yachi and kiyoko's heart to heart is definitely one of my favorite scenes. i love the dialogue and the bit of backstory we get on kiyoko. those two are so wholesome!
Funfact: Tuna always need to keep moving to stay alive. They arent like any other fish, they need to have constant flow of water to their gills to stay alive.
It really is that bad. I mean first and foremost its talking about part 2 of season 4 not part 1. Secondly, while it's not every scene or anything, there are clear moments where it's animation becomes really jank in certain parts, for multiple episodes. Not to shit on the animators because of COVID and all that but to say it's not that bad is just a lie or a biased filled denial 🤫
I don’t think calling it like it is will offend anyone… we all love the show but due to the reality of what was going on in the world they couldn’t tighten up the quality 🤷🏻♂️ it’s just reality and I still love to watch it
5:33 the term "Tuna" means as if they could die if they stop moving as daichi said to them. It's because in nature Tuna is a fish that always keep moving their whole life. If they stop, they just die. Tuna will only get oxygen by constantly moving their body. That's how their respiration works
We could easily have more seasons with the content of the manga left to be adapted. Especially because the story just keeps better and better till the end. And the ending is so good. So i just hope that the 2 movies coming out become such a success that they decide to make a longer adaptation to do the story justice. But atleast we are gonna get more Haikyu!! content to enjoy. ❤
Thank you for understanding the animation situation. Its been very hard to the animators around this time because of japan's very strict regulations during covid, the lack of time to work on the episodes because of those strict rules during covid which causes the animators to rush the work on the episodes and specially the lack of budget, again because of covid. Some reactors are specially harsh criticising every little thing they find bad compared to the last seasons not understanding the situations behind them.. SO THANK YOU 😊
Do you think the quality of animation has decreased? For me, it was just modified to look like a manga.And thanks to that, as a manga reader, I felt less uncomfortable with anime, and it became an opportunity for me to start watching Haikyuu anime.
The animation in this season more closely represents how it looks in the manga. To my knowledge it wasn't a quality issue, this was the director's choice.
It was both. The artstyle was changed to be more like the manga,which would also help with the animation due to being easier to draw,but changes of staff and production issues made it not be used to its fullest.
Not sure if someone brought it up about Sakusa being the Top #1 Ace along with Ushijima as #3 and Bokuto being #5. It's a scene in Season 2, Episode 11 (13 minutes 29 seconds)

I mean yes there is one particular episode where you notice a severe drop off in quality. I believe that one was outsourced to a different studio due to COVID restrictions. Ultimately if you go back all the way to season 1-3 you’ll notice all the ways animators try to cut corners. It’s a tough job that ultimately is constantly trying to come up with ways to lessen the work load. Unless of course you work for MAPPA then you’re just effed. Now back to Haikyuu considering they had to pívot during a pandemic season 4 looks great.

But now when I re-watch it I always tear up haha There's a lot of hidden set ups in this episode. We actually don't know the placement for the top 3, just that they are the best 3, we're never told a ranking among them.
