How To Make Every Pitstop Perfect In Assetto Corsa Competizione
Let me know if this was helpful!
I need a video like this. Thanks Jardi! : D
Hell yeah !!
Very helpful. do you happen to know what the max you can be going in 1st gear up to the point the auto pit limiter kicks in? I want to really attack the line.
A pitstop can make or break the position you had in your race, so definitely yes!
Thanks Jardier, this was very helpful. Us not so "Alien" drivers need so much more help to get an edge on the fast drivers
I joined my first competition race this week and then went into total panic when I realised it had a pit stop to make. I had no idea what I was doing 😂 This was really helpful. Thank you!
LETS GO
Thank you Jardier, When I can start driving again I will have these video's that I can reflect back on and watch over. That will be a big help since it's been so long since I have driven.
@@Jardier could you make a video about the basics of tuning in acc?
Thanks dude. So many YT simmers rush through the explanation which simply adds to the confusion. I know English isn’t your first language, but when you take it slow and explain “why” setting camera to the bonnet is best, you win views and subscribers.
I've been struggling for a few hours. Finally decided to UA-cam and see what I could do better. Sure enough here you are, my savior. Thanks J.
If you wanna have the pressures you set in the setup, you can also go from dry to wet and angain to dry tires and then you have the actual pressures :)
Thanks for this. I am useless at pitstops but too busy working on not being useless at the actual driving to concentrate properly on this yet. This video helps so much
Lets go!!!!
That bonnet cam trick made a huge difference for me. I learned that from your streams. I just practice a couple times to be sure I know where each car lines up on the board.
I wish you had this video out awhile ago. When I first started I couldn't figure out why I'd set my pit strategy, but my tires and fuel were wrong after the pit stops. It took me a few races to figure out to manually select the pit strategy when going into the pits. I thought it automatically progressed through them if you set them up.
Yeah its so much easier to be precise!
Yup, very helpful thanks. Bonnet cam for pit, very helpful. For some reason I felt like auto pit limiter was not very "simmy" but certainly makes my pits faster.
The camera advice is so good! I always struggled positioning the car. Thanks dude!!!
Lets go! :)
This was an excellent video and for someone who is relatively new to using ACC extremely informative. You have my thanks👍🏻
3:35 also it would be nice if you could see the condition of all the tyres sets in case you have to switch back to used tyres
Thanks for sharing your Pitstop Secret Sauce Jardier! Much appreciated!
And I missed you getting passed 80K subs! Congratulations man!
Thank you!!!!
Love your videos! They have been very helpful for me getting into ACC can’t wait to get into some league races soon
Thanks a lot. It's very very helpful. Now I'm not scared about pit stops.
I will also say, that your hole Chanel ist very helpful. I saw your Chanel a few days ago and I must say Thank you. Your Setup Guides helped me also a lot. Good job and please keep on
👊thank you
Thanks Jardier this is the video i needed my pit stop entry and exit is so much better
Just starting to dabble with endurance racing.....This is so helpful!
Thank you!
@@Jardier now I have fear of hitting ignition button while racing and killing the engine! :O
Great! Tips! This will make my races way better thanks!!
Got to this video because I always go in the pits and loose positions, now I know why!
That's pretty much all I do is endurance races in this game and I have never entered a race without having every single stop planned and dialed in, even for the 24's.. having the strategy already set up is key to minimizing time lost due to fiddling with the pit page (like adjusting fuel numbers and tire pressures) the only thing I do on the fly is my driver swap, I back time the drivers limits to the end of the race so I know what my final stint time will be.. I get super into it. I love this game for this level of immersion
I'm about to hit SA80 so be in the longer races, super helpful vid bruv thankyou xx
I needed this video yesterday haha. just messed up a pitstop in a beginners league race and lost 10 seconds in the pits as I keep missing the pit box haha. great Jardier
Thank you! Lost a bunch of races because I didn’t know how to make a good pitstop
Thanks Jardier, this was very helpful. Us not so "Alien" drivers need so much more help to get an edge on the fast drivers
you can also enable pit limiter before the line and keep throtle and brake pedals at the same time, leting breake go when sound will change
Jardier helping me out once again! 🔥🔥
You can also stall the car if you use manual clutch (doesn't work on all cars sadly). You press the clutch, roll into the box and release the clutch with brake pressed, just stalls the car and pit stop begins. Shame M4 has forced auto clutch so I can't do it anymore :D Might actually try auto pit limiter for enduros
Hoonda also doesn't stall. I used to use this method in me pitstops and I miss it 😢
Jards I never knew how much I needed this video!! Thanks hunny love you 😍
LETS GO mate!
