having seen ends, meh wasn't great, could have been a lot better if it made sense lol, they missed a lot of opportunities with this film. No clue what the writers and directors were trying to do with this movie but it should not have been the way to end laurie's 40 year legacy. In my opinion.
Why did we waste building up the relationship between Laurie and Michael through 3 previous films (78', 18' & Kills), only for their relationship to be completely inconsequential until 10 minutes at the end of the FINAL film.
Why was Laurie so paranoid for 40 years when Michael was safely locked up In Smith's Grove, but then is perfectly fine buying a house, baking cakes and writing books after Michael killed 25+ people in 2018 including her own daughter & HE IS STILL ON THE LOOSE.
It has its problems but good on them for trying something different. Seems like a lot of scenes were cut so hopefully those will be in the Blu ray, maybe a directors cut.
no there won't be a director cut version for this movie there will be only deleted and extended scenes

Rohan Campbell did a great job. His performance is the reason why I liked the film.
I liked the movie. 8/10. It was the worst of the new trilogy, but still pretty great. I think most people are disappointed because they were taken by surprise by the story. If you watch it a second time, or just stop to think about it, you'll see that it'b better than you realize.
i did enjoy it but could of been little bit better if we had more Michael Myers in the movie and have more Carnage kills too and also have the movie little bit longer too but that just me though and for me its a 7.5/10 stars

I loved the ending, but was irritated that it took around 30 minutes into the movie before we saw Michael for the first time.
Michael is only in the movie for like 10 mins they made him a joke and weak af he gets his throat and wrist slit then put in a grinder movie over
He did get his ass beat in Kills. Although after 4 years you'd think he would have healed a bit more.
I'm not trying to down grade this movie because I haven't even seen it yet. But 9 times out of 10, the first originals of a movie are always going to be the best in my opinion. Nothing can compare to the first set of the Halloween movies 🎃

I guess they didn’t want to make the same movie 3 times over, they already did the trauma and paranoia angle in 18 and Kills. Though, it couldve been way better written.

I didn’t think they could make a worse decision than side lining Laurie during the last film (which I thought was the worst Hollywood horror film I’ve ever watched) but, here we are.

Worst Halloween movie ever! An absolute unworthy end to this saga. Now even the shitty H2 from Rob Zombie or Resurrection looks golden compared to this.
I have no problem with Michael dying, don’t get me wrong. But this boring and senseless story with a way too much rushed end (finally with Michael) makes me more than angry.
So many unanswered questions left open, like:
Who or what did Michael actually see when looking outside the window?
Was it actually Laurie who caused the accident to release Michael?
Why is Laurie 4 years after the death of her daughter less traumatized than the 40 years before that night?
Why is Allyson so obsessed out of a sudden of Corey?
Why is Michael so weak after he was build up to an indestructible Human being in Halloween kills?
This last movie seems so off to the rest of the trilogy. Also small things like the BLUE color instead of orange in the credits for the title looks weird.
To me, as a fan from the beginning, this movie was simply a huge disappointment!
I hope the BluRay will feature the first version of the movie which was done before the pandemic break retakes.
Movie was terrible not even worth watching it. I thought they were setting up passing of the torch but nope that went down the drain as well Corey ending up becoming the new Micheal and Allison being new laurie

this trilogy as a whole sucked but this movie is definitely a standout of the three for how terrible it is
Jamie has a lot of pull in Hollywood. There's no way she thought this was a good movie. She couldn't have spoken up and said let's not do this to the fans who've been watching the Laurie and Michael story for over 40 years? I will definitely not watch this director's version of the exorcist. The girl probably won't get possessed until the last twenty minutes of the movie. And him saying he wants this movie to be phenomenally successful is just famous last words, lol
She don't care about the fans! She's not alone that's just 98% of Hollywood the last 10 years! They made the movie they wanted to make! They have plenty of folks who like it and it's making some money. I liked the movie! Like I said don't get it twisted! They made this movie without any direction to go! I mean hell I've heard there are 4 endings and this wasn't even the definitive end till a couple months ago! That's why the trailers were vague until about a month ago! I know HW has always been pretentious a-holes just worse in Today's world!
Definitely won't be the last Halloween movie. In a decade or so, Michael Myers will be back in some form or another... I know it's already been remade once before, but there is another way of doing it again. By altering one thing you can add a whole new dynamic to that story.
If I were asked to reboot Halloween from the beginning I would slightly alter two things. Number one. Michael doesn't escape from Smith's Grove, he gets released because that's what would really happen. If a six year old child done what he done, they most likely be wouldn't be held past their 21st birthday. He was in Smith's Grove for 15 years. 6+15 is 21. Another thing I would change is there would be absolutely no element of the supernatural at all. He wouldn't be an unstoppable force of evil. He would simply be a psychopath because at the end of the day the Boogeyman isn't real, but deranged people are very much real and the darkness that can live inside a human being is a whole lot scarier than anything supernatural could ever be.

Was worse than the Halloween kills
I thought it was phenomenal! Ends felt like a 1980’s John Carpenter film mixed with David Gordon Green’s own flair. The copy cat angle was shocking at first, but then I realized how it tied into the original 1978 Halloween’s ending message & this trilogy’s. It really helped enhance the lore & explained some elements of Michael’s evil / the Shape’s essence but still retaining that mystique. Also, the actor who played Cory did a great job as did the rest of the cast.
U cant go after the killer and call it a horror film.

You took what we knew for years that Lorie was Micheal sister and then all of a sudden what we knew was changed and now she wasn't his sister..messed up. And Michael chearter wasn't even in the movie we came to see Micheal and Lorie fight it out. Not a kid being bullied..sucked

@@GaryRinaldi I didn't like the ending. It was so rushed. There was no suspense to it. For me that's why the whole movie is off. They should have been building up to that final showdown, not focusing on Corey, who no one cares about. I feel bad for the actor who played him, though. To a lot of people he's going to be that kid who ruined Halloween.

It's slightly better than Season of the Witch, but that is all I'll give it. I think there is a curse on the third Halloween movie. The curse of Michael Myers was awful, too, and it was the third in the Jamie timeline.

If this movie was a stand alone movie and not part of a trilogy then I wouldn’t mind it. But because MIchael is so well known in pop culture it creates an awful story with both corey and michael as a “duo”
