What a fantastic set. There's an audio bootleg I'm trying to locate of Brecker's band in 1987. Perhaps March or May of that year, I think from Fat Tuesdays or Seventh Ave South. It contained both sets in one upload and was especially notable because Kenny Kirkland was on the date (as he was on the album Mike was touring) rather than Joey Calderazzo. It was uploaded to YT approximately five years ago. It seems to be gone and I cannot locate it. Are you familiar with the recording I'm referring to?
I have one set of that April 1987 performance, but it was probably dubbed at too high levels as it has too much distortion for me to upload it here, but I did salvage a beautiful Don Grolnick tune that they played, which you can hear here: ua-cam.com/video/xU32wTD9bKE/v-deo.html
