Many people, myself included, are hoping about the possibility of an experiment involving a patient who previously underwent an FUE, having some of the old scars excised and treated. Even if follicle restoration isn't achieved, reducing hypopigmentation and improving the scar's appearance to would be remarkable. Thank you, Doctor, for your efforts and passion, your commitment is truly valued by the entire community. Regardless of any outcome, It's great to see someone exploring new possibilities that could potentially benefit many. We're looking forward to future updates, staying rational but with hope. Cheers to science and those who explore new horizons. 🚀
Would be nice if you just say that you will or won’t update so we don’t check the site ever so often. Again , thank you for atleast conducting the trial.
Dr. Barghouthi's FUE/Verteporfin experiment looked more drastic. Perhaps the FUT and Verteporfin combination doesn't work as well due to the severity of the wound. Should a higher dose have been considered? It's encouraging, however, that the healing appears different in the treated areas. Hopefully, this is a case of the slower healing caused by vert and the follicles regenerate.
Higher dose isn't always better. It could just require more time or could be the severity of the wound. I hope to get more updates on the virgin patient, as that is a better comparison to Dr. Barghouthi's experiment and to the pig studies.
The Dr Bloxham used the lowest dosage in 2 of the patients and the recommended dosage only in the one that shows more improvement, more cm2 won't mean better results, this looks like, is more about the injection process! (Areas, angle, deep) what really surprise me is that the white hair regrowth identically, I was expecting that it'll will regrowth in the original color! So it mean s that VP is regenerating skin identically as it was!😮
@@mcf9046 Good point - so that means microneedling with verteporfin in already bald areas will likely only regenerate minature hairs - what do you think about the prospects for deliberately splitting FUE hairs - will transected hairs regrow with Verteporfin?
I disagree, we still have a lot of time left, I didn't think Barghouti's results were that promising until the end. We've seen improvement with every update, I would expect more improvement with time.
Since Verteporfin blocks YAP protein, some people may jave more YAP so they need mor verteporfin to block all of it. Applying Verteporfin some time before th incision may give more time to block all YAP. And since it stops scar formation and not stimulates any cell regrow, some people may have more hair restauration and some may have less. It could be increase maybe with some growth factors injected with verteporfin or some time later. Nice thing to test too.
Dr Bloxham after an evaluation period of 12 months if you think verteporfin has worked please encourage your patients to shave down to zero guard so that it may help others. Even if there is decreased scarring with no hair regeneration even that is a win.
Hi, Dr. Bloxham, I am not sure if you have the opportunity to read these comments, but I have a query unrelated to follicular unit excision scars. I have surgical incision scars on my eyebrows and I am curious about the efficacy of Verteporfin in scar revision. While the FUE efficacy is a bit of a mystery for now, does it completely eliminate the scar tissue when it comes to scar revisions? Thanks!
@@milanafox2030 Apparently, there is a doctor in Turkey, Dr. Murat Acar, who has successfully eliminated a beard-scar from a patient. This patient has posted photos on RealSelf. I've contacted the doctor.
Hello, what dosage of verteporfin is your treatment? Is it just a single injection into the site or multiple? Do you think a topical formulation could work, especially if it contained a permeating compound such as DMSO?
Dr. Bloxham, these trials seem to be taking an extended period of time. The surgical scars on my face, which I've lived with for 10 years, are causing me distress. I eagerly await the day they will be completely gone. When do you anticipate the treatment will be available?
Fenol pelling, many doctors don't do it cz is cheap quick and you'll get the same results as 2 years of laser treatments ($20k+) in single session for less than 1k dlls
@@gw244I am also planning such an eyebrow line surgery. Please tell me, are these scars easy to mask with a pencil or cosmetics?Or are they visible with makeup anyway?
@@milanafox2030 I'm able to mask them, but I have to be really conservative with the product or it will be visible. The best would be for verteporfin scar treatments to come out really soon.
@@gw244 I'm in the same boat as you guys, I also have the eyebrow scars. There are 2 guys on RealSelf that I have seen that claim that verteporfin caused scarless healing for them. So interested in seeing how the scarring process is going. I know there are alot of moving parts and you're busy
Please doc. This is my last hope I would appreciate an update.
WE NEED UPDATE #5😂
this is the truth
Please Update on the Vertaporfin. Even if the results are not great, we can take it. We just want to stay informed. Thanks for the work.
Thank you for being so kind to do the trial. Hope you get time for update. There are many people waiting for it.
Thanks for the update doc, the whole community is indebted to your efforts. Fingers crossed for an exciting 6 month update
Doc, we know you are a busy guy. But we would appreciate a 9 month update.

i don't think that could work if scar tissue is already in place, verteporfin work in the moment of the healing not after
@@jackcarver8234 scar tissue can be excised with FUE pucnh or scar tissue can be wounded similar to how slits are made in the recipient area.

Hi Dr. Bloxham, it would be really interesting to see a new follow up video about these cases!
Dr B. I am starting “reminder a day to update us on vert progress until you block me” challenge
Any news yet?

Very informative! Thank you so much for making such an upfront and accessible video on the topic.
Thanks for rhe update doc, Already waiting for the next one!!!
Thank you Dr. Bloxham for what you are doing!
Thanks for the update Dr.!
Thanks so much Dr ❤
Thanks for the update!
Loving the results!
What dose use? In the pig test was 2 mg/ml Subcutaneus after surgery, and then suture...
Hey, how are the results looking now?
Can this drug be used after the the scar process is done? I had an FUE procedure done and wondering if this drug can still be used
If Dr Bloxham updates on the trial we will know if it works or not. Then perhaps you need to reinjure the wound and inject
Thank you !!!
