Just finished this hat. Since I had different yarn and hooks sizes I had to adjust the number of rows and sts but that wasn't a problem at all. It was difficult at first but when I got a hang of it it went quite fast. And now I have a guergous one of a kind (in my town) hat. Thank you very much and greetings from Poland 😊

I fell in love with this pattern, but I have to agree that the problems came across when I had to repeat from round 2-5 with the braided yarn, it was really tricky. That was the most difficult part!

This pattern makes such an awesome hat. Using sport weight yarn, I create a slip stitch brim--using G or H hook, join the two ends with a slip stitch. Switch to I hook, evenly place 75 dc around. I decrease to keep the look of the cables when the hat is the size I want, so a tapered look Finish off with a pom. Lovely! Thank you so much for the tutorial.

Made one of these last year and wore it all the time! Lots of compliments and people wanting to know "where I bought it". About to make my 2nd one in a different color. I did do a shorter band (only 10 rows tall) and didn't double it because my yarn was thicker and i like that look better on me. I added more of the cabeling to make it the right height (did 3.5 rounds of the cabeling). I consider myself a beginner and this beanie is challenging at first but these directions are clear. Just keep trying and referring to the video and you'll get it. Thanks for sharing!

I will have to give this hat a try. I like the thicker brim. I also like that all your cable stitches are made from the front! Not a back post stitch in the whole lot!!

Succeed! I was a a bit confused in row 4 and 5 and the repeat. I had to redo 3,4 times the row 4. And when I understand, it is so easy and I finish it in 1 hour. Thank you so much. I love my beanie so much. Your pattern is easy and very clear. Subscribed!

Does anybody know if the pattern goes into more detail about repeating rounds 2-5? I got to this point almost two weeks ago now, and I know the stitches, but I have no clue what order to put them in because the cords are twisted into a different order after the first set of cabling. I've tried almost every combination known to man at this point and have combed through every photo of this hat on etsy, here, and the other link where the pattern is sold and cannot figure it out to save my life. I even tried going through a few cabling tutorials, but none of them do three cables per section, they do two, so theyre more like twists than braids. So now I'm at a loss and the only thing I can think to do is check out the pattern, but I don't want to get it if it's just going to be the same as the video and go "repeat rounds 2-5", because I get the rest, everything else makes sense, I just can't get my brain to figure out the rest of the cabling 😵‍💫

    *ATTENTION*
This Hat is so flipping small! Is like for a 5yr old.
    I'm talking NOT ADULT size.
She doesn't warn you if the size until you have the entire brim made. I'm so mad! I was making this a a gift and had to start all over.
She should tell you it's small and use a bigger hook size if you want it larger at the beginning of the damn video. Wasted my time. Shame because the hat is very pretty.