Thanks will try it. Pit stops losing me races atm
Merci énormément pour ces conseils jardier 🤛🤛
Awesome thanks Jardier
Such a great helpful video cheers Jardier
great work, thanks
I will say learning the trick of turning the ignition on at 3 seconds and holding down the starter at 1 shaved a second off my pit times.
I will definitely say it's much easier to get a speeding into the pits penalty then you're making it out to be. So a short race vs the AI. Even entering the pit at 5 over will land you the DT penalty. Maybe it's different online due to lag issues but against the AI it's extremely strict
Great helpful video Jardz
I love these quick videos you are doing, can you do one on how to do a driver swap on ACC settings you need and how it works, as I'm due to take part in endurance race in about 3 weeks and none of us have ever done a driver swap before
I think I actually have video about it ua-cam.com/video/zenH-aS8ISU/v-deo.html :) here
Very helpfull
Learning a lot!
You can adjust and set your tire pressure (type of tire and refuel) for every stop in the setup menu under the fuel section . So when you race everything is setup automatically….just remember to ch your driver
@jardier I would love to see a video where you show what cars are fast for each track or each type of track
this was very helpful. Now start trying on it. Do you have a video how to race online on PS5, hard to find a good lobby. Keep this kind of video's coming.
thanks for all the help I could ask you if there are macros for ACC I would like to take advantage of the button box more on the pits
I was wondering what assists you were using. I tried full Pro this week with manual clutch and pit limiter (at Donington too) and it's hard! Think I'll change back to the same Custom settings that you have.👍...and try the bonnet cam trick.
i think for beginners this might be helpful yes but
your method is as good as doing it the proper realistic way ;) i never use hood cam to make the pit stop ..you just have to remember which horizontal dash you stopped on (the end of your bonnet or the lower end of your windscreen makes a somewhat horizontal line)... either the lollipop thing from the pit crew dash or the yellow arrow ones on that red and black board thats standing there have to be in line with your bonnet or windscreen .. you have to do it once .. i practice it once or maybe twice and i know exactly on which dash i have to stand in line with the end of my bonnet :) easy as that
>> well but on one hand i kinda understand it.. the way acc let you make a pit stop and you need to stand exactly right can be pretty annoying.. i dont understand why they dont make the place where its perfect and you just get pushed up bigger and wider (dont know maybe just half a meter is enough).. in real life they dont andjust the cars position before doing the pit stop (only if its rly bad positioning).. so i dont understand it .. one thing they rly should adjust a bit (like i racing)
the other thing i do the realistic way is to engage the limiter manually .. you can do it the way you told it as well .. i just shift down into 1st and press the limiter .. even if im at 80kmh the limiter will slow me down and on the line im more or less at 50kmh .. as you said a bit of speeding isnt realy bad i mostly arrive there at dont know 52-53 .. i rly dont know xD ive done it thousands of times it became natural and goes without me even think about it
same with pit exit i disable the limiter 2-3 meters before the pit exit line and go
in my opinion realism is everything .. i dislike to have things on automatic or switch cameras and such .. immersion is king :D
Only difference between the virtual and normal pitboard is the orange box you park your car into - you always have two pitboards, the position is exactly the same.
I change to the behind the car view and stop as soon as the back of the car enters the box, think it makes it even easier
I have lit limiter on auto and it seems to not be working. Does it turn on automatically when you get into pits in first gear or do you still need to turn the limiter on when you get in the pit? Doesn't seem auto.
I will like to say that auto is better and I prefer it but a lot on leagues set it for a manual pit limiter unfortunately but after watching this video I am going to try manual ignition
7:44 hé J, doesn’t the fov make a difference when you want to stop like this? Thanks for the vid and info
Fantastic video mate, great advice. Quick question, if I do 24 hours spa with x2 time multiplayer, does the tyre wear and fuel usage speed up x2 also?
