It's how she control her working thread and tension. We usually use the methods of the one who taught us. It's not crazy at all, it's just different. Look at her beautiful , even work on the blue sweater. It certainly would show uneven stitching or loose stitches or mistakes. You do you while she does what works for her. I happen to be left-handed, my way is different. Nobody ever complained about it to me. I'm very grateful she is such a good teacher and doesn't assume every one is so experienced they don't need her clear explanation and tips. I watched a lot of tutorials before I started, hers met my personal needs the best. Look forward to more patterns from her.
I'm new to crochet...maybe a year...and am making 2 of this sweater. I've looked at practically every Hex video on UA-cam and while some are very similar...it's the way you end rounds (the half corner) that is easiest for me. The other ones have way too much slip stitching going on...alot of extra stitches for nothing. I'm doing one in Lion Brand Heartland Grand Canyon...and the other in Loops&Threads Soft Classic Black. We'll see which one I finish first...but whatever one wins the race is my Christmas present to me!! Great video...thanks!
Awwww that you and I am glad you like my tutorial more. For a beginner, you are doing a complex project. I target beginners with my step by step tutorials. And by the way, I am beginning to work on Christmas projects and at least one will be a present for me too. I hope you like them when you are finished 🥰♥️🥰
Thank you so much!! Love your tutorials!! I love the solid blue (my favourite color) you have chosen and the style!! It looks so pretty on you!! After the solid blue, looking forward to how you do it in the two colors!!🫶🤗🌹🇨🇦
That is another way to tension your yarn. Everyone has different ways to hold their hook and to hold their yarn. My auntie from Dominica, taught me to crochet that way, but I had difficulty holding the hook and winding the yarn that way. Have to go with what works for you, no way is wrong or crazy.
Thank you for saying that. Some people think I do it wrong and it’s frustrating to have to explain that holding yarn and or hook is a personal preference
This was one of the best tutorials i have seen about a hexagon cardigan. One side of the hexagon, i did clusters of 2dc instead of 3dc, so that my sleeve is smaller from the start. Tx
I love this sweater, and it was so easy to follow. I'm going to put a button on mine at the bottom and make me a hat to match. This was so awesome. You make it so easy to crochet. Thank you ❤❤❤
Hi I just subscribed what a gorgeous cardigan love the plain colour I love the idea of the hexagon.thankscso much look forward to watching all your tutorials .💖💖
Thank you so much for your very clear instructions. I'm already making a third hexagon cardigan, for me and 2 friends of mine. You are a wonderful teacher!❤
I'm new to your video thank you for your work , enjoying your videos taking notes , learning a lot from you thank you for sharing your a good teacher !
Tiah thank you so much for your wonderfully clear tutorial, I now feel able to attempt this lovely pattern. Ps I don't care in the slightest how you, choose to hold your hook or your yarn, not sure why anyone would - just grateful that you freely give your time to produce great content ✨
Wonderful! And I know you can do it 👍 and thanks for your support in the matter above. It sure was not what I was expecting. This is how I hold my yarn and I will never change it. Sad that someone is hell bent on making it look like I am doing something terrible 😞
Wonderful tutorial. Your version is so nice with the extra space in the back for the neck and the ribbing on the front finishes the whole sweater. Thank you for all the time you put into this tutorial.
Love this! Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial and sharing your talent with us. 💗. Love how you did the seaming as well. So beautiful. ❣️
I'm so glad this video popped up. I just subscribed and shared it on pinterest. I hope that helps your channel.❤ I solid blue color. But I like the flare sleeve on the other one. ❤️ Thank you so much for sharing your talent.❤
You simply ROCK. Thank you so very much for your support. Not often do I get people who take action to help me with this channel. I provide free content for all to benefit from. So I am emotional for the extra steps you have taken to help me out. Thank you 🙏♥️🙏
Thank you for this tutorial. I just finished this project and it looks gorgeous. And it is my very first project, your explanation was so detailed, it was easy to follow
I am going to try and crochet the same sweater as you have all so your sweater is very gorgeous and I only been crocheting different kinds of granny squares and I have not been getting items done for myself
New to your channel and also subscribed!! Love the way you taught!!! Both sweaters are beautiful but the blue caught my eye as I was going through UA-cam 😊. I'm looking forward to making this for myself. Thank you for sharing your talent!!!
I’m really hoping this time I can be more than a spectator😂, love ,love watching, but being able to do it is another thing🙃, you make it look so simple. Nice work and video, thanks for sharing I really hope I can do this one. Just genius the sleeves
Great class. Loved the way you teach and the way you showed how to continue after the sleeve. In general the classes I saw there is no clear explanation about. They simply continue too large sleeves. Thanks for sharing.
This is an excellent tutorial. I'm wondering if you have suggestions for adapting for buttons and button holes rather than the ribbed FPDC, BPDC edging. Thank you!
If you want longer do you just granny stitch across the bottom as many times as needed for more length then add the double crochet then the front post back post band?
Lovely! Thank you for the weight 3 pattern. I have Bernat Softee Cotton #3 in my stash. Do you think it would be an appropriate substitute for the acrylic?
It’s beautiful, and my favorite color💙💙 everyone has their own style of crocheting, which makes them comfortable. That doesn’t make it crazy. Geez some people!!!
@simplyangeltiah9691 it's okay. The back ribbing is a challenge. I also changed colors so I am not sure how to add it but I knotted it lol The front is so easy, lol but it looks great wish I could send a pic also the length is a little short it was not as tight at the bottom but everything turned out great

This is an excellent tutorial. I'm wondering if you have suggestions for adapting for buttons and button holes rather than the ribbed FPDC, BPDC edging. Thank you!
Yes, absolutely. You can definitely use buttons. The ribbing stitches are also loose enough for buttons to go through
❤loving the finger wrap👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🫶🏽😁👋🏽🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🇺🇸
Well, thank you 🙏 🥰🥰🥰
If you want longer do you just granny stitch across the bottom as many times as needed for more length then add the double crochet then the front post back post band?
Yes absolutely. If you struggle, I did a video on how to do that. It’s on the channel
Beautiful ❤️

If you are making larger sizes. Do you adjust the number of extra rows added to the back to allow for the neck?
Exactly. The more rows you do the larger it will get. This is a small
