@@GS-ju3sr Botox and makeup are not unhealthy and will not eventually kill her with serious heart or diabetes issues. Ignoring this issue only encourages young kids to stop becoming aware of how unhealthy and obese they're becoming until it's way beyond their control and it becomes almost impossible to lose that weight for the rest of their lives. It's very difficult to get rid of large amounts of weight when you've let it go too far and it can be with you for the rest of your life.

Now I try to work out here and there and be more active. I never cared about what people said. But in the back of my mind I was always disgusted with myself. Just because I knew I was unhealthy. I didn’t realize how out of shape I was until I learned that it’s not normal to feel like dying going up stairs. The greatest feeling ever was going up 4 flights of stairs and not dry heaving lol. This chick is simply trying to capitalize off of it and drive more publicity for money. I was fat and it certainly was a disease I put upon myself. I was an athlete when i was younger. When i started law school, i started eating snacks while studying and quit the gym. I didnt realise my weight gain until my grandmother shamed me in front of my family and told me i lost it.
Instead of canceling my granny, i quit snacks, i didnt eat dinner, i picked up sports and i lost 30% of my weight in 6 months and im back to a healthy BMI.
Im thankful to my granny for fat shaming me.

Shame is a natural feeling, it makes us change our behavior. But it's also about the dose.
Her and people like her brings us awareness. It's better than them hiding and pretending to bot exist. And this discussion is also needed.

As someone who was actually bullied and singled out by my own aunt who would say things at family parties infront of people like "If you eat that you will get fat!" every time! Even when I had just gotten there and was eating the first bite. That is what I lived with for years she also told me that I was fat and ugly unlovable and that no man would ever want me! So to me that is fat shaming.
The dif between telling someone they are unhealthy and that you are worried about them is dif than what my aunt did to me. So fat shaming is not the right word to use. I don't know how she thought she was gonna help me. She claimed years later she was trying to keep me from being like her in school!
She caused me to become an emotional eater it was the only outlet before her bullying tactics I was not as into food. I was 90 lbs at 12 years old not fat at all and with a good appetite. Not too much food! Then my hormons hit and so did thyroid issues. I gained a little weight and then she started in on me.
People need to understand that words have an affect on people even years later. I topped 300 lbs in October of last year. In December at the end of the month for a whole month I wa sick with the flu pretty much bedridden. I lost 34 lbs before I even knew it. God proved to me that I could lose weight. I kept taking out things that were bad like soda and candy and chips to start with. Added more and more to it.
I have lost a total of 51 lbs! I'm going for a total of 99 lbs now.! I know I can do this with God's help! I feel so much better folks there is such a dif between the me in Oct and me now! I have hope and I have control over my own body I am no longer a victim of emotional eating. Just take care how you tell someone you love that they need to lose weight. Especially a teenager.

"You being less fat than me doesn't make a...you know..." she can't even finish that sentence, she knows its BS.
How fat you are is at the essence of the issue. If you are okay with being a little fat than its your choice and should be respected but if you are fat to the point that it becomes a medical condition that puts your life and wellbeing at risk then it becomes a really bad thing that you need to avoid.

@@butu26890 because you can't see it.
In the end the super skinny and the super obese meets at the same point: it's obvious!
The deeper depressed who cries and says how they're feeling is obvious but not those who hides and smiles.
If it's not obvious, if you're not aware of those stuff you simply don't pay attention or do anything.
That's why there's so many problems we let grow. And that's human nature.
Not meaning we can't do anything, but that's comprehensible.
Even knowing someone is bad if they stop talking about it I personally forget, until I remind.
The thing is keeping our awareness, sharing it, build the habit of questioning. It's something that takes emotional and intelectual energy. Not everyone have the opportunity to enter in contact with it, or to put it into practice. Some don't have the resources or enough reason to do it.
But we just need to make it become subconscious to people, if 2% of the population makes it bigger enough the ones who can't or simply don't think bout those issues will simply take it as common sense.
Still it's a long way to go.

I agree with Piers and the other guest on the panel. I was anorexic an there's no way I would want to see an underweight model in a music video. I was very uncomfortable when the fashion industry had underweight models walking the runway. Glamorizing obesity is also sending the wrong message. What is wrong with glamorizing healthy bodies.
I love Piers! Good for him for not backing down.

In my opinion, she didn't really manage to respond to Piers Morgan effectively. The argument here is that just because she's in a video doesn't mean she's encouraging others to be like her. If that was the case, we’d have to hide all obese people, as well as the sick, those who are struggling, and anyone who doesn't fit a specific model. By that logic, we'd all have to be blonde, thin, and tall.
