It's been a while. I apologize for the delay in uploads due to personal reasons. However, I've done my best to prepare for this performance. This time, I have prepared 1st movement of Beethoven's Pathétique Sonata. This piece had also been requested by lots of subscribers. I hope that you like this performance!:) I have introduced several Beethoven pieces on my channel, so if there's a Beethoven piece you would like to hear, please leave a comment. Thank you always! Have a nice day!
To play a wrong note is insignificant but to play it without passion is inexcusable. God Kassia you gave the word passion(pathetique) a whole new meaning. Continue to practice 40 hours a day. Once again a wonderful playing and it made my day. Merci beaucoup!
Where I'm from, the 3rd movement is more popular and I actually never had the chance to listen to the 1rst movement till tonight. Thank you for this incredible performance !
Wow, this is a very unique on this movement. Your interpretation is one of the fiercest, with the pure icy touch to it, unlike other pianists that still have some sort of warmth. It's a great interpretation, and definitely a breath of fresh air.
How the heck would you just not like these masterpieces, everyone should press a like to show appreciation to that wonderful thing kassia and others are doing to get a video done, this is much work behind it and it's too amazing

Good evening, I am writing this comment to express my admiration for your splendid performance of this piece. I had a particularly difficult day, and as someone in the field of music, specifically piano, hearing you play the "Pathétique" brings solace and restores my day. I truly adore your work and encourage you to keep pursuing it! Best regards,
Kassia, I just have no words when I listen to your playing. I have been waiting for this part of the sonata for a very long time. I have three favorites: apassionate, moonlight, pathetique. I am glad that I can listen to them in your performance, I am waiting for the first part of Apassionata! Thank you once again for delighting us with your performance. ❤
I know nothing of piano playing, & even to my unaccustomed eye, this looks like one of the most complex finger works ever seen. How a mortal being could conceive such music is beyond me; I'm just thankful to belong to a species that has the capacity to create such an abstract art form. Thank you, Kassia.
from 6:48 to 6:58, I don't think any of you would understand how unbelievably difficult these 10 seconds are to play. I'm learning this song at the moment and my left hand will not cooperate on its own, and the right hand is just making it 10x harder.
i played the song and was finding difficulty in that part so i think if you can practice the left hand on its own until you don't even have to focus on it at all will make a difference when you are playing both hands together
Kassia, you're a genius! You play beautifully! We wish you the best in UA-cam! We are waiting for something large-scale, something that will blow up the Internet. You're an awesome pianist! Good luck to you!
I love this performance, miles better than the other youtubers. It feels like a dark and moody piece in C minor, it feels like Beethoven angst, it has the proper dark emotion. It's what I wished mine could've been.
YAYYYY I have been waiting for pathetique 1st movement from you from a while kassia! I’m glad you posted it! I’m sure it’s going to be REALLY good! 🩷🩷🩷
You have inspired me so much to play piano, and because of it I have gotten pretty good and have been playing for over a year. every time I watch your videos, it is like I have some feeling of nostalgia. I love your videos so much. THANK YOU!!
So sorry to hear of your troubles .....we all have burdens to bare from time to time and some we gave no control over , l myself am having a change in my life that l simply wasn't ever expecting and just hope that there is a light at the end of that long tunnel ! ......... This is one of my favourite pieces and it always leaves me in awe of Beethoven's mastery in composition ....how does someone have the ability to sit down at a table , scribble this out , and know how it will sound !!! And to not only hear, but see his transcript on the keyboard ? We are all so grateful for the priviledge of not only hearing but seeing your passion . Thank you 💕
What a beautiful performance! You really managed to capture the emotion in this movement. I admire your amazing skill, and I hope to one day be as good of a pianist as you
I haven't attempted them yet, but I'm having such a problem with the right hand that I can only imagine. I'm dreaming of being able to play a piece like this but there's so many little techniques like that I'm going to have to get down
@@kiaratonii8408 In case you're still struggling or for those that are trying to learn this piece too, try playing the tremolo as if you're turning a doorknob instead of just using your fingers alone. You can start slow first and increase the speed as you get comfortable. Your forearm will definitely be burning tho.
Currently learning this one. With 5 years of practicing, it's quite hard 😅. It will be my harder piece, I hope I will manage to play it well like you !
Wow Kassia! It's so good! I played this to my college entrance exam! I enjoyed a lot your performance! And leds are stunning, so beautiful! Always thank you for your videos! :)
I'm curious to know how much you studied before you went to college (if you did) and how long you spent studying composition. I would be very grateful.
I study classical music, and I thought it was an annoying piece until I heard the way you play it. You give life to all the classical music and I love it. Because of you I will perform the same music soon. Thank you for the hard practice all the time, 🙂
Ahh yes, the piano sonata that introduced me to piano, as well as classical music. Before I heard this, I had assumed that all music from the era was boring (suffice to say that's changed). Even years later, this is still a favorite of mine. Thanks for covering this Kassia, love your covers!
This is such a great version of this song! It really lives up to its title, and is probably the most completely Beethoven sounding song he’s written that I’ve heard, it’s so him! 😂 This is really good, and I haven’t listened to this much recently, so thanks for bringing it back. It’s fascinating to see your hands move so fast, yet so expressively, something I always have trouble with in faster songs, but you executed it so well. Bravo!

Great job, Kassia! Thanks for playing one of the most iconic Beethoven sonatas. You played it perfectly!

The music is complex, but not exactly god-like. It's just "pathetic" that's all. This sonata is the epitome of Beethoven.
