for watching! It can be really weird to hear someone reference microsiemens when they speak of concentration, my brain has to assimilate what their concentration is 😅 thankfully, though, 95% of the growers I know, use ppm and it is possible that some once were on the EC measure and have switched because ppm really is so much more easy. We would need some higher tech meters, more sensitive ones to measure EC properly... which, as you quite rightly say, is not necessary for our orchids and the quantities we are talking about / dosing / applying. So kind of you to sit through a video like this.... goes to show your caliber as an orchid grower to have interest in something like this 🫶🏼 thank YOU so much 🌸🥷🏼Cariño San!! I hope you are having a great day 🫶🏼❤️🌸
@NinjaOrchids Thank You Nina, you're the Best! Much ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

😍Hi!! 💐 thank you so much for your time, for watching and your kind feedback! I appreciate you 🙏🏼 wishing you the most beautiful of days 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Thank you
Hi Joey 😍💐 welcome! I have not seen you here before, so first of all, a warm warm welcome and secondly, thank YOU so much for watching and your comment. I hope that you are having a great day in the matrix 😉 (love that, by the way) and look forward to seeing you more often 🫶🏼❤️🌸
I saw the photo of "gold coast" and had to stop the video and appreciate those gorgeous blooms with their striking colour. This is still my favourite orchid and I'm hoping one day to find a mature plant somewhere. Thank you for showing us what you've had in bloom recently, enjoyed them all.
HI Renate 😍💐 I so appreciate you watching and leaving a comment! I wish I could read that you had found her, that you now also have her in your collection. All I can say is, keep looking. She is definitely worth it. All my orchids that can handle my low temps and low lights during the winter, are worth it, but this one, being a bifoliate, while she struggles with the low temperatures etc, has been better than the reputation that bifoliates come with. 🙏🏼 Thank YOU so much, lovely lady, for watching! I hope that your Monday was fabYOUlous and wish you a relaxing evening 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Oh my, that was fantastic! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ intro! Made me laugh and want to leap with energy. Your videos are always packed with so many useful info, tools, tips and tricks for successful growing and BLOOMS! Loved the long pause on 'Dinard Blue Heaven'. 😍🫠🥰 After 3 years of hunting, I still have not been able to find one here in Canada. I do hope to see blooms soon on yours. 🤞😍 Have a great day Nina! 😘🤗🙏
Hi Robi 😍💐 you like?? you like!!! 🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥳 thank you so much for letting me know and expressing your reaction 🙌🏼 I appreciate the feedback so much! It was a bit of a risky endeavor, a little out of the norm.... well, a LOT out of the norm, but I thoroughly enjoyed getting lost in the weeds creating this 😬😅 the Dinard!! Oh my... if maxima didn't have that major space in my heart, the Dinard is just one of the most magical orchids I own and I am so grateful that it is still in the collection. LOVE HER! I am still keeping my fingers crossed that you do find her. It took me 4 years to find the first wishlist orchid I had, so... maybe 2025 is the year 🤞🏼 the first 2 buds are doing well. Vamos a ver if she has it in her to push the other buds in that sheath. I doubt it, but ... she is doing well and that is really all I am asking for during these challenging months. Know that, I so appreciate you! Know that I am still wanting to schedule a stream with you but am waiting to be able to physically cope staying upright for that time of night, so as to make it a time that is acceptable for you 🫶🏼 I have not forgotten, but my body hasn't got the memo yet 🙄 have yourself a great start to the new week, Robi! Thank you for everything you have done here, for me, and above all, thank you for your friendship 🙏🏼❤️🌸
Hi Nina….that was just great! 🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️
😍Hi BeBe 💐 thank you, so much, lovely lady, for your feedback 🙏🏼 this was part of my therapy over the past weeks. It took quite some fiddling and focus, which took my mind into better directions 😅 I appreciate you so much for reasons you know 😘 wishing you a wonderful start to the thanksgiving week, and I hope that, if you are travelling or have loved ones travelling, that you and everyone stays safe. Should we not speak before that, have yourself a wonderful Thanksgiving, BeBe!! 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Was AI used to make the song? 🤔 It kind of reminded me of a 90's Saturday morning cartoon intro song. 😜🤘
