    Just the perfect tutorial I was looking for! I have 3 24 x 24 in windows in our bedroom that really need something simple but pretty. Thanks for the wonderful way you teach!

    I absolutely love the look of this blind! Thank you so much for the video. I might try it with just pleating the pretty side and then making a piece of backing that size and sewing it all together at that point. These old hands don't like hand sewing. I'm leaving off the cording because it looks neat without it also.
    Thank you for the inspiration! It is one of those "Why didn't I think of that!" moments!

    Thank goodness for a tutorial that is simple to understand and doesn’t sew but glues everything. I really feel confident enough to actually tackle my enormous bedroom window. Very many thanks.

    WOW, I loved the way you explain things. I love your style of teaching with the show one, do one, teach one. I plan to do that project in my kitchen. Thanks for what you do. I have learned so much from you. Have a blessed day.

    Proper roman blinds have the cords at the back so why show cords at the front. The blind looked perfect without the cords Don’t you agree

    Perfect! This is exactly what I want to do for my bathroom window. I just want the look if a roman shade. I don't actually need a shade in there so I don't want to go to all the work of making one that actually works. I do however want some color in there and a more updated look from a valance. Thanks for share! :)

    I like the blind but I would leave the cording off. It would look much neater without the cording

    Do you have a video on how to upholster a dining room chair with a curved back?

    • @DIYOnTheHouse
      @DIYOnTheHouse  3 роки тому +2

      No, I am sorry I don't. If it is just a slight curve, I would just staple as normal. Start in the middle top and bottom, make several clips in the fabric so it can curve with the back. I sometimes have made a test piece with scrap fabric or a sheet and attach it to see how it lays down before I do the real fabric.

    An alternative to ripping out the opening for te rod is to mark the opening and tie off on each side of it.

    Great video; is the interfacing necessary? She is not going to answer, so anyone have any ideas on the interfacing?

    • @DIYOnTheHouse
      @DIYOnTheHouse  2 роки тому

      On this project, I would say the interfacing is necessary. I am guessing, on this project, if you didn't use interfacing, it wouldn't have the look of a faux blind, it would look more like a loose curtain. The interfacing I use from gotinterfacing.com makes a really smooth project.

    Do you have to use interfacing?

    • @DIYOnTheHouse
      @DIYOnTheHouse  2 роки тому

      Yes you would, otherwise it will hang really loose and won't hold its shape.

      I don't remember the actual time, but I would guess about an hour.

    pleats not even cord not needed

    • @DIYOnTheHouse
      @DIYOnTheHouse  2 роки тому

      Yes, it is a faux blind, made to look like a blind but really a curtain, so the cord is just for looks.
