Thank you so much for sharing this step by step tutorial! I was looking for a tutorial for making a hexagon cardigan in a way that is explained in a "slowy" step by step and good visual way. Thank you for the hard work you put in making this wonderful tutorial. 😊 Greetings from the Netherlands.
What a beautiful cardigan. I've decided to crochet my first hexagon cardigan,(my yarns were delivered this morning, thank you Dirk for your excellent service as always) although I've crochet other hexagons projects before. Love the colours, and Anja's clear tutorial. Thank you very much Anja.xx
Received my yarn from Dirk this morning and I’ve started this cardigan already, your designs are always so easy to follow and appreciate all the hard work that goes into them. Love the Look books that go with your designs too xx💕
Finally I have a pattern I can use my Marble Chunky with - I’ve had it for many years and didn’t know what to do with it. Thank you. Going to start it this weekend. I’d be an xxl so hope I can adjust easily per your pattern.
Wonderful Miryana! The resizing really is simple, just watch the video through completely and you will find all the information. Thank you very much, Anja x
I love this sweater. I am a rank beginner just now but this gives me the inspiration to keep practicing and progressing in difficulty so I can make the hexagon cardigan. Maybe I will know enough to start it in a few months.
I’m a recreational with crochet for years. I am finally delving into learning all the abbreviations for stitches and undergoing projects that call for stitches that I had not yet used. I was always a basic few stitch creator of things, blankets, slippers, hats, shawls that’s it. Now I’ve branched out beyond ss, sc, 1/2dc,dc,tc, c1 lol. Clothing is what I’ve always wanted and certainly cardigans. This video tutorial you made would I be able to exclusively watch and crochet along and be successful? If I can and do well I want to purchase your pattern for future projects in the future so I have a pattern tutorial also.
Hello kindredinspirit, how long it takes really depends on you, how much you can do at a time, how fast you crochet etc, it is very difficult to say, I'm sorry. Thank you for your interest, Anja x

Hi Anja, just so pretty! I definitely want to try this beauty! Have never made a cardi before, like the dc cluster granny patterns a lot… Is your chunky yarn considered a size 4 weight in U S??? Or a #5? Also are you using a hook size 6 J in U S??? Your designs are fabulous!! Love the outdoor scenes you select to model!! So glad I’ve found you!! You are a delight!💗
I've been thinking about making an hexi for a while now and watched few videos. I've chosen yours because your tutorial is perfect and your garments exquisite! I'm not intimidated anymore and feel confident I can do it. However I'm petite and don't wear chunky garments. Would it be alright to do this in a dk yarn? Thank you 🙂.
Thank you for your lovely comment, of course you can make this using DK weight yarn, you may have to do more rounds. I made my first one using DK yarn ua-cam.com/video/LbLoFhrnbYk/v-deo.htmlsi=twxGciAUMIFX7ZdD Anja x
Hello Patty, you could, but the measurements and stitch counts will all be different, so make sure you take that into account, or you'll be making one to fit a child!! Thank you, Anja x
Hi Anja. I love your version of the hexagon cardigan. I just finished one following another crocheter's tutorial. When I did mine, I chained one between each cluster of three and chained two on the corners. Does this make much of a difference to the finished cardigan? Is there a reason that you did it without chains between clusters of three? I would like to try it your way. I like the way you decrease sleeves, which are normally way to big. Thank you!
Hi Anja! I’m starting this cute cardigan. If I want a kimono sleeve, in other words a straight sleeve, do I just continue on without the decreases? Also no cuff. Thank you!
I'm stuck on decreasing the sleeves. When you say it decreases by 1 cluster is that 1 cluster each side of the stitch marker or dis it 1 cluster per row, so 13, 12, 11 etc
After row 3 of the sleeve to decrease, you say to do clusters all the way across but can you elaborate on the ends? You started row 3 by chaining 2 and turning, then DC, then clusters.... does the end of the row space require just 1 DC because the starting space has 2? I'm not sure quite. Then, to repeat rows 1-3, I chain 2 turn, then how many to start? I'm stuck on the transitions, from row 3 to row 1 again. Thank you! Great video! EDIT: After "4 lots" of decreasing, I think I figured it out. Row 2 ends differently than Row 3.
@@OpheliaTalks I went through it a time or two first, yes, but of course restarted some sections multiple times - each time as I decreased. Wonderful tutorial, thank you for sharing!!
I love this cardigan! I’m about 10 rows into first half. Could you give a measurement for the length of the sides when you are at the fourteen rows? Without a gauge swatch I’m not sure what the measurement should be. Thank you! 🦋
Hello stitchaspell, this is a garment, and I measure it against myself, so there is no standard way of how big it should be. It should be the size you require it to be so keep on trying to make the sleeve by pinning it together and just sliding it onto your arm to see to where it comes! I hope this helps, thanks, Anja x
could you tell me when starting the the marble Hexagon cardigan .when we do chains at the being on the 2 row ,you say do 2 chains ,as its trebles uk its 3 chains or do we just do 2chains

@ejuneh I'm not sure what you're asking, please can you clarify? Of course you can do this in other yarn weights, it's just that you'd have to adjust the stitch count, or it will come up small enough for a child!! Thank you, Anja x
