#Rachmaninoff #Pianoconcertono2 #Piano
Hello! I am sorry for the late uploading. Recently, I decided to move to another country. So, I had to prepare lots of things. Anyway, at this time, I prepared Rachmaninoff’s concerto No.2 1st movement. It is one of the famous piano concertos. At 1897, his first symphony was derided by contemporary critics. He fell into a depression. After courses of psychotherapy, he was able to overcome it and write this piece. So, this concerto was dedicated to Nikolai Dahl, the Russian physician which helped him. To make video for piano concerto, a new system had to be prepared. Thus, lots of money and time was required. With the support in Patreon and Buy me a coffee, the system was able to be prepared. I attach the credit for them. In addition, for orchestra, I used Tonic Chord's accompaniment audio file. I hope that it will be helpful for people wondering. I really appreciate the support.:) I hope that you guys enjoy it! Have a great day!
Take your time, amazing performance as usual

Rachmaninoff had a gift for writing tender, warm melodies, longing for something, somewhere, forever lost.
Its funny I have been obsessed with this melody and exact part of the score for a few days now. Its so emotionally charged.
5:24-6:49 is my favourite part of this masterpiece. For a moment it just feels like finally we get to hear the most epic, extraordinary piece in the universe while the world dies, it expresses so much with the background string section. My mother heard Rachmaninoff play in Liverpool in the 1930s. The Philharmonic Hall was too small for the expected crowds, and so the performance was in a cinema.

Rachmaninoff’s piano concerto no. 2 is my favourite piece of music ever written. You have made my day. I’d love to see you do the second and third movements :)
Something about the bass F in the beginning is just so satisfying to hear.

Try richters then
Try Earl Wild (pianist) with Jascha Horsentein (conducting) from 1965. And yes, also Richter.
We played this in my high school orchestra concert. I was a string player. I’ve been trying to learn piano since. I always told myself that the day I can play this is piece is the day that I tell myself I’ve made it with piano. Not sure if that day will ever come.

I can't begin to express the swelling of emotions forming within me while watching this. Kassia, I've obsessed over this piece for the past year; even watched a live performance prior to the exisiting pandemic (it was spiritually fulfilling), but I had never seen it played overhead, and I could never appreciate the complexity and difficulty of this piece because of it. Now I have. The effort and time invested in your learning this piece is apparent as the end result is pristine. You are wildly skilled and worthy of praise. Bravissima!
This piece has supported me throughout my entire life; as I fell in love 4:22, when I was drafted to join the war 0:31, as I was trapped under heavy fire in the field 5:48, during my wedding 4:37, when I received an honorable discharge 6:13, during the birth of my child 7:47, enjoying the rest of my days with my family 2:37, and grieving after the loss of my loved ones 9:19. Thank you Rachmaninoff for this beautiful gift that you have bestowed upon the world.

Although I don't play the piano, I play the violin and guitar, this piece has always been my favorite one. I like Rachmaninoff's music bcuz his music just speaks to you. He went through a lot of things personally with himself, as did a lot of people, and made these pieces to express himself and a lot of people felt the same way he did when listening to his music, including myself.
This piece is so inspirational. Especially 6:07 to 7:19!
Agreed
6:51からが特に好きっ!!
You belong sitting on a stage, your graceful hands gliding along on a grand piano, the orchestra behind you accompanying your beautiful sounds.
Absolutely awesome! I haven't heard this performance yet but I'm sure it'll be astounding as usual. I think Rachmaninoff truly composed the best musical pieces combining the Russian culture and a more modern western world approach. Keep up the great work Kassia!

Incredible kassia. So much respect for your piano skills!
Thank you so much, Leuvre!:)💕
Yeah, the climax is beautiful in this movement, but the section from 3:30 to 4:00 is just out of this world, the transition from a dark, melancholic theme to a beautiful but also melancholic theme. It's like living a long time in darkness and coming out from that darkness, it's shiny, but the light itself feels sorrowful, melancholic because it doesn't mean anything for you now. I relate this to his depression which made him to live 4 awful years. And the section right after the climax (especially from 7:30 to 7:58) is something divine, can't describe with words. Thank you Kassia for such an amazing performance.
Thank you for your long comment!:)💕
