He was an amazing person and hockey player. He was always there for the fans. That’s what matters. Today’s players are all about the money. He will be missed. RIP Guy my childhood idol thanks for the memories.

Simply put... they'll never be another Guy Lafleur. Heros are remembered... but legends never die. Guy Lafleur lives on in eternity in La Belle Province.

It has been 31 years ago that the Canadians won their last Stanley Cup . Now over 30 teams play lifeless clone hockey .
I'm 65 years of age , I began watching hockey at the age 5 ( 1964 ) . Jean Beliveau of the Canadians was the Man of the 60's and then in 1970 came Ti-Guy Lafleur . It took 3 years and the disposal of his helmet before he could feel at home and there was no stopping him from that moment until 1980 . I consider myself a very fortunate person to have lived Stanley moments
and parades on Ste-Catherine's blvd and to have watched the most spectacular player in the history of hockey . When they closed the old Montreal Forum to open the new Bell Center , I retired from hockey ! Vive Guy Lafleur . So

hey Steve, I can concur...we would go to games at the Forum NOT wondering IF the Canadiens were going to win, but rather by HOW MUCH....a classmate said to me, after the 1977 Cup win, "let's go to the parade"...that would have meant skipping class (grade 9), which I did not want to do, so I said "it's ok, I'll go NEXT YEAR"....that is how incredibly dominant that Canadiens team was

In my teens in the seventies. Back in those days, we did not wonder if Montreal was going to win the cup, we wondered .

This short homage is very well done. One of the best. Thanks to those who made it happen.

Bruins fan. Guy was incredible. Bobby, Guy, Mario..were heralded before their NHL careers...these three lived up.to and beyond anything we could have imagined. They're three greatest I've ever seen..with Chicago's #9 and Your #4. But my opinion means shit.
