thank you so much, i have had a beautiful Pounamu that i have been meaning to tie for over 10yrs and i bought the Leather for it more than 5. Today i got it done and am so happy. thanks mate.
Thanks for this video. I have a Sterling silver Christmas ornament from the 1970s that my mom gave me and wanted to add it to a black leather cord to make into a unique necklace. Thanks for the advice on the thickness and for the detail in the knot. All other videos I found are slide knots and that's "knot" what I wanted. lol I used 3mm cord and was able to do it first try, all nice and neat, and perfectly at 24" long. It looks great now. I'm very curious to know, what type of coins or tokens did you add to this piece? Thanks again!
Yay! Thank you so much for this! I have excellent spatial reasoning and pattern recognition, but I am lost when I have find the method without knowing the name, lol
I’m needing to do more of a knot and loop style of knotting on the back of mine, because I do tighter lady necklaces. And those need to be connected when on the human. Any ideas on good knots for that? I know I could just do a basic knot for one, and maybe a fisherman’s on the loop side. But I was hoping someone else might have found a better one they have tested.
@@p1nesap Hahaha no worries! ♥️ I ended up going with a knot style I used to use a lot as a teen, when making hemp necklaces. It worked quite nicely, and produced a clean result. Basically I just did one side with a simple knot, to create the catch side. Then did a single fisherman’s knot on the other side, to produce the loop. So the end result is a hook and loop attaching for the necklace. So that a lady can wear it tight like a choker. :)
When you do a tutorial on something like how to tie a no slip not on some thing like this leather that you were using, next time try to not zoom in so close and take it by steps and not rush it. No idea what your first move was already lost you there. Not criticizing your methods or anything, just would like to see this done step-by-step clearly.
Update: here's a clearer demo of the knot ua-cam.com/video/SCY4NndVjvI/v-deo.html
I knew the knot that I wanted. I knew what it looked like but I just couldn't remember how to tie it. Thanks so much. Perfect for what I needed.
Thank you! Easier than I thought. Very well explained!
I appreciated finding a way to make a corded pendant without having to use any hardware.

Wow neat are you in New Zealand?
Really wish you could explain when you start to begin the knot. It’s not entirely easy to follow.

What else would you like?
Where to go, or what to know, for getting leather cord?
I get it on eBay.
Thank you, very good video.
This video is not helpful at all because it starts off considering someone who knows the initial position of your pendant and leather.
Check my updated vid in description, much better.
Hi Paul, just discovered your channel and love how you explained how to make these knots. Tfs. New like and subscriber. Friday 7/23/2021.
Awesome. I wear a rose quartz crystal just about every day with that knot.