Nono only time is multi tyres and fuel are normal :)
Thanks for this video, the pit entry has been something which scares me, I use the auto pit limiter but always assumed you had to enter the pits under 50kph so I normally get down to about 40kph around 20 meters before the line, then speed up to limiter once past the line, are you saying that if I enter above 50kph that the car will slow down automatically (apply the brakes)? If so what is the max speed you think it can slow you down from?
Thank you
Same question. I don't understand the speeding part. Is it allowed, is it not allowed? Would like to see an outside view of where exactly the lines and marks are where you are allowed to disable the speedlimiter.
He was doing like 85 kph in the video and it slowed down instantly at the line just make sure you're in first
Hi Javier how do you turn off the engine in the pit stop if you are using a controller thanks
Jardier, where do I find weather forecast? How to predict temperatures?
i dont know where to find that tomato pitstop like u did in 10:15
I noticed that if you set it on auto sometimes you get get penalty on exit of the pitlane.
How did Jardier map the funky switch to change the pressures in the MFD ??
I’ve been trying to do that for ages but doesn’t work ??
haha was very confused why you where doing 1 lap and pit this afternoon :D
:D
Thanks bro i almost threw my tv in the backyard because of a pit last night
Omggg nooo😱😅😅
@Jardier I was doing a career race to wasn't even against anyone lmao. I had like a 12 second lead and got screwed lmao
Did my first race on acc yesterday, was only single player but after completing 15 laps i noticed i got a DNF from a shitty pit stop so thank you 😂
but i cant pit.. i have to press return to garage to pit.. in races i get a penalty for doing that so any idea? when i enter the pits my box is not showing
Very helpful. But i still grief to use the automatic pit limiter as it somehow feels like it is killing a small part of realism for me... I guess i have to deal with it. Just a question. If i have the pit limiter mapped to my wheel, can i override the automatic limiter just by pressing the button, or do i have to use the MFD?
Jardier do you know why Competition servers has 30min races only??? 1-2 hours are so much better.
And that video was good🤌...pit stop is good way to overtake other cars👌
In my first race I crashed into the wall at the first turn of the pitstop even though I was leading. Then stalled my engine after the stop and I was dead last.
I feel like changing the cams when I'm in VR would do more harm than good lol
You could explain the difference between starter and ignition. Heck, I don't know which is which, and I played this game almost from the beginning. I just know which button on my wheel I have to press. With one you could kill the engine while racing in 5th gear at 230 km/h. This happened to me once, I wanted to turn the TC down and clumsily pressed that button. Damn, I was mad.
A question: Do you kill the engine before you stop in a box, like when you start braking?
Hahah well ignition is just "electricity in to the car" and then starter starts the car :D Like if you turn your key in car to one position and turns on lights and AC and then next position starts the car :D
@@Jardier I'll probably forget which is which in two weeks. I just know which buttons I have to press on my wheel.
Ignition sequence would be better term. But I know it wouldn't fit into MFD.
When you enter pitlane, you're going 50km/h (or 48.9 with the Audi:)), do you press "ignition" when you stop in the box/at the pimarker, or do you press "ignition" to kill the engine before, like 10meters before the box while braking?
Why can't I use my mouse to adjust the pit settings?
How fast can you enter the pitlane with 1st gear and auto pit limiter without risking to get a penalty?
the automatic pit limiter, what happens when you are in a corner that uses 1st gear? does it trigger then also?
nono only in pits :)
@@Jardier oh sweet. Is it under assists?
why does he tell u to flip into 2nd gear when leaving pit road and cross the line. why wouldnt u ride 1st gear out to redline and than shift
@@Simracing25 because the limiter is still on in first gear for several more meters. Hitting second gear disables the limiter instantly.
I don’t like you can use automatic limiter, and I don’t like you can switch the view for pitstops in this game - in simulation i think this should not be an option.
But it makes sense to use it when anybody does in competition…
Good info. Just missed one bit:
When does it make sense to repair damage???
In most short races it’s often better without repair imo,
but for longer races I’m not sure.
I’ve seen when they stream they will say “I have 10 seconds damage” etc. but I don’t know where to find that information? And then does “10 seconds damage” mean if you leave the repair option selected it will add ten second to the pit stop to fix?
