brings back young teenage memories for me. still remember singing these songs over and over like i knew what they meant (not even) but good feelings and smiles come to mind.
Wow! She's actually playing an instrument and actually singing.
Nice to see a performer smiling and enjoying herself.
The song I remember very well as a kid growing up in the early 70s. Fond memories of a time when I was much younger. Thank you for posting up.
This song was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 the day I got married, June 21, 1975.
Love truly has kept my wife and me together for 35 years plus.

Well love has certainly kept them together b/c 35 years ago today, Captain & Tennille scored their very 1st #1 Pop Hit w/this song and it was also #1 on the Adult Contemporary Chart and plus, it was their 1st Gold Single and their 1st Album Hit Gold as well and it was a Top 10 Album on the Pop Album Chart peaking @ #2 and after 35 years, they're still married and also, the Captain is 67 years old and Tennille is 70 years old and she's 5'11", God Bless Captain & Tennille, God Bless Neil Sedaka.
best female voice in music history...widest range ever recorded from a long career vocalist...and this vid shows how effortlessly she spans that range...the highs and the lows are effortless and sang loud...other vocalists that have even a fraction of her range can only whisper at certain octaves (i.e. Mariah Carey)
aahhhh tenille the "non anorexic" version of karen carpenter. My dad was a roadie for captain and tenille in the 1970,s during their short lived "archibald the 3rd" tour which consisted of the captain dressing like king henry the third carrying out a faked execution of tenille on a guilotine before playing their set.
I think it is. He was a session drummer for the Captain and Tonille back in the day. Geddy Lee was at one of their shows when he met Pert back stage. And the reast as they say is history LOL

THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS INFO!
I saw the "Do that to me one more time" video and I felt the intensity of their love as she sang. Thank God they're still married.

heard thats an urban legend...just like Rod Stewart with his belly full of...well, you know what and had to get it pumped out.

I remember like it was yesterday, since I too was a child of the 1970's (Gosh!) Thanks again!!
