I know the implication is that he also stopped at Burger King, but really with this Batman I can't help but think he just bullied Aquaman out of the league so he could take his burger.

I assume it's actually cause he breathes like a mudskipper. Fills up his mouth/gills with water and just holds it in. That way the atmospheric oxygen can dissolve into the water letting him breathe on land.
I remember some Aquaman Comic (New 52, maybe?) where Aquaman goes to a Seafood Restaurant. Everyone is confused, saying, “You’re Aquaman. You can’t eat fish.” To which Aquaman basically says, “What do you think we eat in Atlantis?” Then there’s some customers giving a waitress a hard time for no reason, so Aquaman asks her why she puts up with it. The waitress says that she needs to put her kid through college, so Aquaman hands her a gold coin and say, “That’s a 17th century Spanish doubloon. Put your kid through college.”
That is, as the kids say, chad behavior. Hold your head high, king. 👑

One of my favorite parts of the new 52 was OceanMaster deciding to help some woman and her child from getting raped. Turns out he liked them and decided to be the boy's father and a husband. It was one time in his life he was actually happy. Then the writers screwed him over.
It was the Issue #1 of New 52 Aquaman, great run lots of cool moments one of my favorites is when he is fighting Hercules and losing so he tricks him into taking the fight to the water where Aquaman kicks his ass
That's one of my favorite disconnects about how ocean kings are written in many places. King Triton throws a fit about humans being fish eaters yet what pulls his chariot are both fish eaters and air breathers........ Most aquatic animals eat other than plants and there aren't many options there but fish.

I'd argue having a Burger King is more like an embassy from the Kingdom of Burger than an intrusion.

I'm surprised the joke didn't involve Batman trying to claim Atlantis isn't real and Aquaman made it up.
In his defense, atlantians never really seem to want to come back to the surface. Theyre pretty isolationist by default, any brush with the humanity is usually violent.
But yeah, aquaman and Bruce really seem like theyre not using their time wisely for random meetings. Youd think guys as busy as them would at least want to spend time with their kids rather than listening to other heroes drone on