HI Joe 😍💐 I did use AI to compose the song, yes. It took quite some fiddling to get the lyrics just so... it was a long, arduous, creative learning process. It was also much needed because I could pull my mind away from what it wanted to do.... stare into space 😅 to learning new things, working on getting the footage together with the tune... it was a massive undertaking, but I hope that you liked the result. 😅 I can see why you compare it to a 90s cartoon intro song. Now that you mention it... yes!! Thank you so much for watching, Joe! Thank you for your support all these years 🫶🏼 have yourself a great start to the thanksgiving week and I hope that you have a great thanksgiving, should I not speak to you before that ❤️🌸
Off the charts, Nina!! Love, love, love it!!😃😍🥰
Wanda, hi 😍💐 woohoo!!! Thank you!! 🙌🏼🥳 I am glad you like 😬😅 know that I appreciate your feedback... it took a monumental time to learn software and write the lyrics. Many yoyo moments to change the lines, find better words that rhyme and fit our channel as well as everyone that has watched and hopefully will find the channel to watch the videos 🤞🏼 thank you, lovely lady, for your kindness and support over the years 🙏🏼 wishing you a wonderful thanksgiving week and should we not chat before .... Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones 🫶🏼❤️🌸
How the heck did you make this happen?! /Bow /Bow Amazingly fricken cool
Hi Laura 😍💐 uhhhmmmm 😅 how much time have you got? 😂 days? a week? 🤣 seriously... it was a bit of personal therapy from what has happened these past 5 weeks. I needed something to take my mind off the trauma we have experienced here, so why not learn software, why not get into the weeds of writing lyrics, why not try and find the right words to rhyme to reflect the channel and everyone that has been here, hopefully will find the channel in the future etc etc. It was a mind fart that expanded and kept me super busy.... bit by bit, it came together and well... here you are with a reaction better than I could have hoped for 🥳🙌🏼 thank you so much for letting me know what you think! And, thank you so much for the support all the time 🙏🏼 I so appreciate you 😘 I hope that you are having a great start to the thanksgiving week already, by the time you read this, and if we are not in touch before thanksgiving... have a happy one! If you are travelling, please stay safe 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Your videos provide really helpful information for new and existing orchid hobbyists. I really recommend them. I learned so much from you, Nina! Thank you so much for always being willing to share advice ❤❤🫶
Denise, hi 😍💐 thank you!! You wonderful lady, amazing friend and incredible supporter, encourager of my person, and the orchids AND the channel! I cannot thank you enough for your support, so, I hope a single thank you will suffice. Engage reading between the lines, skills 🥹🙏🏼 really appreciate you taking a moment to watch / listen 🫶🏼❤️🌸

This was a surprise😅! Love it and your channel!!
Hi Liz 😍💐 I am so glad that you decided to click on this video so that you could get the surprise 😅 thank you for your feedback, I appreciate you for letting me know and well, the days and days of working on this brought me to my wits' end, 🫣but your feedback and kind comment about my channel in general, made the challenges of this video so worthwhile! 🥳Thank you so much for all the support! Wishing you a cozy evening 🫶🏼❤️🌸
grüß dich NinJa 💃 weißt du noch , daß auf bayrisch eines der größten Komplimente ist , wenn man von einer Frau sagt : des is a Nasche ! 😍Meine Mona 💐 servus schöne Frau!! 🙏🏼 yes, I remember that! My cousin used to say it a lot when we were hanging out at the bike park 😂 meanwhile, he was not referring to me, but the girls he was checking out 😂 so, while I was not aware that it meant all the adjectives you listed, thank you so much for enlightening me!! You expanded my horizon, yet again and conjured up a great memory 🙏🏼 for that I thank you too, as well as your kindness and your encouraging comments, supportive friendship... all the things 🙏🏼 I appreciate you and thank you for the feedback 🫶🏼 hope you are having a cozy evening ❤️🌸
Fantastic Nina. 🎊👏🎶🥰💐❤️.
