This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
I owe a debt of gratitude to my Tabla Gurus, Late Sri G Laxmiah, Ustad Shabbir Nisar, and Sri Rajendra Nakod, and many other great Masters of Tabla who have inspired and taught me along the way. None of this would be possible without them.
Thank you so much for all that tablas lessons. It's so nice to learn tablas with you. All the best🥰🥰🥰

Wonderful kayada sir.. hat's off to you..wonnderful❤❤❤
Thank you.
Complex theme ! So far there was kind of a pattern that made it easy to memorize - this one is looong one
Well, life ceases to be simple, in short order :-) But this is a typical Farrukhabad Kayda with very long theme sections. And that is why, the variations are not double in size like they usually are, with other Kaydas. In this case, all variations are the same size as the theme.
Usually you play in three speeds and the third one is where I just enjoy - can’t match. But in this kayda - looks like you have two speeds and the second one is too fast already ;-) lovely to watch fingers do the magic
Practice slowly and in long stretches. You will get there.
Sir your videos are awesome. This channel ID very good
Thanks a ton
GURUJI PRANAAM . Veri nice lesson

Pavan
Thankyou sir
sir,,,,you are so perfect, we love to watch you,,,,tell us some practicing tips for better sound quality,,,way to remember the different themes
Recite the themes in your head both as you play and when you are not playing. Your playing will improve with more recitation of the bols.
Sir please add laggi and chakradhar also and. ,I also want to say that yu are doing really great job,. These lessons help alot,. Thanks for providing such lessons
Thanks a lot. Laggis will be a part of another series. For now I'm trying to complete this series of 50. Next up is a Peshkar and then we have Tukdas and Chakkardars.
There are plenty of Chakradaar lessons already. Check the series from Lesson 27 onwards.
Not specific to this Kayda - but a general one. How do you decode the bols for a song?
Learning, practice and experience will get you there. No other algorithm or recipe. When you listen to Tabla clips try and identify as many bols as possible.
Sir please tell how to play trak bol and kayda video on it!🙏🙏
Not in this series. I have not planned that. Maybe in a future series on advanced kaydas.
sir, Which lehra box do you prefer?
radel or any other company...
It is made by NAGMA - you can search it online. There are now apps for iPhone and Android phones that deliver more realistic sound. You may want to look at an app called Lehara Studio Pro - it costs a bit but worth it. Disclaimer: I have no connection to the business - just a happy user of the app, that's all.

Dr Pawan ji, for this Kayda (Kayda 10), I am able to play it well enough. But certainly not at the speed of double tempo that you demonstrated. Your speed is at about 300 beats per minute. For 300 speed sound of my te re ke te is not clear. Sure I need more practice. I am able to play at 235 BPM. What is your advice to move on to next Kayda ? Shall I keep practicing for speed or move on to next Kayda and at the same time slowly pace up ? If possible can you please send practice bols for te re ke te to improve speed ? There are many available online, However.. since I follow your lessons, your suggestions means great deal to me.
Don't go after speed - instead focus on sound quality (bol nikas) and clarity and articulation. Speed will be an automatic side effect of good riyaz habits over time. Don't be in a rush to play at higher speeds. If you cannot play at a certain speed, just reduce the tempo. I would say pick up a tempo where you can be just a bit uncomfortable playing at double speed. This way you will be stretching yourself a bit. The only way forward in all situations is, relentless Riyaaz. Happy learning and practicing.
Pavan
If you can play the entire composition with all variations (or most of them) comfortably from start to finish perhaps you can move on to the next lesson.
For TiReKiTe use these phrases for practice:
1. Dha TiReKiTe TaKa | Ta TiReKiTe Taka (4 + 4 sequence)
2. Dha TiReKiTe TaKa TiReKiTe | Ta TiReKiTe Taka TiReKiTe (6 + 6 sequence)
There are many many others but practicing these two in the beginning should set you up good.

@@tabaliya Thank you !!
@@tabaliya but while I am learning new kaidas and variations with you, to keep up with your speed is getting critical and there bol clarity is getting missed...
