cnn did a bit from kursk days ago
Were you sleeping all this time? US media went in first.
4:16 tell Oleksandr Syrskyi that to make pressure, they need to move further from belgorod and more in kursk
This is a small village, with nothing to celebrate.
They took more land in 1,5 week than russia did in ukraine for 9 months.
@@vrrdt342That was heavily fortified land, while this was not defended with no fortifications. Only new recruits were positioned here as noone expected war. Hence, this is not a big achievement. U have to have some basic sense to understand that. And this is just a PR battle. Once the real force comes, Ukraine will be forced to leave. Ukraine hoped that Russia would move it's Frontline troops from eastern Ukraine to kursk. But Russia is not ready to lose that advantage and if Ukraine wants to expand in kursk, they will need more troops and they are easy targets. Russia will play the big game out and Ukraine will lose badly. That is what is going to happen and anyone with brains can already understand it.
🤷This is a great lesson to those in Africa calling for Russian help that Russian people were disappointed by their country so don't expect Russia to save you
So we must ask the west to save us ? Who carried genocide on our forefathers and still enslaving us in our own land?
The realisation from Sudza residents that their own government is not coming to save them, or give them any help at all.
Great to see but Nick is taking a huge risk to bring us this news.
Thank you.

Long live the Kursk Peoples Republic, what do you think ?
lol Ukraine so far only occupied about percent of Kursk and is now almost static
@@OCOPCCHSPTПри чем здесь Курск? Это большой город,который украинцы не видят даже издалека и не увидят.Они зашли в маленькие села в приграничье и то теперь бегают небольшими группами по лесам,что не мешает их методично уничтожать
Kursk is Ukraine’s beautiful city and will stay forever.
@@Toopicjg54yeah, sure, and new York is Russian😅 again
@@Toopicjg54by the way, The WSJ already recognizes that the initial plan of the West was to capture the Kursk nuclear power plant and the entry of Ukrainians into Kursk. But there is a caveat - the Ukrainian military had only 7 days to do this. And they failed.

crazy, just crazy.
The Ukraine is not allowed to loose this war till the 5. November!!!
8:25 Great question! 👏
Nick Connoly in the thick of it in Russia ,great coverage ,thanks Nick for your hard work in the danger zone!
Slava Ukraine ❤
@4m: They're not only sick of Putin, but also still sick of Lenin, when you look at that statue....
Those civilians may never be able to return to Russia and the reality is they likely don't understand yet. I think this must be some to help shift the narrative
🤣🤣🤣 Write to me about this in mid-November, naive.
this is not how you win a war.
These violent delights have violent ends. Russia could've tried to attract some Ukrainian troops to kursk away from donbas. But Russia was not smart enough to do that. Instead, Ukrainians corrected Russian mistakes. Now the most critical donbas front is much thinner for russians. Ukrainians may stay in kursk as long as they like. They could even start permanent life there. In time they'll be asked to apply for russian passports or leave.
The thing is for 2 years Russia is trying to conquer Donbas with no results
This guy is brave
Saying that they don't need this territory kind of makes a reason for Russia to not send many troops from other fronts to react for this
Never thought I'd ever hear the terms "Ukrainian-controlled Russian territory" spoken on mainstream media.
They should make a "referendum" so that Kursk is oficially part of Ukraine.
they stuck in meatgrinder and "control" 2% of whole kursk oblast. About referendum - go to Kursk and tell that locals, don't be coward
I like DW's reports well enough but one noticeable thing is that the anchors keep asking their journalist colleagues very questions. As if to already push for a specific answer.
Propoganda at its peak ..
I am seeing Ukranian soldiers to be the most nice and loved soldiers in this modern era.. Show to the world specially to Russians that your loved will paved way in winning the war started by Putin.
Putin not biting the bait
Because he his nibbling on Lukaschenko's worm
Then Ukraine can just keep invading Russia.
@@joanesp100you will go there to fight, yes?
@@MrTripsJ what makes you think I am not there already
I think with all the talk of Ukrainians saying “We don’t plan to be here long”, he is hoping they leave soon. Now I am thinking he is taking the bait and they plan on hold Kursk for a long time which also looks terrible. He doesn’t have a problem with a solution, he has a dilemma with multiple bad outcomes.
30 km.!??!😂
As a German I Think Selenskyj is Fighting an Impossible Battle..!!!
Also Russia is fighting an impossible battle since the West will not allow Russia to swallow Ukraine

A big country like Russia should not want Ukraine for any reason.
A big country like the US should not want Russia for any reason.
They want the gas in the Donbas: extra revenue. Russia outside St Petersburg and Moskow is a dump by the way.
@@numbersix8919 Wake up. Nobody wants Russia. Ukrainians openly said they didn't want part of the Kursk region.
BTW How does the US relate to the Russian aggression on Ukraine?
The US deliver old Bradleys and Javelins that's all. I won't say ATACMS because these are expired and sanctioned. The most they deliver are HIMARS ammo and 155mm ammo. Missiles could come from Germany and shells should come from Greece and Turkey but the US said they would deliver it both. I could only see the Senat giving Putin time to breathe. An intravenous drip of weaponry is more of a help for Russia than it is to Ukraine.
Kursk is a historical Ukranian land occupied by muscovits. And now Kursk came back home.
what Kursk? it's 100 km away...they went like diarrhea for 20 km
When was Kursk historical Ukraine land?
Not the entire Kursk, only the towns they took. It was a long time ago.

This could be the lesson for russia that they cannot bully ukraine rather respect ukraine rights
Someone with such picture cannot speak about respect.
I'm sick of Russia!!!!

Western mass Media like DW like make this tipe of ,, tv show,, for ordinary people in western countries, but reality it's totally different!!
The American commentator made a great impression and seemed sharp and level-headed in his analysis. It's a relief that DW News finally has realized it's a good idea to invite other "experts" than the predictable and Russia-biased usual suspects like _Marina Miron_ and _Frank Ledwidge._ Not a day too late. That's for sure.
The Kursk adventure has its price - it is more than a thousand dead high-quality soldiers with experience and motivation.
The operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region "has its terrible price," said the mayor of Lviv, Andrei Sadovoy. By publishing a list of soldiers who are being buried in Lviv and who died from Zelensky's Kursk adventure.
Of course, he did not blame Ze, but the hidden message is clear.
If Zelensky cannot hold the Kursk bridgehead for a long time, then he will be accused of throwing the best at the dumbest attack. Although yesterday everyone was singing his praises.
It is so sad to lose any life of any person or animal! many already died since russia attacked Ukraine :( but agressor does not stop. So people have no choice but defend Motherland from destruction

Do you really think Russia will allow them to stay!
