Megalovania is made by Homestuck, not Toby Fox. It's not MegaLOVania it's most likely MegaloVania, Megalo and Vania. (Pronounced as va-nia not vay-nia). "Megalo" means "big, grand, or giant". "Vania" is a Spanish name for "truth". Megalovania means "Grand Truth" which is way more badass than MegaLOVania. It really fits his title of being the Judge of the Underground.

While the first version of Megalovania was named Dr. Andonut's Rage, Toby Fox still made that one and used it for his Earthbound Halloween hack. He also made the Homestuck Megalovania, which is the first time it was called Megalovania I believe. And the definition fits for Homestuck as well, with it believed to be the theme of Vriska, who also acts like a Megalomaniac. Also we now know the name is a combination of Megalovania and Transylvania, as it was inspired by the song Megalomania from Live a Live. However considering Toby already changed the name before, from Dr. Andonut's Rage, I'm gonna take a guess that he knew what he was doing with the LOVE thing.

I like to think this plays after sans kills chara in one of the timelines. and sans is just walking through the empty underground. going past hundreds of dust piles. passing by broken pieces of Mettaton, Undyne's armour, etc. pretty sad when you think of it like that. killing sans is a better ending than letting him kill you.
Just fuck me up, if you go through with the Genocide Run you deserve the hell you'll go through. I love this though, compared to the original Megalovania, this variation goes more into the loss and grief that Sans constantly has to go through with the timelines. Bestill my heart.
Why has this not won an award yet? No, really. The song and the tragically haunting visuals that go with it are gut wrenching. Sans is truly a character filled with grief and with the constant fear of waking up to see his brother laying dead in a pile of dust. Think Eddie Valiant from Roger Rabbit just a lot more depressing than it already is (seriously fan-artists get on it). The point is this song represents Sans' horrid fate and how after a genocide run he just wants to die and be with Papyrus again. Thank you for a beautiful version.

You know, I had a best friend once. He got me into Undertale in the first place. He always made me laugh, and he was always there for me. It's too bad I wasn't there for him when he needed me most, because he took his own life at the end of last month. A no mercy run is different from Genocide. In a no mercy run, it is what it is. You kill everyone you meet. It's the same with Genocide, but you hunt every single monster down.
This is amazing. It's so different from the original song, yet it captures the same feeling with more, feels. The original has a feel to it where you *know* Sans is angry. He's mad at you for killing his brother, the one person he loved. But with this, you feel the *pain* Sans has. Sans didn't deserve his brother getting killed. Yet, it still has a silent anger that looms over the song. I love this. :3

After everything you've done, I think it's safe to say that Sans has no qualms about killing you at this point. The problem is that he knows perfectly well that it isn't possible, and that any attempt would most likely result in his own demise. The only reason he's even trying is because at this point, he literally has nothing left to lose.
Really shows how hopeless Sans must have felt in his situation. Eventually, you would get through. Eventually, you would reload and kill him, and the world would be gone. The same thing had happened time and time again, and Sans knew that. But he stood against you and fell anyway, because you killed his brother. Heartbreaking stuff.
I would just collapse in tears. I cried after defeating papyrus and not just a few tears, full on cried.I felt like the scum of the earth after finishing the genocide run. If this played as sans died I wouldn't have finished the genocide run.
The only thing that stopped me from beating sans was sheer guilt and dread from killing absolutely every single monster and then even worse searching for more monsters to kill.(especially after me killing pappy and realizing I won't be able to call him and hear his silly comments anymore nor undynes)
I heard DJSmell's lyrics for this a while ago, kept the cover in my likes list but didn't really think to find the original. Maybe I did, and tried, but failed, I don't know. But listening to a playlist of Undertale remixes brought me to this, and I still know every word that DJSmell wrote for this cover. I only listen to that song passively anymore, it's background noise while I do my work. And yet I hit every note, sang every word with just the right timing. This original cover is now in my likes list as well and while I may sing the lyrics to myself while it plays, one of these days I'll take the time to truly appreciate it for what it is. Despite my voice being in the way this first time around, what I did hear was absolutely gorgeous.

No, really. The song and the tragically haunting visuals that go with it are gut wrenching. Sans is truly a character filled with grief and with the constant fear of waking up to see his brother laying dead in a pile of dust. Think Eddie Valiant from Roger Rabbit just a lot more depressing than it already is (seriously fan-artists get on it). The point is this song represents Sans' horrid fate and how after a genocide run he just wants to die and be with Papyrus again.

A no mercy run is different from Genocide. In a no mercy run, it is what it is. You kill everyone you meet. It's the same with Genocide, but you hunt every single monster down.
This is amazing. It's so different from the original song, yet it captures the same feeling with more, feels. The original has a feel to it where you *know* Sans is angry. He's mad at you for killing his brother, the one person he loved. But with this, you feel the *pain* Sans has. Sans didn't deserve his brother getting killed. Yet, it still has a silent anger that looms over the song. I love this. :3

It would be sad because he didn't want to kill you. But his brother didn't want to kill you either. And look where that got him.
After everything you've done, I think it's safe to say that Sans has no qualms about killing you at this point. The problem is that he knows perfectly well that it isn't possible, and that any attempt would most likely result in his own demise. The only reason he's even trying is because at this point, he literally has nothing left to lose.
Really shows how hopeless Sans must have felt in his situation. Eventually, you would get through. Eventually, you would reload and kill him, and the world would be gone. The same thing had happened time and time again, and Sans knew that. But he stood against you and fell anyway, because you killed his brother. Heartbreaking stuff.

The only thing that stopped me from beating sans was sheer guilt and dread from killing absolutely every single monster and then even worse searching for more monsters to kill.(especially after me killing pappy and realizing I won't be able to call him and hear his silly comments anymore nor undynes)
I heard DJSmell's lyrics for this a while ago, kept the cover in my likes list but didn't really think to find the original. Maybe I did, and tried, but failed, I don't know. But listening to a playlist of Undertale remixes brought me to this, and I still know every word that DJSmell wrote for this cover. I only listen to that song passively anymore, it's background noise while I do my work. And yet I hit every note, sang every word with just the right timing. This original cover is now in my likes list as well and while I may sing the lyrics to myself while it plays, one of these days I'll take the time to truly appreciate it for what it is. Despite my voice being in the way this first time around, what I did hear was absolutely gorgeous.
