I enjoyed your fishing video....well done. I fully relate to the woman at the tackle store.... next time look for other shops like Mister Fish and Angler Think Fish. They are at different locations on the island. They would have given you loads of useful information and also a smile :) Keep in mind that some stuff that works in the UK does not work in the Med :) As others have said, if you come back try cliff fishing, sunset spinning and try and book an offshore fishing trip.... keep it up!

That River Tarpon-like fish you mentioned is actually a Chinese-Korean native species called Topmouth Culter/Skygazer, and is one of the most famous game fish here in China. Caught some of them here on spinners, spoons, minnows, and also walkers, they are a fun fish to catch ngl. They also have another relatives called the Redtail Culter, which also lives in Mongolia.

we have thousands of lochs in scotland with many huge waters and also some 100 yards long but most of them have trout in them, some are buttery yellow and others are jet black
