Haikyuu really is peak sports anime. The amount of hype in this show about high school volleyball is unmatched lol. The character writing is just so damn good and you really bond with everyone on every team. It's incredible how the author does it. And the manga has a good ending! What a perfect series.

In final games, you always expect some hype moments. Tsukkis block, the third year's holding back Ushiwaka. All peak moments. But it's the little things that make Haikyuu special. The old fan in the crowd, Tsukkis brother sneaking in to watch, their previous opponents watching on, Goshikis hunger to take over from Ushiwaka, the old generation coaches. Truly one of the animes greatest season.

when haikyuu got released on netflix on my country i spent like 2 days straight binging it on the tv, i literally locked in and didnt even notice that id spent most of the day watching its that good.

This. This 10 episodes are my favorite 4 hours of media I have ever consumed. The amount of struggle and pressure that they face in this match took more time to express than the actual length of a best of 5 volleyball match. The fact that it’s rated higher on MAL than Vinland Saga S1, DS season 2, and AOT S4P2. Whether that speaks volumes to how perfect this season was, or how much hate the others gets, I will always argue that overall, this season should be in the Top 5 anime seasons ever.
Haikyuu will forever be in my top anime’s of all time. I had never played a team sport before. I first watched the show in middle school and it made me love volleyball so much I tried out for my highschool volleyball team freshman year. I made the jv team, became captain of it first year and played the rest of highschool till I got injured. Some of the best times of my life. The anime shows so many sides of volleyball and for that it will always have a special place in my heart and I always love seeing other people discover it. God, this is anime is so damn good. Like, no matter what team you're watching, you're still routing for the other team, so like it doesn't really matter who you're watching. This is the first anime i ever watched, but it will always be my favorite The second the movie hits the screens in my area, you bet your ass im watching it.
As a writer, i think the reason this show is so good is because how many character arcs and story arcs are running simultaneously, so flawlessly. Everybody feels like a real person, they all feel like they live in a real breathing world. It builds stakes, emphasis and meaning behind everything they do, and when the viewer can emotionally relate to and empathise with the character’s struggle, you’re already 99 percent of the way there to an amazing narrative.
"he sees himself in hinata" 20:15 this is what make the relation between hinata and washijou sensei one of my favorites in the series. how the old man was "forced" to give up his dream, being now forced to confrontate someone who show him that it could be different. keep looking how this relation keeps growing in season 4 and beyond.

Haikyu Will be always special to me because helped me to not going down on depression and fear.. it was like a therapy, the energy became positive and good.. ❤

Arguably one of the best seasons in all of anime. The fact it's only 10 episodes definitely helps but every. single. episode. hits.
The ending is way too anticlimactic and plot armour driven. Definitely not one of the best imo. Even season 2 of the same series is better
