- Bass fishing, wild camping and Scotland; what more could you possibly want!? In this extra long video a first for me, I head up to South West Scotland, sea fishing for Bass and Pollock using the lures, with the added treat of an overnight wild camping stay at a stunning location and an unbelievably Bass esc location.
Such a great couple of days and I hope you appreciate the effort that went into this video both from a filming perspective and an editing one! Nevertheless well worth it and hoping to do a few more of these style videos if it goes down well!

I've just been up this spot last week for 7 days, 4/5 days were fishable, done very well with over 200 pollock 4 wrasse and a couple of bass, 3 PB pollock as well!

Brilliant. It was a pleasure to bump into you on that trip and have a brief chat up at the Cairn(Mally from Hartlepool). I enjoy watching a few fishing UA-camrs(yourself, slippy limpets, fish locker) and never cease to be amazed at the artistic and technical quality of your videos- (all the more stunning when set against my own attempts at UA-cam as vinyl monkey sitting talking about my old LPs). I too had a canny day, albeit mainly deploying floatfished sandeel. Total respect for you prioritising good release over video opportunities. Great stuff.

I camp as fish a lot here in Cornwall. Always fancied travelling around Scotland fishing . Maybe the nc500 in my van this year. Looks great . Great video pal.

those marks are class southwest scotland is the sport fishing capital of the uk it would take several years of adventuring before you even fished a 10th of the solway . its a fantastic life 🏴☠️

I've fished that same mark and been hammered by pollock up to about 7lbs until I could barely cast. No bass though. might have to go back and try again.
Haha 😂 I’ve had those days off there too! It’s a smashing part of the world and we’ll worth going back too! I think the bass are fairly localised, but not sure!
Luck you never went in the super tide a few weeks ago otherwise you would have had an early morning swim. Another great video some good fish on that trip.

Thanks pal! Glad you appreciated it! I’d recommend a braid and fluro carbon set up! 50ib braid mainline with a 20kg fluro leader, its so easy for abrasion to happen so as strong as possible 👌
My first time watching you fish. Would of liked to know what tackle was used and a close up on the lures too. Also roughly where in Scotland were you fishing ? Exact fishing destination can be kept a close secret. Looking forward to ur next vid. Tight lines. 🎣
Hi Matt thanks for commenting pal! I won’t lie to you - I compensated by putting as many slow shots of the gear in as possible! Only realised I hadn’t done it when I got home! 🤣 what can you do!? I also use that rod a lot so a lot of the subscribers no the set up! Was a savage gear weedless sandeel along side the Rigged and Ready Predator rod! Regards to location, its in South West Scotland - it’s literally near nothing so it’s quite to hard to say what it’s close too 😂 but I’ve fished all around that coast and there’s PLENTY of fish! 👌 thanks for watching the channel pal and hope you enjoy the upcoming content 😀

Hi. Im a carp angler from Manchester, we're heading up to do the nc500 on Friday, ive got a spinning rod and a reel loaded with 12lb mono, grabed a few lures from the tackle shop. Ive never sea fished, any areas along the route i could have a bash mate? Enjoyed that vid mate. 👍
Hi pal sorry for the late reply not stopped over here!!! I would get on the braid if I was you 30ib minimum as it’s very rocky and very snaggy! Soft baits and anything metal normally works well! There’s pretty much pollock all over the NC500 and if you’re really up north try Thurso and head out to the east there’s a cool little mackerel mark and so much more!! @@japanesefishingadventures wasn’t sure if they would need to be heavier due to being the sea, so how deep are you roughly catching them at I’ve always thought you’d need to let the lures sink as if you were fishing for mackerel and cod etc but you seem to be letting it sink for a few seconds and reeling straight away
