Ponder the Pig would definitely be the main character in another story. And the beginning of this episode would be the intro to that story.
In that story, Adam would be that mentor-like side character that is only seen occasionally, but give sage advice just when Ponder needs it, before disappearing from his life seemingly forever.
Then decades later, the two get reunited as Ponder is about to take down the big bad mech hivemind. As he approaches the Hive, he'll lower his gunlink as he hears the faint voice of his mentor in his mind: "Ponder, use the Pork"

Regarding some of the Mech Lore, I've always assumed that mechanoids were some kind of archotech creation, and humans found out a way to replicate them at a lower capacity, which would also be why you can get basic mech-tech so early on in the game, you're simply replicating things that already exist. And that would also be why the mechs can so easily reconnect back to the mechhive when uncontrolled. The mechs you make **are** the exact same as the ones that the archotechs made oh so long ago.

Aren't they going to change how Automortars work so the roofing trick doesn't work anymore? I suppose this kind of run will be even harder once that goes through.*EDIT: Most likely a rumor!* Love the scyther blender, corner punch becomes corner slash!

I have seen chatters talking about it in other Rimworld streams, but if you haven't heard anything it might well be just a rumor. Which is good, I hope it's wrong. Apologies for spreading misinformation.@@AdamVsEverything

Don't you hate it when someone comes into your yard to ask for $5 and they take a bullet to the head due to the firefight that's going on the driveway and you take the blame?

Mods exist but yeah I think Rimworld could really do with some quality of life improvements, there's too many annoying issues like a pawn deciding to trek all the way across the map to pick up a chunk or clean a bit of home area you left when you claimed something and then going nuts because they're starving to death just a couple hours past their usual meal time.
Like if you know you're going to be hungry eat first idiot. A lot of issues like this can be fixed by the player sure but I don't think you should have to micromanage absolutely everything to perfection.
For instance trying to work out a good schedule for pawns who've had changes to their sleep is a total mess. I have no idea how you're meant to figure out when they'll be awake or not aside from meticulously keeping track of everything every pawn is doing and timing it all out, which is just way too much micro for me.
And also one of my favourite mods is one that changes how starvation works. It's ridiculous that they get malnutrition debuffs after missing a meal for a couple hours.
IRL you can go without food for a month or more without dying so long as you have water, Rimworld pawns would have to have absolutely no fat on them what so ever to start dying quite so fast.
One of many reasons Biotech is my favourite DLC is because mechanoids don't suffer a lot of these issues but DLC shouldn't be what fixes that. Lifters and Cleansweepers are so awesome.

Along with getting hungry going too far out, there's the "ate without a table" mood penalty. They will leave your base to go do something in the field, eat out there, then return. If they ate before leaving, or after returning, they wouldn't get the penalty. I think a good solution would be to increase the size of the food bar, and having a range where they will eat if a table is available, but wait a little longer if it isn't.
I just use biphasic schedule for everyone, that works for people who need less sleep, and means if a raid comes at a bad time of day, it will be longer before my people get tired. It is annoying how one of the worst parts of combat is just interrupting pawns' schedules, and if they have even a minor breakdown, they basically have no self-preservation. They get unhappy, and decide to wander around in the middle of a group of man-eating bears.
Hauling needs improvement, too. I use mods to allow using inventory while hauling, so they will pick up more than one light item. I also use a mod so downed colonists don't immediately empty their pockets of their carried food and drugs. It's an inventory, those should be in pockets or some kind of pack, not just held in their arms to drop.