Hi Shirley 😍💐 woohoo!! 😅🥳🙌🏼 thank YOU so much for your feedback and for still being here all these years, through ups and downs and ups and downs and through baffled, bothered, frustrated, despondent, back to up 🤣 you are so appreciated!! I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday, staying warm 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Hi Nina, I just discovered your channel. I just watched your video from a few years ago about novelty phalaenopsis vs complex hybrid phalaneopsis. I had exactly the same problems with complex phalaenopsis as you discussed in your video. Getting to the point, the problem with complex phalaenopsis is their excessive flowering, which leads to exhaustion of the orchid, which does not have time to regenerate before the next flowering and begins to wither. Novelty phalaenopsis helped me solve this problem, because when they bloom they only have a few flowers on the spike, so the orchid does not lose energy. They simply have a self-preservation mechanism, which complex phalaenopsis do not have because they have been genetically modified to produce the largest possible number of flowers on the spike. Therefore, when my complex phalaenopsis start to bloom, I allow them to have a maximum of 5 or 6 flowers on the spike. I cut off the end of the spike so that the orchid does not produce more flowers on it. And it works. Greetings from Poland - Michael.
Michal, hi 😍💐 welcome! Thank you so much for your comment but first of all, welcome!! I appreciate you for being here, for your first comment on the channel, for giving me the opportunity to welcome you 🫶🏼 thank you for watching this video and for watching the video you referenced 🫶🏼and... your comment is amazing! You are so right! This is a consideration that I made a note of a year or 2 after that phal v phal video aired, because I was quick to cut off my spikes very early into their long time blooming phase. I did not let my phals bloom out in their own time, instead, after 6 weeks of enjoying the blooms, I cut the spikes because I wanted the orchids to start their vegetative growth sooner, seeing as there is only so much time in my 'nature dependancy' on growing my orchids, for them to grow new structures / roots before they start to spike again ( if they do because my light levels are too low) anyway, long story short, you are so right! I can concur with everything you wrote! Fantastic!! Thank you so much for adding that here 🫶🏼 woohoo!! 😃 this is great 😅 so good to have you here, I hope you stay 😅 and I hope you had a great weekend, staying warm in Poland! Thank you, again for watching and welcome ❤️🌸
@@NinjaOrchids Nina, thank you for such a nice welcome😀. I will definitely stay here for a long time, because I really like channels like yours, run by people who are not afraid to experiment with orchids. Thanks to this, we can dispel many myths about these amazing plants. Due to the rather harsh climate in Poland, I can only grow "iron" species such as phalaenopsis, cattleya and paphiopedilum (so-called "bulldog hybrids" paphs.) and cymbidiums. I like the "ordinary" phalaenopsis from the supermarkets the most, precisely because they bloom in winter. When it's snowy and frosty outside in Poland, I have a small garden at home with blooming orchids😍. Happy growing to us all😀.

Very nice
😍HI! 💐 thank you! So much!! I appreciate your feedback 🫶🏼 hope your Sunday was beautiful ❤️🌸
Hey, as always , your videos never disappoint ❤😊 love all the stunning blooms. It's always exciting waiting for these buds to open 🎉🎉🎉but yes, sometimes it is heartbreak when they blast. 2 of my seabreeze buds blasted...holding on to the 1 that's left. Fingers crossed, I get to see it bloom for the 1st time. Thank you for sharing your stunning collection ❤️.
😍HI! 💐 thank you so much for your kind and encouraging feedback! And for watching 🫶🏼 I appreciate the support so much! The heartbreak is so true, because you can see what you 'could have seen' as opposed to settling with what you get, so, I am sorry for the bud blast on your orchid. I will keep my fingers crossed that you will get to enjoy at least ONE bloom and relish in the fact that your orchid has the potential to bloom out completely, the next time around 🙏🏼🤞🏼 first time bloomers can really keep us glued to the buds because we just want to WILL them to open by staring at them 😅 I would love to know if the bloom opens and hear your thoughts, excitement. I will be looking forward to that video 😃 I hope you are having a great day, to round off a great weekend, lovely lady 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Gorgeous blooms arousing the two senses Nina.
