Please take time out to read. First off, Parallel is asking for $99/yr for us to be able to use their program, so it's not free. If yes, how do I go about this? and even if I pay the one time payment which we were told won't allow us to do future update, and other option is to pay about the same amount yearly but, we will be able to do future updates, now, If I go with the 1-time payment, does this mean I won't be able to code the car models that are already listed in the program or what? what will the lack of future update keep me from doing? please explain in details so as to know If I'm not being tricked into buying something I don't need.
Secondly, I was able to get the Mike's easy BMW Tool installed on my Mac and all the programs running and waiting for my interface USB K+DCAN cable to arrive, but, I'm lost, I opened the NCExpert in my C drive and couldn't find the FSW_PSW file so as to add the ".man" ending to the notepadfile so I added the .man to the end of one other file called ASW1. Will this work?
And since you said we don't need the Coding Profile and that the NC Dummy will work just fine, do I still need to do all these FSW_PSW thing or I can just skip them all and get to coding soon as my cable arrives? so those are my two questions: the subscription and the skipping of FSW_PSW.man process.
I will greatly appreciate if you take your time out to explain these things in details.
Hi, when I try to add the coding profile in PFL folder and I open NCS Expert all I see is 2 default.pfl NCSDUMMY4.PFL and a text document that says Profile. Also when I go to the WORK Folder I only see ABLAUF.TRC, ASW1.TRC AND ASW2.TRC nothing like what you show in this video. Meet me know how I can fix this. Thanks
fort he fsw_psw.trc just open up a blank text file and save them as .trc and .man far as the two profile showing up, if you really want to use codinprofile, move the current expertmode profile from the folder put the new one, then load profile and edit and change the name then put the old profile back in the folder. BUT you can use ncsdummy profile works the same
I was having trouble opening up BMW Coding Tool, I followed the instructions you provided and I was still not able to open it up.
I get the message of file missing or invalid.
All I am trying to do is Flash PPK on to my N55 E92. As well the Parallel works great!!
Just boutght a 525 ,,and the radio only have cd? ☹ only option is ,fm am cd i would love some bluethooth or aux

Also another question. If i code my 745Li for aux, will it be the same steps besides picking E65?
Theirs full copies you can find on goggle, I won’t be able to post any links to those as it’s pirated software but google is your best friend. And yes same steps instead you choose MMI instead of ccc/Cic/Mask and e65 for body.

Roskin I need help I unplugged my console to connect my aux cable but when I plugged everything back in my climate won’t work

Make sure you plugged the a/c plugs back in correctly. That’s the only reason it would do that, check your fuses Incase anything shorted, most likely I’m guessing the plugs aren’t all the way in
Thanks heaps for the video! Since doing this a couple of months ago on my Mac I had not been able to get it to recognize being connected to the car (could not get the 2 black dots) I had suspected the USB and Port settings so tried on an old PC laptop but still ran into the same issue. Now you have me suspecting the cable. I have same cable as yours but without that switch. You said it's for older cars, how old do you mean? Is there an earlier version of the identical looking OBD2 port? My car is a Euro market pre-lci 2005 E61 diesel. Do I actually need to have the switchable cable?

@@ms_musicoff No I never got the software to connect. I tried soldering the wires that the switch reverses (which is described on BMW owner forums) but still no luck. I’ve since sold the car - a glorious piece of junk.

Any idea if this works using Virtual Box and not Parallels?
nanturadu yes it works with virtual box as well
roskinc thanks for the quick reply! You just saved me from buying a Carly since I don't have a windows PC. A K+DCAN cable & software is cheaper than a Carly adapter plus subscription, and from what I've read, you can do so much more with it.
nanturadu you can do 100x more than icarly and fraction of the price.
I followed this step by step and my INPA won't communicate with car...any suggestions?
Double check the device manager that the coding cable shows up and port and frequency settings are correct
Not sure if you’re still active on here. But CIC isn’t showing in the Choose ECU section of NCS Expert. Can you help please.

can you run the K + DCAN cable and the INPA software on a Windows 10 pro 64-bit operating system ?
Ml Ml yes you can, my current computer I use is windows 10, I made a video on installing ncsexpert
@@roskinc I connected the cable and selected windows 10. But I dont see the cable in device manager even under any of the selections.

@@studfs Following program if you have E89 (isn’t a model but a “code”) are included E90,E91,E92,E93. If in your program there’s ONLY e90 Are included 91,92,93 , hope to help you
