Is really useful and I notice that compared with many martial arts techniques, these methods of escape and self defence are realistic and work in these situations, they are not like flashy Jackie Chan movies, just simple methods of defence that would work with the right amount of effort put into them! Well done guys 🙌🏽
Thanks guys. Very helpful as always. Thanks for making it simple for us to understand but very informative ❤️ I have a question tho, do we apply the same technique if we are cornered and have a very limited space to move?
Thank you very much for your feedback and support!🙌 Situational awareness is more important than any technique here - the technique is for the absolute worst case scenario. Always be aware of your surroundings, if you see a situation developing that appears unsafe, run away. If you can't run away, pick up a chair or put some other form of barrier between you and the attacker. Then if you have nothing else to rely on then something is better than nothing which is when the physical self defence technique would apply. The good news is it doesn't matter if you're in a corner or not because the technique is to spring forward, into the attacker, whilst covering yourself. So you don't need to move to the side, only directly ahead. Thank you again for watching👊
I like this video for the most part. I love the emphasis on running away and improvised weapons. The techniques themselves look good. The only thing I worry about is when the "bad guy" is holding the bat, he or she could launch into Angle 1 or Angle 2. And unless they take a few swings at me before I move, I may not know what angle they are going to choose until I've already started moving towards them and chosen a defense. So I'm wondering if there is a single defense that would help against both angles of attack so I don't risk picking the wrong one? Or do we assume most people are head-hunters and stick with technique #1 because while a blow to the body is bad, a blow to the head is worse? I don't have all the answers, I'm just looking for the least-risky solution in a bad scenario.
Good question. There is another video coming regarding following your natural instincts of trying to remove your head/body from the attack and then the defence is against the reverse strike, which is different as the angle is different too. If we had to choose because the attacking angle is indeed not obvious, and we can't retreat or do anything else; option 2 covered yourself better and with a bit of luck the baton would impact in one arm or the other and therefore having the other one non damaged to counter/grabbing and trying to fight back. Very good question though, thanks a lot, and definitely another video about "multi swing" attack is coming. Thanks.

good vid
Cheers mate! Much appreciated as always👊
Running away could be risky, if the attacker decides to throw the bat at your legs. That would cause a serious fall. Just a factor t consider.
Good point mate👍
@@simpleselfdefence_ thanks. Just considering various factors 👍
