Only part I wish he didnt do is sand it because it reminded me of cellulite with is natural for us bigger people. But either way it an amazing doll

Yes, I completely agree. Most people would slim her down because "She doesn't fit the part." Or "The clothes would look weird on her body", but I love the fact that the body was kept the same

As a plus size woman, seeing a body like mine sculped so lovingly and reverently was wonderful beyond words. This is so rare in our culture. I love every bit of this project.

I wish dolls like this were a thing when I was little. Every doll I had, had the same body nothing was unique. Same skinny waist, legs, arms, and stomach. Seeing dolls like this with actual human body proportions is amazing. It's sad how some companies that make dolls do not want to acknowledge the other body types out there.
They have made some improvements by broadening their spectrum(not quite enough in my opinion) but I wish that they had done it sooner cause I was really insecure when I was young because my barbies looked one way and I was a chubby kid that was bullied. I think that it would have helped me alot when I was younger. But honestly the fact that they are trying is better than nothing.

Thank you so much for not trying to "skinny" her up. So many artists try to slim down bigger folks, and I know they probably mean well, but I think it's counterproductive. Lizzo is beautiful as-is; changing her undermines everything she and her fans are about. I LOVE that you gave her realistic rolls. It's such a gorgeous sculpt and I'm obsessed.

As someone who has a body type similar to Lizzos this made me smile and made me so confident, there are many times where I don’t feel beautiful because of my curves that are “in the wrong place” and my big tummy, but you made me really see that my own body is beautiful, thank you hextian for helping me get more comfortable in my own skin ❤️

My mom is a black plus sized woman, and it makes me very VERY to see that someone appreciates all the love and beauty she and many others have even though they aren’t the “norm.”
My mom is also a black plus sized woman and honestly this is probably one of my favorite dolls ever. My whole life I have heard people fatshame my mom behind her back, and while I would never tell her, I always wished she was there to defend herself. I have stood up for her so many times it’s ridiculous how many assumptions people make based on weight. This doll was amazing and really refreshing to see

The barbie from Mattel these days that I saw yesterday are thicker, I saw a few dolls yesterday, the few one I saw not as thin as the general barbie (I believe the theme is like mom barbie sorry I don't remember) but like this barbie actual body in this video yeah never saw one rawly produced from factory :(

She looks like a Priestess from an ancient Greek or Phonesian temple..beautifully done!
A little fact about Hercules, his actual Greek name was Heracles in honor of Hera. Hera was not actually Heracles mother but a mortal woman. The labors he performed in the movie were based off the 12 labors he committed in the actual mythology. Also, Hera hated his guts 🕺. This is such a stunning doll! Amazing job ❤️

I really like how kind you were when you sculpted a nontraditional body type, that is often raked over the coals. You even made a point about how Greek and Roman sculptures of women where full of curves. I honestly love how plump Greek and Roman sculptures could be of women. So thank you, my self hate at being plus size wasn't triggered, I loved every moment as you took a barbie and made a full woman.
Yessss! I know I’ve sculpted “corseted” bodies before for that dramatic silhouette, but sculpting this made me feel like a renaissance artist. The realistic curves and how gravity affects the body too, it was all so nice and satisfying to sculpt. 😭 💕

As someone who's always adored dolls and has always had severe self esteem issues, I can't even imagine how much I'd appreciate someone sculpting my body into a doll...
Its also really freeing doing it yourself too, to be honest!! I sculpted my torso a couple years ago and it was so nice, so fun and it made me really happy.

as somebody who struggles with a binge eating disorder and thus struggles with weight, this doll (and lizzo as a whole tbh) makes me feel so much better about myself. every time barbie tries to do plus size girls they don't look plus size at all, if anything they look like goal weight. i'm so impressed with how you sculpted the body, adding realistic rolls and a larger chest, she looks so much like me! I think you said it best that sculpting the doll was like sculpting a Renaissance art piece. Her body is so smooth and naturally built/shaped that it's just awe-inspiring. Amazing work with building the outfit as well.
