    This is great results for hair transplants and scars in general. Keep spreading the information and lets see if we can get this exciting discovery out there. People are in need of something to help cure balding and scars. This would help people with depression, confidence, and give them back a sense of hope for the self harm population. Not to mention it would generate billions and billions for the industry and people that need surgery could feel better about the procedure with a more less or completely gone scar. Exciting news.

    Hey Doc, thank you so much for all this work in verteporfin.
    I would love to see a YAP blocking drug mixture for maximum efficacy in blocking YAP using multiple targets, multiple drugs. As well, a revision in application method and quality control. I hope more doctors will take this on like you and clinical studies will increase. Any marginal improvement will be game changing for hair transplants. You can sense the profound nature of it compared to most other treatments.

      I completely agree with combining drugs that target YAP in slightly different ways. Actually looking into this now! Thanks for commenting - Dr Bloxham

    that is a dramatic difference/result. hopefully this will show to be at least a more typical result rather than an outlier result. thanks for sharing!

    Excellent work. With such a good safety profile there isn’t much reason to not add this to a procedure. I get the whole we need more data stuff but if it’s safe and minimal if any downside then why not let it help people.

    Thanks for this important update Dr Bloxham - please explain why this post 12 month update is a "final update" when it is expected to take 18 months for the full result to be realised?

    • @fellerandbloxham
      @fellerandbloxham  4 дні тому

      Good point. I believe improvement will continue up through 18 months as well. Hopefully we will get a follow-up visit. Thank you for commenting - Dr Bloxham

    Will you incorperate this treatment more regularly in the future? Like perhaps if someone would like to try it with verteporfin. Would be awesome to see more tests with verteporfin to see what effect it has, also for FUE procedures

    Great results. Doctor, have you looked at expanded verteporfin application - i.e., 7 days straight, 1x week for a month, etc. Multiple applications (like PRP sessions) may be beneficial. I'm sure the body absorbs some, etc. How long is verteporfin active?

    • @DarkmatterX05
      @DarkmatterX05 7 днів тому

      Multiple applications are interesting...but I'm quite interested in wounding the bald scalp and applying the verteporfin afterwards and seeing if there is any regrowth

      We did discuss this. Some others have done multiple applications as well. In my opinion, we shouldn’t have to based upon the way the medication works and how we would shut off that aspect of the wound healing cascade from the time of injury. So I think unless you are going to re-wound in some sense, it probably wouldn’t be necessary. However, this is all so new that it could be worth a try! Thanks for the great commentary! - Dr Bloxham

    What was the dosage used in this? What’s the best dosage per cm scar? I’ve read 1mg per cm. What’s best distribution, maybe 0.5mg every 5mm?
    Does it need to be applied exactly at the time of excision or can it wait perhaps 10 hours for example?
    What about repeat applications, days later, months later etc
    How about also applying peptides suck as ghk-cu, maybe also cjc/ipam to counteract the slower growth after verteporfin etc

    im wondering why this would even be relevant for hairtransplants tho, since FUE has become so good that a lot of doctors can now extract huge amounts of grafts without making the donor look bad at all. I could only see this as a good treatment for anything else scar related (injuries and so on)

      also when you go for a fade or a very close haircut your FUE scars stand out like moth eaten scalp

      @@utrippin7486 The appearance of FUE scars (moth eaten appearance) is not a skill based thing but rather the consequence of the HT punch size and the placement. Even with well placed extraction sites, on a close to skin fade the small pin point scars will be visible

      @loo6942 9 днів тому +5

      the whole point is to regrow the donor hair so you don't run out of hairs for transplants