🌸🥷🏼 Director Jose San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 my dear dear amigo!! These certainly were nice to have around when things were less than ideal, for sure! I hope that you are doing well 🫶🏼 that you are able to have a restful and fun day 🫶🏼 and I would kindly ask you to please say hello to your Princesses for me 🫶🏼🥰 thank you so much for watching, Gran Amigo Mio!! Eres muy especial 🫶🏼❤️🌸
❤ good job today, be proud of yourself. I am 🎉
😍HI BeBe 💐 *cough, thank you!! 🥹🫣 thank you so much for being the catalyst. Without you, it would not have happened and I would have tried to get back to my videos, as if 'nothing had happened'. For what it is worth, and maybe it is a result of what you told me, I slept well last night 😆 I so appreciate you, lovely lady! At first I thought...oh boy! And now, I am still thinking 'oh boy!'. Stepped out of my comfort zone because of your gentle and understanding guidance. I am truly grateful to you and for having you be such a pilar of strength and encouragement. 🙏🏼 thank you! Also, thank you for watching this video, lovely lady 🫶🏼 wishing you a wonderful day and hopefully, by the time you read this, it already is 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Is it possible to have a sterile oncidium? I have ‘Twinkle’ and ‘Pink Profusion’ in bloom but ‘Sharry Baby’ is huge but has never bloomed.
😍Hi Jo 💐 your question is definitely something that I have thought about when it comes to my holcoglossum kimballianum. It is a specimen, and according to what I do for it's care, it is clearly loving it's life, but in 6 years I have never gotten it to bloom. It grows like it should, looks like it should, has plenty of roots like it should, but no blooms! Crazy! Also, I took a branch off of that plant and gave it to a friend. She got that branch to bloom after 2 years. Soooo, if I may be so bold as to say that, sterile oncidiums are not a thing. BUT, based on what you are describing, your orchid is just living it's best life and with that, there is no 'reason' for it to bloom. It has no stressors that would force it to bloom. Stressors being that it feels threatened and needs to push blooms in the hopes of getting pollinated. These kinds of stressors could be over exposure to light, eliminating any form of fertilizer, exposing the orchid to colder temperatures than it can tolerate as well as, dividing the orchid to stress the new growths out that they need to bloom. Any repot is a stressor for an orchid, so if you do not want to divide it, then a good root ball clean up, all in, (while the orchid is actively growing new roots) will stress the orchid out, and with that possibly push spikes on the new growths. If you would like to divide it, then that will be a signal for spikes, for sure. Personally, with my holcoglossum, I just cannot bring myself to not fertilize it, so that is my own situation. I just can't do it 😅 I have done the extreme light, the extreme low temperature and nothing has worked, so I now just grow it because I love it's funkiness. Let me know if what I wrote was helpful and if any of the tips would be something you would consider implementing. AND if you have any questions, based on what I wrote, please run them by me. Thank you so much for watching 🫶🏼 I appreciate your time! Have a beautiful Sunday ❤️🌸
@ thank you for your insight. I think I am going to repot it and maybe start a new section off of it. The strange thing is that it is right beside the others and cared for like the others but the others bloom frequently.. 🤷🏻♀️ maybe we should start threatening them, to terrify them into blooming! Hahaha…
I had another word with my kimballianum this morning... its too late for her to bloom this year, but I talked to her about my expectations for 2025 😆
@@NinjaOrchids good for you!
