Wah Gwaan! UA-cam went on a search for the cheapest available apartment in the North New Tampa area in Florida and the cheapest apartment I could find available in an apartment complex was over $1500.

Good to see you again. I just moved to the area from NYC back in April. I decided to move on the outskirts to save money for now in NPR. Not ideal but saving a lot of money. Was able to find a 2bd 1bath for $1300.
I was just in NPR at Congo Golf, may have a video on that.... Honestly if I was moving now I would probably be in that area, not really a fan of these prices
@@EricEvolving Yeah. The prices were ridiculous in Tampa so moving on the outskirts to get in and explore was our best choice.

Only bad thing in New Tampa or Florida at all is rent control. In Houston you rent and long as you kee signing that lease the rent stays the same. My place in Hunters green has gone from 1185 to 1995 and the. When they add in fees and valet trash and stuff it’s 2145 a month.
It's the same way here and across the states. Destin fort Walton area is 2k per bedroom

Due to the pandemic tourists came in and bought everything up for 3 times the price . They renovated and rented at much higher price

Rent is easily absorbing 50% or more of people's incomes. I know people have moved back home. It's just horrible out there. It's nice of you to make videos though showing how much rent is. It can save someone a trip.
Holy cow...approx $1600-1700 for a 1 bdrm!!! I'm planning a trip to New Tampa April 2023. I have family in Pebble Creek and will be looking at apartments from that location to Wesley Chapel and this makes me very nervous. I'm a single and paying that kind of money for a small apartment might squash my plans for a move later this year. Bummer 'cause I hate where I live now. Thanks for the vid!!
Hi Eric 👋. Yup my rent is $1,995 a month for a 2 bedroom. In Pasco County 😁. Although it's a nice place to live I don't think it's worth the money.
I'm going to keep checking out these apartments, it's crazy.
No place in Tampa is affordable anymore. Most one bedrooms as a fall 2022 are going for about 1600 to 1800 a month and that's before extra charges for trash pest control and pets are included.
Be moving next month to Florida Bruce B downs very nice acres from Memphis

Depending on what you looking to do but SOHO and Armature Works have nice bars, check out Jerk Hut on Fowler they have a restaurant and bar

Every city has different wages. State of Florida min is now 11.00 an hour.

Water trash and pets are never included in the price that you see so I would safely tack on an extra 50 to $100 per month.
What does the rent include? Parking? Amenities? Gym? etc.

I'm planning to do some more videos on different apartment complexes, starting off in my area first then spreading.
You don't want to know what I'm paying, man lol. NY prices! It's no longer a buyers market; it's now a renters market. It will cool down within the next 18 months or so (prediction).
I have noticed many people from NY, NJ, PA, & CT are here. I sincerely hope no one votes how they used to in the tri-stats and ruin Florida. We all moved and ran out here for a reason.
The prices are crazy.
I don't talk politics, people from all over move here for different reasons.
Boo! Since you brought up politics, I moved here from NYC because I love the weather, palm trees and beach. I surely don't appreciate the politics here, though, especially as a person of color (voter suppression laws, Governor trying to get rid of historical black congressional districts, etc.). In addition, you have thousands of Floridians losing their housing on a monthly basis because many landlords are raising rents 50-100%. The Governor, though, is not doing ANYTHING about it. No Bueno, Elvis!
