This could work nice with under used 2hand sword troops! Doing this with dopple, hospitaler, samurai. Dopple in particular have an insane card that kills it speed for insane buff in age 4. Even the maceman from inca could use this❤
Exactly! We considered all of these for the strategy. The reason we ended up going with aztec in our particular iteration is because it applies to over half their units. Warrior priests, pumas, skull knights, Jaguar prowlers, and EVEN catotes, who are generally treated as cav, allowing got a heavy infantry/heavy cav combo to be ubered together
Just to make a point... the farm upgrades of native civs boost all food gather, including hunt and berry. People forget that natives get more food from hunts then other civs after the farm upgrades.
Crazy thing about Aztecs is there tempo, so if you manage your shipment right you can squeasy Agrarian Ways there in FF and semiFF. That and Aztec Mining are really under used.
while im not personally huge on argarian ways, simply due to the fact that i think it's outclassed in important compared to SO many other important age 3 shipments (smoking mirror, 5 WP, all the support cards, knight combat, 8 vills, ect) that i rarely ever send it contrarily, i love aztec mining and make room for it in 90% of my decks

Oh I'm aware, I just generally don't find it with the 400 wood investment, at least early on
