I just love the look of the GH5. So many naysayers say that 4/3 isn't a "real" cinema size and that you "have" to bump up to 35mm. I listen to the naysayers -- then I look at the beauty of the GH5 footage. And the footage blows the naysayers right out of the water.
All hail the GH5 :)!! lol seriously though i'm super appreciative and in total aggreeance with you here! The GH5 is a heck of a tool and with the right technique can look just as good if not better than some "true" cinema cameras if you ask me!
Which lens did you use 0:32? and was it the same as the shot for 0:34? you did amazing on this!!
Antonio Vavalle thank you for taking the time out to watch!! The shot at 0:32 was take with the Panasonic 25mm, the shot at 0:34 is actually a drone shot (DJI Mavic Pro).
Hey,
very nice Look :)
i can't differentiate the objective. which lens did you use in sec: 0:20 - 0:27?
and 0:44 - 0:53? I think the 25mm is that correct?
Hey, thanks for respecting colors and not adding some bs blue or orange tint to what is now a beautiful video
Superb work.
Nice Video ! Wich lens did you use at 1:14 ? and wich lens is for you the best for the Gh5 ?
Montage Kep is almost certain that was shot with the Panasonic 25mm 1.4. Best lens for the GH5 really depends on your specific needs but for me personally I think the GH5 with metabones speedbooster and Sigma 18-35mm 1.4 is the best all around combo.
Thakn you ! I`m considering to buy the Olympus 12-40 mm or the Panasonic 12-35 mm what is the better choice if i want to create a film look or music videos ? You use the Olympus in the Video can you tell me what shot was with the olympus 12-40mm
Wow. This is beautiful video. Love the colours. I was thinking of buying Panasonic Leica 25mm F1/4 too. Anyway I don't know if its is worth to watch "Joo Works" videos but his tutorials are very useful. :-)
Between these two lenses which one is better than the other. What lens did you use in shot 0.20 to 0.25
The Pana 25mm is an exceptional lens!! From an aesthetic look I personally like the 25mm because when paired with an Variable ND you can get down to that F1.4 and get some nice bokeh. But if i had to choose one I would go with the 12-40. The range in focal lengths is very useful over time. Since this video Ive been almost always using the Sigma 18-35 for that specific reason. Hope that helps
Also that shot was with the Panasonic 25mm
Dope
Thank alot!! I appreciate you watching!!
Nice bro!!! Whats your settings for picture profile? CineD or V-log???? As far as saturation, contrast, noise reduction etc???
답글
gen Hong I greatly appreciate the feedback!!! I believe ive posted the settings down below in comments section. This was shot in Cine D, -5 Sat and everything else -3... Hope that helps!
amazing job!!! could you please explain the color grading process?! any luts, which program or software?
Thank You Westmont Filmz!! Cant remeber specific lut used but it was from Neumaan Films graded in Adobe PP.
Kwadwo Agyapong oh nice. The Neumaan Films GH5 Luts Pack?
Yes indeed!
This won me over. I’m buying the gh5 tomorrow
Welcome to the team!! :) The GH5 is an amazing piece of gear and there are tons of examples of what this camera is capable of. Im glad this piece helped you make a decision!
Great job with the GH5! Now i know why i purchased lol!
Shooters Touch Films it’s such a great camera!!
I know lol, upgraded from a g7 and its a major difference. Keep inspiring bro!
Beautiful Bro! your video is amazing!!! I want this camera but also your knowledge :) PLEASE! You used ND filters? which? with which shutter did you shoot? ;)
Truly appreciate your words and taking the time out to view the video Marcelo! Yes, I used a Tiffen Variable ND filter on both lenses used to shoot this. And majority of this was shot in 60p with a 125 shutter.

Amazing! whas this natural light lit only? You use the default settings in the zhiyun crane or you change something? Thank you keep doing this amazing films!
Sera ElFín yes this was lit with natural light only! And I did not use the Zhiyun crane for this video. Stabilization used is in the description
I don't know what you did to export this, or what setting you may have used but this is an amazing piece. Looks great, my gh5 doesn't even look this good lol
Noah Ziaire lol! I appreciate you taking the time out to even view the video!!
Hey I'm humble, I respect the art keep up the great work.
Excellent, thumbs up, creamy texture of colors, contrast, very cinematic, like film almost.
WOW appreciate you viewing the video Pete49327! Saw you had a question about profile... hope you got the info you were looking for!!
I did, thank you. To further comment, I am impressed with the dynamic range you got out of the gh5 in Cine D. Most of your shots here are in the sun, late or early in the day most scenes I think, which probably helped reduce noonish type contrast. Plus your exposures were probably nailed. Bottom line for me is that the gh5 can give the look of a high end sensor found on RED or Alexa with good technique and a keen eye for ideal natural lighting.
This feedback is amazing! Thank you so much... im hoping to produce more content along the same cinematic lines! The GH5 is an amazing camera and with the new updates coming end of September im hoping to push its capabilities even more!
Dope Bro!!
Kwadwo...just wanted to stop and say that I found your channel and I am truly admiring your work. Keep doing your thing bro!
Gorgeous! both the edit and the gal. lol
lol yes indeed!!! ;-)
Great shots throughout. The colours and the image rendition is really great.
Gotta have myself a GH5 sometime in the future!
great work with only native lenses!
Alan Feng thank you!!! Panasonic lenses are surprisingly very good lenses!!
Mehn this is just dope
Henrykd man i really appreciate those word!!! Much love!
mind if I ask color profile did you shoot this on? what this Vlog?
I dont mind at all! This was actually shot in the Cinelike D color profile.
was contrast and sharpness turned down?
Yes Bushido. Contrast/Sharpness/NR all -3 i believe. Saturation -5
Beautiful video!
Can you help me please with ND filters? I'm trying to choose filter density for my gh-5 and olympus 12-40 2.8
I'm planning to shoot video in sunny conditions in winter mountains with snow... Will ND64 be enough to keep 2.8 and 1/50 1/100 ?
Thanks!
Thank you for the feedback. Im sorry i can't give you advice with fixed ND's because i personally have never used them. I have only used variable ND filter (Tiffen Variable ND) and it has been enough for me in any condition I have shot in.
@@aka2045 Thanks for your answer!
amazing! Which lens did you use for the initial shot at :04?
This is brilliant ! Beautiful...
Thank you!! I appreciate you taking the time to view!
Good job, It's so cooool
shi viva thank you!!!
you should use ND's and open the aperture!
Greyscale thanks for the feedback!! Variable ND was definitely used in this short. A slightly smaller aperture was intentionally used here as I wanted to show case not only the model but the detail in the sky which was pretty amazing that day! I’ll be definitely keeping your feedback in mind for further reference though 😊
anyway it looks super)

THANK YOU!
I just rented a GH5 for testing. Even without the V_Log, it is very powerful for a DSLR.
Your video has boosted my motivation
Right on!!! The GH5 has amazing capabilities inside its compact body. I hope you enjoy your time with it and are able to create some amazing content!
Thank u man!!!
