I add the vinegar when making the broth not after. It helps leech the calcium and other trace minerals from the bones and into the broth.

Yes I was gonna say this until I saw you mentioned it.
I usually use apple cider vinegar but I’ve also used regular white vinegar and sometimes I use fresh lemon slices (chicken bone broth) as I think it gives it a nice zing and I heard it’s the acidity that helps extract nutrients from the bone (which lemon juice has).

I haven't made beef bone broth, in years...one thing...add the vinegar before you put the bones and such, in the slow cooker...vinegar helps to leach the marrow from the bones....marrow gives more flavor

A great tip is to add a jalapeno! If you like spice, just score the skin (don't even bother chopping it). If you prefer no spice at all, don't score the skin. The whole pepper just adds a certain something to it!

My two cents for anyone interessted:
    1) if you find it boring or don't want to drink that much broth without anything, just make crepes or thin pancakes, cut them in thin maybe 1.5 inch long stripes and add them to your soup bowl before reheating it.
    2) I think if you're sick, you should not take off all the fat since your body needs some source of energy even if you may lay in bed doing nothing.

Your two cents worth of 3 years ago became my 10c answer. 🌹 I'm new to this and would like to use it in my daily life minus the drinking part lol. @@metoo3039 you're welcome. I total understand your engagement.
For the beginning is recommend you to get some ready to mix broth powder (really bad term, I'm from Germany) and prepare it with warm/hot/boiling water in a cup/bowl that is safe for the heat of the liquid you're going to pour in. The powder is pretty cheap so in case you prepare more than needed, it's not that bad. With the prepared broth - which isn't much of a quality loss compared to homemade beef broth, you can cook any recipe and you'll learn how much you need.

Adding the vinegar has nothing to do with acidity; add vinegar BEFORE you cook to ensure the breakdown of the bone marrow, thus bringing more nutrients to the broth and a much better flavour.

ask the butcher to hit the bones with the sharpest tool they have just to cut into each one so the marrow shows to allow the water to reach the marrow and try it without vinegar. you will never use vinegar again after that :)

Add the venegar with your bones bc the vinegar (or lemon juice) helps extract the nutrients from the bones into the water. I agree with adding roasted vegables, but not at the same time as the bones. I cook bones for an entire day (in slow cooker on high during the day and on low through the night) and then add roasted veggies for the last 6 hours and parsley for the last 1-2 hours. Add salt and/or a little tomato paste to bones before roasting them and you'll get the best flavor.
