Would love for you to join me at the daily live stream: / grubby
I'm lowkey so pissed grubby does not parry at all. It's a giant blue circle. It came up twice in the tutorial. Jesus.
Grubby looks so superhuman playing top-down RTS and MOBA type games. FPS games... Anyways love you Grubby lol
For the Emperor! Grubby's wrath is eternal!
I felt a lot of relief seeing the Helmet toggle. Helmetless space-marines imo shouldn't exist except when their helmet is broken.
These guys are the pinnacle of vigilance and preparedness, they would never take their helmet off for a casual conversation in a warzone.
That being said, as much as it might pain the studio to keep them on during cutscenes, I feel like that too should be a toggle.
"I support this" -- Omg, Grubby is Imperium officer material.
BLOOD FOR THE GOLDEN THRONE
SKULLS FOR THE INQUISITION !!!!!
Leandros?
Schizo Psyker not again!
@@DanteVerde-pt9zc That is actually the priests who yell that XD Not knowing they are falling to the chaos gods.
i asked Grubby on stream to play this game, and he said "i already play space marine" this is the video i was looking for.
1:55:42 I think you'll come around on the way Dawn of War 2 handles it. There's no base building at all. Your army is your everything. You develop your units throughout the game. The units are easy to replenish but you'll lose very expensive upgrades. This makes every fight insanely high stakes in the game as you're constantly bluffing against your enemy with your finger on the 'retreat' button in order to save your carefully built house of cards before it gets swept away. And your enemy wants the same.
As somebody who was also raised on classic RTS games, I like the first DOW game significantly better. I really enjoyed the campaign of the second game, but the first game was more satisfying from the RTS standpoint. Never was a fan of where the genre went with games like COH, and I personally believe this widespread change of direction was what heavily contributed to killing RTS games as it put it on a collision course with the newly arising MOBA genre. RTS games without proper macro element , that want you to focus on the micro of a few units, are just worse versions of those games. This is why the genre is now basically dead.
kinda sounds like warcraft 3 a little bit
This is exactly why it never felt like Warhammer to me, though - the crux of the whole setting is the absurd scale of everything (including disregard for your troops)
DoW2 multiplayer could have been huge. It's so unique and cool and plays like an actual tabletop skirmish but no one gave it a shot because of no base building.
great that you're willing to try different genres and vibes overall
It's called hype-bandwagoning. It's a YTer thing.
@@HighLanderPonyYT buddy i Don't know where you pulled that out from but thx for sharing anyway
@@wassimdarwich5918 I came up with the term myself. Pretty self explanatory. Once you see multiple YTers do it, it becomes clear it's a trend.
Grubby I will not watch because I'm excited for the game and don't want to get spoiled, but here's my like and comment
grub hub the mariner pizas!
Love the variety content
Go! Grubby, Go! Kill the Xenos! Destroy the heretic!
FOR THE EMPEROR GRUBBY!
Are you going to play some age of mythology?
lol
nice, all other creators are playing this game
they gave free key, Gw bought attention for like a day or two
Where did his DW silver shoulder go when he rejoined the Ultramarines? They keep that shoulder when they return to their chapters, and it would have looked rad with the blue.
I wonder if his service to the deathwatch being a punishment rather than an honorary thing has something to play in that decision.
Game: Nothing else matters.
Grubby: Well, staying alive too.
Sweet sweet Grubby is not familiar with 40k 😬
Early access markups are a joke.
Hey man, you should play monster hunter world you are going to love it.
"Hold to interact" has been a plague on gaming for decades.
Reminds me of gears of war…
cool to see you steam it, but stopping all the time, backtracking for no reason and running into every invisible wall non stop was kinda infuriating ngl lol
Xeno Scum
C
it is boring :D
Yeah seems pretty bog standard without moving the genre forward much at all.
Your condescending comments are starting to get annoying. Your insulting Your fan base for what reason? You just lost a viewer because of that. Thanks for showing your true colors
It hurts to watch, you don't parry, you don't execute and you attack haphazardly shooting groups instead of aoe attacking them. You should reserve your ammos to long range enemies and to bosses. You should stick to wc3
You mad?
Maybe listen to the 1st minute of the video.
GIT GUD SCRUBBY !!!!
I'd like to see you play against him in WC3, I bet that would go well and you definitely wouldn't get absolutely demolished and showcased an embarrassingly poor level of skill.
Here's a thought: you are not going to be very good at something you aren't familiar with. He said he's not familiar with this genre of video games at all. So... what did you expect to see?
@@RiskOfBaer There is a difference between being bad at a game because your a beginner versus being bad at the game because you don't do the game mechanics or ignoring them.
Wc3 is a moderately hard game from my opinion where you control a lot of troops and use hero skills build bases rally troops.
So, your doing like 5 things at the same. Base building, exploring, making heroes stronger, strategizing, micromanaging during clashes. I learned the mechanics of it probably after 30 minutes of playing like 20 years ago, after that it was easy peasy.
You would think that switching from wc3 to a shooting game would be easy for him. As there are only actually 3 things to do, shoot, melee, dodge and counter. Your not controlling groups, your controlling 1 person.
He said he played first persons shooters before yet what he showed here is really bad, as a fps player myself. for 1 and 1/2 hours he gets jumped by those zerglings and people spamming c and yet he ignored their messages. Not to mention wasting his bullets to 2 hit enemies. It literally looks like a journalist gameplay.
The game mechanics should have been learned within 30 minutes, not after 1 and half hour playing the game. I had expected great improvement of his gameplay and was thoroughly disappointed when he played pathetically for almost 2 hours even if chat reminds him what to do.
I just hate it when people ignore others advice basically and not learn from their mistakes.
