Obesity isn't an insult its literally a medical diagnosis, to say that offends you is wildly self absorbed. Thats like me challenging the diagnosis of depression, as if it was solely invented just to insult and offend me. If you're offended by the doctors diagnosis, you should be just as offended to look yourself in the mirror. Stop playing the victim and work on bettering yourself. Denial isn't gonna help you lose any weight, or feel any better when you next go for a check up.

True, but BMI isn’t the best indicator of health. It only uses weight, not where the fat is located.
“Fat stored around the hips generally isn't associated with the same health problems as belly fat. In fact, a recent review in the British Medical Journal found larger waist measurements were associated with health risks, but larger hip and thigh measurements were not.”

Addicts have the tendency to defend their addictions
They won’t hesitate going great lengths to make the opponent feel inferior
The reason so many people are obese is because they focus on the short term instant gratification that food gives rather than facing reality which is time itself on what you do on a daily basis effects who you are as a person living the one life you have
    As piers Morgan once’s said
    Eat less exercise more

That's wonderful, and everyone should be like that. But sugary and fatty foods are addictive like smoking and like taking drugs. This addiction happens very gradually, as you do start eating something sugary or fatty. And most overweight people are in fact addicts. And for the majority of those overweight people, it will take external guidance to permanently help them off their attraction towards unhealty foods.

Eat less and move more should be the way. And these plus size models can sometimes give away toxic body positivity which is harmful.

I remember when I was overweight and I would eat a lot of crap. I used to tell my mom, "I'm so fat." I expected her to say, "You're beautiful just the way you are." Instead, she told me to lose weight and start eating healthy. At first, I used to get mad at her because of her honesty. However, beginning of 2023, I looked at my body and said, "You know what, I'm going to start eating better and working out more." I lost about 19 pounds, feel confident and happy, motivated, and active. I'm feeling much better than before. Being overweight and eating crap was horrible and it affected my life. Even when sometimes I don't workout because I'm lazy or going out, I feel guilty.

I'm currently 19, around the age of 5 I was diagnosed with a probably lifetime-illness, which caused me to rapidly gain weight. I had to take medicine every day and visit the doctor every third month.
Then all of a sudden, it disappeared, i could stop taking medications, but I was left with 100kg at the age of 15-16.
The fattest I was was 103kg actually. I know it's crazy.
Now I am 87-88, in the past month I dropped 4-5 kgs, doing nothing but eating less meanwhile working more. Not gym or anything, but I work in a bakery with my dad and for three weeks I could work more, often 15-17 hours shifts. I had only breakfast and lunch in the late afternoon, that was it.
The backpain I occasionally had disappeared as I lost weight, and I am way more comfortable than before.
Personally I dont think there's a huge problem with being a BIT overweight, but being extremely overweight and claiming that this is normal, I'd say this is a mental issue now.

Overweight is not healthy. That is not an opinion. Period. Can you be happy overweight? Yes. Can being overweight on a front cover of a fashion magazine sensationalize obesity? Yes. Is it reasonable for a person to accept being overweight and be happy about themselves? Yes.
They are arguing two different points. And both are right. Bottom line: Be happy with yourself, while accepting overweight is not healthy. Also, the main job of a plus size model is to model plus size clothing so plus size people can see what it looks like. Most plus size models are not "advertising obesity" ... they are advertising clothing.

They are discussing two points and fighting about it, Piers point is that the woman on the Cover of the magazine is a bad image to future girls (or people actually), the other point is people accepting their bodies (the other side). I agree with both points, each person is responsible for their selves, and having someone like that lady on a cover magazine is wrong. Young people are not yet able to understand life, so they may let themselves go and think it is acceptable. Most people reach that stage because they are not taught right in a young age. (I'm one of them- I have few extra pounds on my and trying to loose them for two reasons: health and body image), I don't go calling people fat or shaming them for being over weight, even when talking about this subject, I always refer to myself, what I want to do or how I feel, I don't say that everyone should be like this or that. People should be able to recognise the different points raised and argue that. In other video Piers mentioned that this lady (or other one) should be in a video where she encourages healthy eating and exercise and not in a music video....

It’s like everyone’s seen the clip somewhere else 4 years later, and we’ve all ended up here all finally putting comments on 😂😂 piers is 100% correct though, it’s just women again not accepting the truth and the reality of the world, obese women especially always want to like in a make believe land where there’s no heart clogs, failure, strokes, cancer etc and think they won’t have any health conditions in the future and continue to look at their size as fine, all of them sat there making excuses, the only one to back piers up was the Dr., even when an actual doctor spat facts out they couldn’t accept it, are world is going down hill quickly as each year passes!

Obese is a medical term. Apologies can be made for how it has been thrown around and if it has made someone feel poorly, but it is a medical term and obesity is dangerous.

Being obese is not the same as someone who is size 12 or 14 which may due to diet but also genetics, body shape. Obesity is something else and unhealthy.

If you are going to glamorise obesity you might as well glamorise type 2 diabetes, heart disease, strokes, fatty liver . Instead of putting morbidly obese on magazine cover . You should put a sign that just says " Diabetes" on the front. These people should research what can happen to diabetics - blindness, amputations, strokes . Nothing glamorous about that.

No one should degrade another for being obese, but no one should accept it as healthy as it is MEDICALLY PROVEN to be unhealthy.
Unless u step on a scale, it says a big number, but you're just muscular not fatty, otherwise the big numbers on scale is never healthy.

Being Fat is not a good feeling no matter how people say it doesn't. After 2 children, I gained weight. I saw myself on a picture and I felt really bad. I had a thyroid problem and I lost a lot of weight. I feel better being a 8 or 10 with my self image.