Stopped by to say hi. I enjoyed seeing all your lovely orchids. We had a dusting of snow this week. A preview of coming attractions. I’m not looking forward to winter 🥶. Take care.🥰🤗🌸💕
Hi Shirley 😍💐 I appreciate you so much for stopping by! Thank you!! oh... winter! I could talk for hours as to how much I am not a fan of winter, but I think you already know that. I feel you, I hear you and I am with you on that. I have always wanted to be a hedgehog for that reason 😬 stay warm, lovely lady, and have yourself a wonderful Sunday 🫶🏼❤️🌸
6:01 😄 I thought the same thing when my first cattleya with buds opened. Never noticed it until I saw the blooms up close. Maybe it's to attract humans instead of insects? 😀 6:14 The spicerianum is on my wishlist due to the fact that it's moderately cool growing and the flower shape particularly the dorsal sepal.
Hi Joe 😍💐 the nose!! 😆 some have some real honkers, that is for sure! Makes me laugh! Maybe we got our noses through evolution because it worked so well for the orchids 🤔😅 conspiracy rabbit hole 😂 I love the spicerianum! That bloom cracks me up every time 😂 thank you, Joe, so much for watching! I appreciate your time and the orchids and I appreciate your support! Have yourself a fabYOUlous Sunday 🫶🏼❤️🌸
oopps! Just left a comment here, but it was meant for a different 'Jo' 😬 Not Joe 🙄🫣 hope you are having a great day already 🫶🏼❤️🌸
So I know that you weren't really a fan of mounting the Twinkle but, I have to say, the bloom display should be nice with them hanging out and distracting from the way the plant looks at the moment. As for that Epidendrum melanoprphyreum x pseudepidendrum, those blooms wouldn't be enough for me (personally) to keep it. They are just rather meh, IMO.
Don Miguel 🥰💐 hola jefe! I was definitely NOT a fan of mounting it, and resisted for as long as possible. Hence why I lost the other 2, which I now really regret 🙄 When I water this one, I always think of you telling me that they do not do well in a pot, and I thought, hold my beer.... well.... I did not figure things out fast enough to get my stubbornness to prove a point 😅 and, 100% agree with you on the Epidendrum. Meh is my first reaction. After all these years? I mean, back in the day when I bought the orchid I saw pics, and thought it would be fun to have these around. I did not expect it to be a 6 year fight, aggravation after frustration etc, to then be less than impressed by them. So, we shall see what happens moving forward. I am going to give myself time, see what she does next season. I mean, the embreii was doing well, I got her to bloom and then this past summer... sayonara, I was done. Maybe the coming season will be the same for this epidendrum. Vamos a ver. For now, its a pop of color and an internal feeling of 'eff that order! I got it to survive and bloom!' satisfaction kind of thing 😅 thank you so much for watching and for all the tips in the past. Also, .... I kinda relish the fact that we feel the same way about that epidendrum 😂 have a wonderful Sunday, my friend! I appreciate you, mucho 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Hi Ninja Orchid Lady..😅 hopefully my internet will stay up so I can watch your Live at 10 am my time. We've been getting rain and wind like crazy here the past 3 days. I need to have Mike put his boat on standby, but luckily I'm in a second-floor apartment. 😂 Love your eye candy, and I'm jelly, yes I am both jiggly like jelly🫨 and jealous🫣 of your great blooms. OMG!! I JUST SAW A SPOT OF SUN!!!! 😎 Spoke to soon, the clouds are now removing it from sight. 🤨 I hope your weekend goes smoothly! Catch you later Ninadile..🐊 🪽🪽
🦤🦅😍 Wingman! I hear you when it comes to weather conditions and hoping the internet will hold! Well, I so appreciate you taking time out of your Saturday to come hang out because your internet was stable. Thank you so so much! Oh, the day that the sun came out was super busy because the patio needed stuff out to dry, but I needed to take pics and clips of the blooms while it was somewhat sunny. As you say,.... then it went. If you were referring to your sun showing through, I know that feeling as well, and the awwwhhh feeling when it disappeared. October and mid Nov 2024.... erase, delete, try to forget 😮💨💆🏼♀️ hope you are having a wonderful weekend, that your Sunday goes well with Fluff keeping you warm, cozy and snug! Thank you for all you do 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Just ordered some Stanhopeas so I am delighted to have been able to watch your video on this type of orchid! If you have "Stan the Man" growing in your climate then I feel hopeful that I have made a good decision to try a couple of these in my southeast Florida orchid garden. I found this video extremely informative. Thank you for taking the time to give other orchid growers valuable growing videos. Take care and have a good weekend.
