- Port Orford is a city in Curry County on the southern coast of Oregon, United States. The population was 1,133 at the 2010 census. The city takes its name from George Vancouver's original name for nearby Cape Blanco, which he named for George, Earl of Orford, "a much-respected friend."
Great stroll down memory lane...my family moved to PO in the summer of 1961 from Coquille (I was 10). I was born in Myrtle Point and lived all of my childhood in Coos and Curry counties. I lived in PO for five amazing years...although it has been 60 years, I still remember those special places: Garrison Lake...Coast Guard Hill...the docks...Battle Rock...Bartlett's Cafe...Johnny's Cafe-home of the Wild Blackberry! Thanks for the memories!
Love it good job 😊
Nice to know the Circle K still stands, what happened to “Port and Starboard”? Nastiest pizza on earth
