Tolumnia are my favorite orchids. :) I've also got an order in with a US nursery for some of the same cultivars you just unpacked. Waiting for the weather to warm up enough in the Eastern US for them to ship. I'd love to see a repotting video for your Tolumnia!
This seeding process is very exiting. And I have been crazy about Tolumnias ever since I saw them appear in one of your videos ❤ I got 3 of them for my birthday last summer, one of them the Pomegranate is even flowering for me. It even has 2 flower spikes and it is an absolutely gorgeous dark burgundy with a white rim and yellow centers. It is 😍 stunning! Thank you for getting these to my attention 🎉
Yes please, tolumnia repot video! 😊 I had 2, one died and one is growing but I feel it could do better if I figureout exactlywhat she likes. I have a Jairak "Pink Brush"
Love them. It here is a Peruvian grower in Sarasota FL, just north of me. And, he sells them very inexpensively so I don’t feel too guilty indulging myself.
@@CatherineRMoore if you are thinking about Planteo la Orquidea, they are not from Peru but from Venezuela and I went to their open house Friday. Thank you very much.
Yeah, unboxing! Yea, tolumnias! Recently i lost 3 from my small collection due to planting too deep but I'll get more as soon as the temperatures will rise a bit
I don’t have any tolumnias but they are so beautiful and smalll, I might have to get some! My oncidium is finally blooming for me after many years of not blooming, thanks to your videos on their care.
Hi there! I am an amateur (and unprofessional) Australian orchid collector in Melbourne (VIC) and I absolutely looove your channel! (in fact, I wouldn’t have learned how to grow orchids without watching your videos…) Staying with the theme of the vid, I know a few orchid species and cultivars that I think you might be interested in: 1. Cymbidium gowling's gem 2. Cym. tracyanum 3. Cym. Marilyn Thomas 4. Dendrobium speciosum (Sydney rock orchid) 5. Dockrillia linguiforme (thumbnail orchid) 6. Doc. striolata (streaked rock orchid) 7. Cypripedium spp. (Cyp. parviflorum, Cyp. reginae, etc.) 8. Earina autumnalis (New Zealand Easter orchid) I think you would really like these orchids (that is, if they’re available in the European Union…might not be…), as many of them (like Den. speciosum) are pretty well suited to a hot, dry climate and should do fine in your area.
When you said Germany, I was screaming "Yes! Come to Berlin" on the inside but we don't have any orchid nurseries here at all. Just a few bigger garden centers where orchids can be found though the variety most consists of Phalaenopsis, Oncidium types, Cymbidiums and sometimes Cattleyas and Vandas. I have one Tolumnia that I received from Schwerter a few months ago and so far it's still hanging on but just barely.
@BiBiche Knauf they arrived Thursday afternoon. They are smaller sized cattleya. One has bloomed, and has buds in a shief. Only time will tell if it will bloom vs bud blast. Yes mine came from KrullSmith.
An now I'm on the hunt to have at least one Tolumnia, they are kinda hard to find arround here. Love to see more unboxings videos, thanks for all the content Danny!
Enjoy all your videos. The tolumnia bug bit hard after seeing the tolumnia video. They're so adorable. For your US viewers Orchids by Hauserman has blooming size tolumnias. I bought 5. Price is reasonable and so is shipping. 2 came with bloom spikes and another 1 is spiking.
I don't see tolumnia for sale very often but I did see a lot of nurseries having more of them this year. I'm glad because I really like them but only have 1! So I ordered 5 to add to my collection :)
Your previous video on the benefits of tolumnias inspired me to order from Hausermann's, and from there another seller in Puerto Rico, and now another in Florida. My Millsbo now has the top dedicated to tolumnia and I created a similar level for tolumnia in my new rudsta. Luckily, I am starting to have real success! No die offs, good root growth and purple blushing appearing on most, with all producing new fans! Three are now spiking: my Jairak Firm 'Fine Point', Jairak Flyer 'Sahara', and variegata!
Love your videos. Keep them coming. Vandas. I have the last remaining vanda available of a certain cross. Any suggestions on how to get it to make a keike? Any suggestions on how to reproduce otherwise? Thanks
Oh yes plz do this tplumnia potting video. I also bought tolumnia Barbie and I am afraid I will lose her, because she seemed shocked after potting up. 😢
If only they would ship to Canada! 😭I think Tolumnias are next on my list to buy. I love mini orchids too. I just checked an orchid nursery in the Toronto area, and they have 6 varieties, 4 of them are the same as the ones you just received. Yay!
Omg. Orchids Deluxe has the pink lobii! I was eyeing up this miniature phal. for some time now... I wouldn't say no to some tolumnias as well. But sadly I can't reach this website anymore ... 😓
They are based in Germany, bud it is just across the border. Some towns across the border in germany are filled with dutch people 😅 patrol for example is cheaper and houses to. My family used to live in the Netherlands bud do there groceries in Germany for example 😆
Hmm it’s been a little while, like a few months, since I’ve purchased a new orchid, maybe I’ll try something new. Any chance you, or anyone else, know of some good places to get something unusual in the Western US?
😅 pupici ✌️🙂🥰🤗

Hi
I would LOVE to see you repot all of your new tolumnias in one go!
Check the newspaper they packed the plants with, for the city. I’m sure they would use readily available resources.
YES. Please repot a ton of tolumnias. The multiple repot vids are some of my favorites.
Can you recommend a mini phal vendor. I am not looking for very expensive.
I would love to watch you repot all of these cuties!

You lucky duck! I can't find Anoectochilus in the U.S. these days, and mine died! Take good care of her.

I live in Sarasota but do not know a Peruvian grower. Can you let me know the name of the nursery? Thanks.
I posted the name of the grower and the web site but don’t see it now. They are having a spring sale this weekend.
@@CatherineRMoore if you are thinking about Planteo la Orquidea, they are not from Peru but from Venezuela and I went to their open house Friday. Thank you very much.
Glad you were able to make it.
I love looking at your orchids I feel like I’m orchid heaven 😊❤
Yeah, unboxing! Yea, tolumnias! Recently i lost 3 from my small collection due to planting too deep but I'll get more as soon as the temperatures will rise a bit
Love your videos and I am addicted to Tolumnias. You can never have too many. Please more videos on anything about Tolumnias
I don’t have any tolumnias but they are so beautiful and smalll, I might have to get some! My oncidium is finally blooming for me after many years of not blooming, thanks to your videos on their care.
They are so gorgeous
Woooww.. my favorite Mini orchid 😀😀
I got ten different Tolumnias last year and red devil was the first to bloom. Soooooo pretty!

I got my first Tolumnia because of you. I would love a repotting video!
I'm waiting on my last order coming from Florida heading to Indiana. Mine also coming UPS. Can't wait for my 5 new cattleyas.
Did you get them from Krull-Smith? I got mine and, although they are quite small, they look very healthy like all the orchids I have gotten from them😍
@BiBiche Knauf they haven't arrived yet. They went out Monday. Nice warm weather here in Indiana today. I have some windows open and furance is off.
@BiBiche Knauf they arrived Thursday afternoon. They are smaller sized cattleya. One has bloomed, and has buds in a shief. Only time will tell if it will bloom vs bud blast. Yes mine came from KrullSmith.
I can not believe they don't ship to Uk!!!!! I'm so upset! The orchids are so beautiful ❤️

Judging by the newspaper, Orchids Deluxe are based in the Netherlands 😊
If only they would ship to Canada! 😭I think Tolumnias are next on my list to buy. I love mini orchids too. I just checked an orchid nursery in the Toronto area, and they have 6 varieties, 4 of them are the same as the ones you just received. Yay!
