A lot longer than that, they keep pushing further and further to the right and now far right, appealing to geriatric voters. The average age of tory members is 75 and that number keeps going up. Unless they change how their leadership elections work they won't get near government ever again. It seems likely that they'll try to get farage into the party after the election, which may win them more votes but will also motivate far, far more people to vote against them, no matter how much the bbc platform him and his vile racist views. Britain, like most nations, is a fundamentally centrist country, it's not going to elect the far right unless we experience something like losing a major war or some other catastrophe.

Well said - those with the broadest shoulders (including me) can contribute more, we need to think about improving the nation, making our economy stronger and fixing public services (Water, power, railways, even potholes and underfunding local councils, and the NHS), paying people fair wages and not giving our pals massive contracts for things they cannot provide (PPE, Track and Trace, Infosys IT contracts - to Rishi's Dad-in-law and wastage of millions on vanity schemes like Rwanda) - the corruption needs to be followed up, the guilty need to be imprisoned and the fraud money (like that Rishi has decided not to go for) should be returned. This election should be about punishing the Tories for everything they have done in the past 14 years.

If you add it all up (income tax, NI, employee NI contributions, VAT, fuel duty, green taxes, council tax, stamp duty, CGT, taxes on alcohol and tobacco, etc, etc, etc) you'll already be paying 2/3 to 3/4 of your wages to the government as tax, in order that they can waste the majority of that money on virtue signalling projects to make themselves feel better.

I, for one, will NEVER vote Conservative after 60 years of support for as long as Rishi (Richie) Sunak is leader .
I come from many generations of the military including my father who fought in Burma to keep the Japanese out of India and feel totally disgusted! 😡

Someone pointed out how terrified those lads who went to fight must’ve been terrified and Sunak could not be bothered to stay for the afternoon. Eighty years of commemoration and it’s like he didn’t know what was expected ? Personally as well I can’t believe he keeps saying that he managed to go to all the British ones and dismissing the other countries that sent their young who died so we are free.

We have to remember that being a Prime Minister is like walking a long plank that keeps getting shorter with each step you take.

Let’s be honest, no member of UK public believes a single politician and all parties are a catastrophe. Until we get rid of first past the post, will we get any true representation of the UK public. Also, let’s be brutally honest, a growing group of UK public no longer believe or listen to main-stream media, due to biases and peddling lies of politicians. When you analyse this, the UK is truly broken. Honest analysis is needed (This can’t happen due to cancellation of views with labelling extreme/far left or right of common people. Common people are labelled and called Populist, which actually translated simply means democracy in action, which those on 6th June 1944 fought & died, to have common people to actually have democracy) and honest solution and effect broadcast to the public. Democracy is being destroyed inside out in 2024, when in 1939 is was from outside in. The battle ahead leads to only one simple analysis, a modern, hopefully peaceful revolution within the UK is rapidly coming down the train track and Labour winning is not that train, it is part of the problem that will cause revolution.
