Is oil change in the Smart shift any different from your C.line tutorial?

The working steps to perform the oil change is indeed different than from a normal C-Line. That is to due the Smart.Shift Box that lays over the gearbox. So we recommend to have the oil change done by your local dealer.

It cannot . Different Gearbox C1.12i not compatible..

Pinion Smart.Shift gearboxes differ from the P and C line gearboxes in their internal structure. The shifting mechanisms and sensor technology are the main differences. Smart.Shift gearboxes are based on the C-line and are marked with an „i“. (C1.12i, C1.9i, C1.6i).

Is maintenance the same like the other pinion gearbox? All you need is an oil change?

For maintenance there are some specific working steps that applies only for the new Pinion Smart.Shift System. So we recommend to have it done by your local dealer. But basically the oil change is one essential step for maintainance even for the new gearboxes.

Currently it is not avaible as a standalone or with a C-Line Gearbox. Only in some specific E-Bikes. But let's see what the future holds up.
