I both admired his skill and hated how he always seemed to play his best when he played against my Boston Bruins. In spite of all the times he beat us, I couldn't help but respect him. What a loss for the hockey world. RIP Guy. ❤
I grew up watching the Habs of the 70's win all those cups and on the edge of my seat when Lafleur touched the puck. He was exciting to watch and clutch when it counted a true legendary player. RIP Guy!
Does anybody remember the episode when a child was stabbed by a man when he was wearing the number 10 CH shirt? Then Guy Lafleur contacted the family. Later, when the child had recovered, Guy invited him to the CH skating ring and skated with the child on his shoulders. Nobody mentions that great gesture from this hockey hero. Please!!!
You would grip your chair or stand up whenever Guy Lafleur would skate down the ice with the puck !!! He just had a way of scoring whenever we needed it !!! That how true legends do !!! The best player on the best team ever !!! R.I.P Sir Guy !!!
I will be the first to say, what an ICON Guy Lafleur, I loved watching him play hockey, he was an awesome stick handle and skaterr! Hall of Famer, what a HOCKEY PLAYER.! He was only 70, that is so young! God Bless him, I was so proud of him being Canadian, French Candian and the BEST! RIP TO THE GREAT LAFLEUR! Condolences to his family & friends. 💐💐💐 🏒🥅 🏆 🙏🏻
Remember that kid in Calgary who got stabbed ? On TV Lafleur called him and said ' i'll score a goal for u tonight and sent u the puck " . Think about it , not 'if ' or " ill try and score for u " That , is a superstar. Btw he scored action halted while he retrieved the puck and wrote a note
RIP Mr. Lafleur my first pair of Bauer tuck blade skates were the Lafleur model oh I disliked him being a Leafs fan but as I grew older I came to respect his talent. I feel old today as the guys I grew up watching in the 70s and 80s are passing. To loose both Bossy and now Lafleur in a week is gut punch to us that grew up in 70 and 80s.
...I bought the skates he endorsed back in the day, I was so proud of them. He's still my hero. RIP Guy.....
❤️ NHL hockey before wayne gretezy

I have a guy lafleur hockey card, I have kept it all these years. I'm happy I did. Brings back a lot of great memories.

The most dynamic player on the best hockey team of the 70s. One of Quebec's superpowers ... world-class hockey players.

I was born on the 10th, grew up in the east end and my hockey# was always 10. Merci Guy, tu est un gars du chez nous. You were the best!
Excellent coverage Suhana. Well done. He will be missed.
That story that Finn shared at the end is what separates the legends from the men. Lafleur was a legend.
Truly a Golden Boy during his time. I recall he used to smoke between periods which was weird even back then. It caught up to him, sad.
Very few gentlemen sportsman...he was one of them..true legend has left us☹️
Such sad news, such an amazing player. He always was his best against the Bruins.
Even is Bruin’s fans grew to appreciate the incredible talent and skill this man possessed, especially his seemless skating style. He will be missed.
Like all the great legends he must have felt good having so many fans all over. He was great. Oh Gosh

Shame Guy’s addiction to cigarettes shortened his life.

70 is not that old. He was still strong. The news are shocking. He should have taken better care of himself. This is sad.