@@MarkGreenhall 1:04 when you look at the pit mfd on the bottom left you can see it shows 30 seconds for the time it will take.
If you crash for example and you check the menu and it says 35 seconds that means you have 5 seconds of damage (30 seconds to change the tires, 5 seconds to repair the damage)
Repairs are selected automatically so if you crash and you don’t want to repair uncheck the boxes on the pit mfd on the bottom and your time should go back to 30 seconds.
@@filetminyion5302 thanks! I’ll take a look next time
@@MarkGreenhall I actually had it in the video but I deleted it (zack Snyder edit) so very simple max pitstop in ACC when you change tyres and refuel is 30sec. Cant be more. So anything above 30seconds is damage - so for example 42s pitstop it says it means 12 sec of damage :)
@@Jardier thanks! Really enjoying ACC. My favourite car is the new Porsche 992 cup. Really enjoyed the two weeks after the DLC - busy servers, mixed class racing. Now it is back to GT3’s only and Monza 😂 I need to get faster to quality for the LFM races!
This game for yours!
not for arbic people
I can't understand this game
But Garn tourism 7 I understand everything .....
Hello i'm a ferrari mechanic and i'm watching this for a friend
I am sick with pitstops at career mode. It makes tyre change and driver change but i stay in pit 45 seconds.
The worst missing the box. I struggle with entering the pit at max speed. Sometimes I get the dressed DT penalty 😢
Thanks Jardier
I still don't understand, why I lost 24s on my first race (carreer mode).
I didn't make any mistakes, pit took 30s, I drop from P1 to P16, after leaving pits.
the thing is, I stayed at P16 / did not gain any positions, when going past the pits and nothing when the pit window was closed.
it's like the others didn't have to pit at all 🤷♂ no idea what I did wrong... managed to get on P3, but with 24s behind P2 at the end O___o
Are people in quick join ignoring mandatory pit stop or is just my impression?
But on the server they can disable auto pit limiter right ?
99% of severs runs allowed pit limited for past 3 years :) You dont see many without
Why does it take 8-10 seconds to turn off my car. I’ve sat at the beginning of a hot lap to see how long it takes to turn the car off once I hold the button. A second or so. Get in a race? 10 seconds.
Even when I gat the position right… I feel like I’m racing for Stake-Sauber!
Ciao hi to all 👍👍❤
Lol I need to be able to read and use mfu while driving first lol
OOR forces us to use Manual pit limiter 😅
They have to be special right :D
why are having to goto 2nd gear leaving the pit. makes no sense to me. I thought u said u did that because of speeding but that makes no sense to me because shouldnt pit limiter turn off automatically as soon as you get past the line. why do you have to shift to 2nd. wouldnt you want to run 1st to redline and than shift
He wants to get a slight head start on acceleration without speeding
My pit crew always drop me, can you have a word with them for me? 😄
2 times I have pressed my ignition button rather than my pit speed limiter 😢
😁
Stupid Porsche sitting in the way..... 😆
yeah
Why don't they fix this.. Ain't all real GT3 PIT crews change tires wherever their driver stops in front of their garage🤔
Well... you know we now need a 'How to Make Every Race start Perfect in Assetto Corsa Competizione' please! I definitely feel like I'm missing a trick with the brake?
I don't race a lot in leagues or anything, mostly just casually in public servers. But I feel like I usually get very good starts? Idk I can tell you how I usually do it. If there's no full formation lap I just hold the brake at like 50% or even more right from when we start moving. If there's a full formation lap I start holding some brake in the middle and final sector, and in the last 2-3 corners I hold at least 50% brake so both the front and rear brakes become fully green, maybe even a little bit into the yellow. That's gonna make sure your brake is fully up to temperature when getting to T1 and you might be able to outbrake some people there, and more importantly it is going to heat up your tires as well and make sure you have better pressures than the guys around you. Goes especially hard in for example the new 992 Cup car which has no tire blankets. With a full formation lap I'll go last to first on the first lap lol cause I'll have 25-26 psi whereas everyone else will have 23. Hope this helps a bit!
hahaha
Wow , i asked you for this yesterday but Of course you are always ahead . You are the real Jedi 🫣
Also thank you for solving my biggest issue in longer races
Hope it helps mate!!! :)
