After watching this video, I am even more confused about flat flashlight. You were all over the place about the flashlights at times I was unsure about which flashlight you were even talking about. But I must say thank you because I was even unaware of flat flashlights so now I can do some research on my own. Thank you once again
Are you aware the Olight has a 1 lumen mode? When the light is off, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. It'll turn on the TRUE moonlight mode. 1 lumen. After that u can press and hold to rotate through low, medium, high, double tap turbo, and triple tap strobe.
@theNillaLenape Chinese, yes. But to say they're trash is a bit out of touch. I'm not a fan but I do own a few. It's streamlight and surefire for weapon lights but I do use olight for work and they work extremely well. As for customer service, I've also had great experiences. They shipped a $300 order to my old address and sent another order to my current address. Needless to say, I ended up with both orders. But that's just my experience.
My stiletto cracked in half too. My stiletto pro doesn't work in medium brightness when the battery is low. Surefire has gone downhill in the last few years. They used to stand for bombproof reliability. 😢
@@overlandedc I think it's just bullshit from flashlight manufacturers to fool consumers so that you keep spending money on them to replace the batteries or buy a new model every few years. Because logically they should be able to make a relatively slim flashlight using AA, AAA or even AAAA batteries.
@@overlandedcThat means you don't know the existence of the "RovyVon Angel Eyes E30" because apart from having a built-in 900mAh battery, the flashlight is also compatible with 2 × AAA (1.2V and 1.5V), 3.7V 10440 li-ion batteries, or 1x 10880 3.7V li-ion batteries. The E30 was introduced in late December 2023 but RovyVon has been making flat keychain flashlights compatible with AAA batteries since 2021.
I've had 2 arkfelds and now have the edc27 uhi. I must say for me that the edc27 uhi just suites my needs better. Glad I waited though for the uhi version since it has more candela. Good vid
Haven’t used the UHI but had the regular EDC27. Preferred my SureFire Stiletto Pro by a mile and gave the EDC27 away as a gift. The 27 had poor quality buttons and the emitter had terrible heat dispersion. I do wonder if the UHI did anything about either of these issues.
I personally would rather have my new EDC 29 over the Surefire stiletto pro 2 any day. Surefire acts like their products are plated in gold or something. I would never pay $350 for a light that underperforms my hundred-dollar Nitecore
@@IanPREVAILA1 I’ll pick up the EDC29 soon and try them side by side. The EDC27 had over twice the advertised lumens but the Pro II massively outperforms it in person. Advertised numbers have failed to provide real world information for decades now. But I did like the Nitecore UI and screen, so I’m happy to try out the 29 and see if it’s answered my complaints with the 27. As for price complaints, I don’t mind. $350 doesn’t seem like too much to me when I spend 500-600 on knives a couple times a year.
Good vid. ArkFELD. Not ArkFIELD. Agree with Arkfeld's lack of a tail switch making it less tactical, but this is titled an EDC light vid. And it does offer magnetic attachment. You missed the true moonlight of 1 lumen on the Arkfeld. 15 lumens is away too bright for a nightstand light to preserve night vision. 1 lumen or sub-1 lumen for this. Also, I recommend any comparisons include a clear discussion of the lumen outputs and associated run times. This is especially true for flashlights with non replaceable batteries. It was a little hard to hear you stating which lights you were showing in many places, even with laptop at full volume, and there was a lot of flashing off/on, and overlapping of beams. Great selection of lights for this. My choice if only one would be the Nitecore despite it's size, but not for nightstand since lacking a moonlight mode.

I’m glad you made this video. I edc the olight and I’m very happy with it but being a bit of a gear head I’ve been tempted to shop around.

That’s cool, but they are a trash Chinese brand that doesn’t care about their consumers.

The surefire is the best for me, its a tough light and the pioneer of flat lights
Nice lights. I just prefer one that I can change the battery in.
Ya you won’t find that in this form factor

@cdrom1070 actually Rovyvon has an option that is multi-fuel
@cdrom1070 not sure haven’t got my hands on one yet

@@I_Might_B_Wrong the buttons are definitely more tactile. I haven't felt like it's gotten overly hot either.
@@jeremiahsr1984 That's good to hear! Maybe I'll pick up the UHI in the next few weeks for fun. Still recovering from ordering a Stiletto Pro 2 lol

I use a lot of Olight but I like the the wedge xt super light
Forget that mf is in my pocket fr
Check out our Pocket Flare 2.0 mini-flashlight.
The Arkfeld is so good in so many ways.

Typical Chinese flashlight glazer.
Ill forget and try to puff on one
I think surefire will warranty that.
You are missing the absolute best EDC flat light....the wurrkos HD01.
Wasn’t out when I made this and the best is the RovyVon Angel Eyes series
