Diane Ladd is great in Wild at Heart! Like Siskel said, she was proud of that performance, a believably cartoon vindictive sociopath and she pulls it off perfectly!

Keaton stated multiple times that she didn't like "The Godfather Part III" and only came around to it in recent years. The fact that her relationship with Pacino disintegrated during production probably had something to do with her take on the movie.
Routine romantic comedy like Ghost? Sorry Ebert, as much as I respect you, that movie was anything but routine. It combined romance, comedy, the supernatural, and action, and pulled it all off quite well.
1) It's a foreign film, those don't get major nominations without aggressive marketing campaigns and wide audience appeal, and 2) it isn't one of his most acclaimed works. Almodovar's big shot years in the international market began in the late 90s.

Goodfellas was a wonderful film.
Reversal of Fortune was the most underrated movie of that year. I still love to watch it today.
