Here's a different take on Undertale's "Megalovania" than what you've probably been used to hearing - I heard this haunting piano arrangement by ChrystalChameleon a while back and couldn't resist reaching out and asking if I could add vocals and lyrics to it! I really enjoyed getting creative and working on the words for this one, so I hope you guys enjoy the somber spin we've brought to you on this song.

I first heard this song at the end of Mithzan's genocide run and it absolutely blew me away. When I heard it, I wasn't that into Undertale, I was only interested in watching genocide runs because I wasn't invested in the story or the characters but this one song changed that entirely. I was so enraptured by this song that I decided to give the entire game a chance and it couldn't have made my life any better. Because of this game and this song, I've grown exponentially closer to one of my best friends and I've gained another game to hold on to in my life. I know this song is nearly 4 years old but I still wanted to take the time to thank you Adriana, from the bottom of my heart. Your decision to create lyrics and add vocals to this song has not only brought me closer to one of the people I love the most, but it has also changed and saved my life.
I think the saddest part is in the picture Sans is still smiling, remembering the great times he had with papyrus a person that could not even hurt a fly, only for him to die by a child. You know how the more damage you do in undertale equates to how much you want to harm (according to undertale lore, that is). Maybe the reason he deals damage so fast but only 1 at a time is because he knows he has to kill you but in his heart he truly doesn't want to have to hurt you and the only way to make up for the 1 damage is attacking fast.

This is so hauntingly beautiful and sad. I love the ethereal "oohs" at the beginning and at 2:19, almost like the souls of those the player murdered are wailing and crying out for vengeance. Super clever too how you mixed the melody from "Home" in the end there too, it's so sad because Toriel really tried to get Frisk (or more accurately the player) to be good, to be Pacifist, and you trampled on her dreams.
At first I thought Papyrus’s scarf was some sort of snake. And I was like “Why is sans crying because of a snake?” Then I realized it was Papyrus’s scarf. Then I cried 10 times more.
I swear, doesn't matter how much time passes but every time the line 'Answer now for your sins' in this song it gives me shivers. It's just sounds so beautiful (you know, despite what the song is singing about)

This made me feel so many emotions. Oh, my God. I'm an asshole. I did Genocide purely out of anger, because I fucked up the Pacifist run six hours in. And when I finally did it, when I finally beat Sans... oh my God, I was happy. I was so happy to kill my friend. "If you were really my friend, you wouldn't come back." And when I tried again... "I guess you're not really my friend." I should have given up. And now I've unleashed pure hell on these completely fictional characters. I feel terrible. I didn't do the Pacifist run first, so now there's no chance of them ever being able to truly experience the world, even if they wouldn't remember it either way. In my own game, the only ending I can have now, no matter what I do, no matter how I try, will lead to the destruction of the ones I love. I should have given up.

I think it's interesting we made Chara our excuse.When we kill everyone in this game, we immediately blame Chara.Sure Chara isnt a full good guy, but that's only because of us.It wasnt them that made Frisk kill.It was us.We just push the blame to them because it's easier than excepting that we did it ourselves
If you think about it, San's situation is pretty sad. He is AWARE that everything he does doesn't matter, because it will eventually be reset no matter what he does.
+BunkerBlog That is true. Hence this 10 minute battle of hell. It's obviously Sans trying to annoy you into giving up, by making it seem impossible, which it nearly is. It is not to simply defeat you, he is aware that whatever he does you will reset, but he tries to take away the sense of resetting. However, through determination, a certain hellish demon eventually succeeds, and Sans well knows that it would happen, but at this point, as he already said.... "I can't afford not to care anymore."
I love the sadness and heartbreak in this song. Also you added the leitmotifs of other characters as well touching on their deaths! This is my favorite rendition of megalomania by far!

You know how the more damage you do in undertale equates to how much you want to harm (according to undertale lore, that is). Maybe the reason he deals damage so fast but only 1 at a time is because he knows he has to kill you but in his heart he truly doesn't want to have to hurt you and the only way to make up for the 1 damage is attacking fast.

This is so hauntingly beautiful and sad. I love the ethereal "oohs" at the beginning and at 2:19, almost like the souls of those the player murdered are wailing and crying out for vengeance. Super clever too how you mixed the melody from "Home" in the end there too, it's so sad because Toriel really tried to get Frisk (or more accurately the player) to be good, to be Pacifist, and you trampled on her dreams.
