    I cried a when Tonya said to Margot, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me put the past in the past." Then she cried a little and held and kissed Margot's hand. She's a very resilient woman.

      she has admitted to knowing more than she originally claimed ua-cam.com/video/P1gsZ5Rm8JQ/v-deo.html. everyone who knows Nancy and Tonya say that Tonya hated her even Nancy, but Tonya claims they were friends ua-cam.com/video/9TSga895OXk/v-deo.html her mom even says ya she's always been a habitual lyer to but no let's all believe they lady who has been caught lying many times over the police, fbi, skating federation, news outlets, everyone who got caught along with many letters from people who claim to know more and the people who knew her the best. ever heard of the boy who crys wolf, hint it's not about wolfs.

    I cried at your movie, the way you were unprotected. No one ever thought of u as someone who was being abused, you had no money, you had no support, so less love surrounding you, and you fought back with all you had. You were a fighter. In the scene when the judge said to you that you'll never going to skate, I felt like he took your soul from you..because you had nothing else. That's why winning ment so much for you. Because ice-skating was your life.

    It's about time Tonya received an apology. Loved the scenes highlighting socio-economic class prejudice! It is an unfortunate, ongoing reality of our culture that some people cannot stand when some supremely talented individuals insist on rising "above their stations." Tonya was, in many ways, a victim of that prejudice.

      WildwoodClaire1 I'm not sure why Tonya is seen as the one who needs sympathy in this situation... We only know what she's told us, and while she's said other people were abusive to her we must remember that these claims have been called out as lies.
      Tonya was hated because she possibly had a competitor assaulted, and if she didn't then at the very least she knew who did it and didn't go to the police. She knew she would be fine, it was so high profile that she knew she would be safe. She chose not to. It's not fair to believe her claims when people deny them but say it's bullshit that she knew anything about the assault when others say she did.

      james jordan Chill, Princess Nancy just got a bruised up knee which is still not okay but she had a bratty personality and when she got that silver medal she threw a fit. Overall all the shit Tonya been through and all the beatings she took still worked her ass off her whole life just to being put down for being “white trash” when in reality she was the best skater. Thats fucked up, so she didn’t have a family or money like Nancy did, she can’t fucking change that. Tonya still out did her and to still be put down like that for things you can’t change in your life is far worse than getting a bruised up knee in my opinion. Nancy still went to the olympics she still got her medal and the whole media sympathized over her. Its been 24 years u need to stop being such a salty bitch about it and worry about things that don’t matter anymore.

You are beautiful inside and out, despite the abuse and pain forced upon you. I have been so angry about my favorite athlete's raw deal for over 20 years. It is BECAUSE of Tonya's skating that I became a spectator of her sport. And it so happens that she's always been an interesting and pleasant person. I'm glad this showcases that too. She was portrayed in all media as unpleasant, mean, ugly -- I remember 90s bros calling her fat a lot, which is especially bizarre. The movie is terrific on many levels, and I cried for the final half hour of it. I have identified with her struggle as an "inappropriate" woman, all this time. I hope many others can also learn from her that way now. To me, she's not only the best skater ever; she's also an inspiration, a hero, a warrior.

      Lucas Pigliavento She didn’t. Her abusive husband hired someone, so she couldn’t go, so she could stay with him. And the Committee wouldn’t let her leave him, even though she tried. Also Kerrigan was an ungrateful narsicistic bitch that mocked her sponsors and complained because she didn’t win at Lillehammer.

    • @OliviaBright3
      @OliviaBright3 6 років тому +11

      Madison Proteccmyidentity Thank you! I started looking into her and what happened after I saw the trailer, and then I saw an interview with Nancy saying how “she never got an apology from Tonya”, sl I watched the interview from 95, and Tonya is literally apologizing to her face. There was something about Nancy, her attitude, her bitching, that I couldn’t stand. So I saw her at Disney and the way she complained when she lost. I was disgusted honestly. But then I looked into Tonya, and I was amazed at how royally screwed she was. The committee, her ex husband, her mother, and the media, were either out to get her or wanted a piece of her. But she never stopped having a fire for life. She had a thousand times the grace Bancy did. Tonya is an inspiration, especially in how she still decided to keep doing athletics, keep smiling, and not let the haters get to her. Even when the world was against her. I relate a lot to her, and am so happy to see that she’s getting her side of the story out there.

    I legit watch this everyday. This was during my age. I’m 44. N I’ve said u were a victim that has turnt a painful thing into positive. I too am a domestic violence survivor and I stand proudly saying that u are strong loved and now my days are full of seizures and now Graves’ disease which has affected my eyes to where I’m looking at surgery on my eyes n thyroid n funny thing is I watch I tonya a few times a days cuz I live for Margot she’s an amazingly talented young woman and u are amazingly awesome n watching u thrive tonya is so empowering to ur fellow survivors as well as other women n men n anyone who is in any type of situation that even tho we lose everything we built cuz I did myself we grew and changed and have tried to make the world a nicer kinder place. I raised 2 kids alone since I’m 23 n I look how strong both my kids are n I think of the times I felt I wouldn’t get thru I was strong for them but it actually was for me. Never let anyone dull ur shine I tell my daughter since I can remember n it’s cuz of women like u n me that helps even one person be strong it’s all worth it. 💜💜💜💜

    Any normal human being who watches this movie (which I just did) should realize that often times, we are creature of our environment, of our nurturing (or lack thereof) I'm happy for Tonya that she can find peace in this movie. She had some cards dealt against her but c'mon folks...don't most of us? don't judge.....I heard a story about Nancy Kerrigan from a VERY well known sports anchor during this time and let me tell you, she was no princess. And this was before the Disneyland stories came out....

    Her story is just heart breaking and I think that everyone should watch I Tonya and understand what happened to her. They took away her life and passion when she was barely involved but the main culprits just went to prison for a short while. This movie demonstrates that, like my old hobby ballroom and latin dancing, many things aren't as lovely as they seem and the skating is very political and the judges have favourites and often refuse to give you a fair shot!

    Oohw,... Margot Robbie really does seem such a nice, down to earth and amazingly talented person (as been described by reporters and as I suspected). It's fantastic how she gave some of Tonya's life back through this movie project... Tonya had, imo, a very unfair outcome in the court case, it ruined her skating life even though she didn't do anything wrong. I'm really happy to see everything about this movie being a success on every single level, especially on Tonya's life now.
    I wish them all the love and happiness in life, well deserved ❤️ greetings from Belgium, Vicki

    That was an awesome movie. I felt bad for Tonya (Nancy too, obviously) for the whole situation considering that had the knee thing not happened it would have been completely different. I didn't know that Tonya's still into skating, but it made me happy to hear it cause the movie made it look like she turned her back on it and that sorta broke my heart, so I'm glad that she didn't quit doing it even just for her own enjoyment.
