    Wow I've been pretty out of the loop for fishtube, but I just want to say that your style is so refreshing and fun! I love how you show the what's going well and what can be improved upon. It gives a much more realistic outlook on the hobby. Your tank is looking phenomenal even though there are a lot of little issues you pointed out. Nano tanks are so annoying sometimes so I can relate lol especially with space issues. I have a lot more of your content to see and I look forward to seeing your humor sprinkled in with your beautiful b-roll shots and valuable insights. Thanks for sharing and inspiring, keep it up man!!

    Recently i heard a good way to eliminate aptasia. Take a little epoxy putty (that stuff to bind rocks with in an aquascape), put it on the aptasia (it will pull back into the rock) and close it with the putty.

    Nice JOOOOB! :X. did you make water changes on coral farm tank? If yes, you can tell how often and how much water? you can present the coral farm tank? Regards

    • @AquaSplendor
      @AquaSplendor  3 роки тому +1

      My frag tank? Hmm I do water change once (2?) a month on that one. But it's not a good tank for the corals at the moment, I have so much cyanobacteria, I don't feed that tank at all, no fish and phosphate always go too low (0.000) and Cyano shine in these conditions without competitor. I don't mind too much, because if the corals survive, I can almost guarantee who ever buy my frag that they will do better in their tank.

    Months ago in my head I imagined in the future, your sump would be full of mussels like 100's of them just filtering the water as it passed through the sump. It sounds funny to me now but it makes me wonder if it would be any good and if mussels need light.
    And Sir Nic, I cleaned my aquarium before the upload, I'm just boosting this algorithm!

    • @AquaSplendor
      @AquaSplendor  3 роки тому +1

      Oh my, I miss having a sump so much. I don't think I'm making the mussel thrives, I think the tank is "too clean" for them to be thrive and reproduce, they like getting flow filled of nutriment (tiny particle like phyto). Mussel doesn't need light. As far I'm aware there's no mussel having photosynthetic feature but I could be wrong.

    • @reconnaissance7372
      @reconnaissance7372 3 роки тому

      @@AquaSplendor I read that they respond to light and it might have something to do with cue's for reproduction, in my attempt to see if they needed light but didn't really find anything conclusive. And I mean the inbuilt sump hehe, like where your filter basket is :) I imagined there would be different kinds of filter feeders feeding off the flow in the rear sump section hehe.

    I really wish I could get my hands on these Eviotas. There are a few things that I believe freshwater has an upper hand: good looking, classy and sexy equipment and small fish for a better sense of scale. By the way, what happened to the RFAs? Et j'ai rien compris quand t'as parlé en québécois 🤣

    • @AquaSplendor
      @AquaSplendor  3 роки тому +1

      Lol.
      I removed the anemone hmm in the 40ishh episode, I was going full on with big vertical corals that create shadows on them and they didn't anchor like I wished, they moved too much to my taste, was starting to burn some of my corals, and space is a precious thing in nano so I decided to remove them back to my other aquarium instead. RFA was a mistake, I really wanted creating symbiosis with the shrimps but it wasn't the right thing to do in the circonstance of my tank.
