G.Guld's music breathes through subtle flexibility that is almost intuitive or an integral part of it. It's about making the performance more human than mechanical. Thanks, David!
Me neither. I have the sheet music and bought a Yamaha electronic keyboard but don't hardly even touch it. I'd sure love to re-learn all my stuff though.
There are multiple editions of the score available. The one I have provided above may not be the one Gould used. Or are you referring to embellishments?
@@vincent-ataramaniko Bach penned compositions, but his works were edited by dozens of different musicians. Some added embellishments, some did not. Bach did not indicate tempo in most of his work, so people are free to interpret his music as they wish. But the notes themselves do not change. Regards

I am in love with Bach's music. The purest of both artistic and scholarly excellence.

I don't think I saw a Gould record on this channel before. Thank you for the LP sound, David!
My pleasure. There is a lot of Gould on YT, not so much with the score I've noticed.
Majestuoso Glenn Gould, genio Bach... Muchas gracias por compartir estas hermosas piezas.
grazie
I used to be able to play that movement about 30 years ago.
Yeah! Me too! Not anymore though.

10:57 I guess he does it on purpose, but the G natural of the right hand would sound darker and more interesting I believe
I can hear him humming ahahaaha
The popular clip of him practicing and humming was BWV 826 not 827
@@OmnipresentPotato Ok, so? Gould always hummed.
6:40 Gould the playful jokester
Why does he play different notes than written sometimes?

Since there is no way to write it I'll just let you know - Bronx Cheer.
way too opinionated for the circumstances
