Ive had a 6/260 for several years now and your numbers are very close to my cost....good job. Ive had it to gross several times, not fast but it can carry a huge load and its so stable. By far best load hauler for the money. Offers more comfort than most 6 seaters and room to spare. CG is never an issue either.

Thank you! Just getting into GA. Was curious what a reasonably affordable "Family mover" looked like, and looks like this fits the bill really well. Outside of my affordability for now, but definitely something that can be a reasonable goal. Thanks again!!

I fly the PA-32-301 the fix gear saratoga up in Alaska, (Air taxi) it's a great plane... and much roomier that the Cessna 206 or 207. I can actually seat 5 adults (there is enough space in the rear seat for a person being 6ft tall) and luggage and fly 3hrs to a 1500ft runway.

I just came across your channel and I really love your concise breakdowns with lots of information. The chart of the whole PA-32 family was an excellent way to display information.
I have a wife and 3 kids and that really decreases my options if I want to ever have a plane I can put the whole family in. Cherokee 6 is definitely one of my dreams, though its still too expensive for me. I can dream though :D

Excellent video, thanks a lot for that! Roughly how much speed do you gain and how much useful load you lose with Saratoga II vs Cherokee 6? Would be interesting to see the trade off.

I want one, well the 6/300 for light charter and non-medical non- ambulatory transport. Think angle flight for people who can't sit upright in a small seat or climb up. That or the 206 some models have the same engine so parts would be easier to come by at more small a&p shops for more basic fixes. Also could you cover the beech 18? It's the most beautiful plane developed by beech/beechcraft and I won't take any other opinions. Greetings from kdkx.

It varies, depending how much gas you want to burn. Some are turbo charged as well. If you have a turbo, climb up to 10k and put the hammer down, you get going 165 - 170. It'll take 20 gal/hour to do so. I don't believe many people would fly like that however. If you go up to the mid teens you could get 160 or so for less than 15 gal.
That's the Saratoga II turbo. All the others will fall between that and the Six 260

You fail to take into account the mx cost of fixing literally anything. I stg, if anything is broken on those birds, it takes like 5 panels and 4 other part removals to get to it. Better hope your 12mo comes clean or you’re in for a world of trouble with these planes.