HI Pat 😍💐 woohooo!! Welcome to your new arrivals when they get to you! They are an amazing genus to grow. So satisfying with their aggressive approach to maturing and blooming. Structures and roots, everything about this genus is beast mode and fun! Your conditions should be perfect for Stans... mine are a challenge through Jan / Feb, the temperatures are very much on the edge of what is acceptable, for that reason the leaf damage, but your temps are milder than mine, your humidity is higher than mine. Its excellent and I hope that you get as much joy out of growing your stans as I get out mine one and only Stan the Man 🥰 thank YOU so much for being here, for choosing to spend time watching my videos and commenting. I appreciate you and the support your time provides for my orchids. So, thank YOU! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend as well, lovely lady 🫶🏼❤️🌸
@@NinjaOrchids Thank you so much for your reply. I'm so excited. The Stanhopeas are expected to arrive tomorrow. Now....may I pick your brain again? Sure do hope so......do you think that my new Stanhopeas would be happy to live in a homemade mixture of loose Australian tree fern bark and perlite? I already have some baskets. Should I wait to repot them until they have had a chance to acclimate? (They are coming from Sunset Valley Orchids in California. A well-known US orchid grower.)
woohooo!! Today is the day, Pat 🙌🏼🥳 I would wait and see what stage of growth they are in when they arrive. Tree fern is great, and you have high enough humidity so as not to be having to chase the watering needs of these thirsty orchids. IF, as they grow, you find they are getting too demanding, you can always switch things up by adding a more water retentive media to the mix you have ready for them 👍🏼 Anything with new root growth is ready to be repotted. BUT, that also depends on the size that you are getting. A seedling will not require repotting immediately, neither will a not blooming size until 2 or 3 years. For those you can wait until they have actually acclimated. So, when you get your's and are uncertain of their size, let me know and we can troubleshoot together as to what is the ideal next step 👍🏼 excited with you!! 🙌🏼
grüß dich NinJa 💃 Twiga 🦒 aaaahhhhh ....... Thank you for all the blooms 💐🌹🌺🌷🌸💮🏵️🌻🌼 my favourites are : Epi Gold Coast 💛❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛 I would call her : Fire Dance 🔥 and Good Life 💛💖💛💖💛💖
Meine Mona 😍💐 servus schöne Frau 🫶🏼 thank YOU so much for watching and for your inspired naming of the orchids in bloom in this video! Goodlife... yes, the reason I bought this orchid was because, at a very low time in my life, I had to keep reminding myself that there are memories which I need to keep in mind, that life was in actual fact good at one point. This orchid reminds me of that. 🥹 Now, please accept my apology for last night during the live stream! I was in mid flow, talking, when I saw your name come into the chat! I took a mental note to get back to you and say hello,....but never did! I scrolled back into the chat to address the chat after I thought I had finished what I wanted to say, and skipped you. I did not see your name as I was reading the comments, and for that I am truly sorry! Please forgive me. When I finished the stream, I was like 🤦🏼♀️ oh! my! goodness! Mona!! I did not say hi to Mona!! 😩 I am so so sorry! I hope you can forgive me for that! Thank you, for taking a moment out of your day to be there, I truly appreciate it and I hope I did not make you feel bad, unwelcome or in any way ignored 🙏🏼 if I did, I truly apologise for that as well!! You mean a lot to me and may omitting saying hi to you may have made you feel differently and for that I am truly sorry! Thank you, for taking time to be here, for last night and for your kindness throughout! I wish you the most beautiful of Sundays 🙏🏼🫶🏼❤️🌸
